And our dread enemy is Valkyries so we need them just to keep ourselves safe...

MadMartin: You'll get your Gyrfalcon. The opening story has you discovering the ships, so you'll be able to take it from there.

I despise guns and cannons in a medieval setting, I prefer sword and sorcery to aquebuses and the like... but yes, Steampunk will allow cannons. I am unlikely to start you with any, but that doesn't mean they can't be built and utilized (and with both Maeterra and Dwarves around, that won't take long, either).

I haven't worked out the exact casters/spiders/driders setup. The Ponies are too pure to even be hit by Lloth, so I really doubt you'll have Pony-Driders.

Yeah, the casters are going to be A Thing, probably be the nobles/elders of the society when I work it out. You not only don't have many, but they can't even cast healing spells not that you need those unless they research alternate versions.

I'm abandonin' this thread for the OOC thread I made earlier, so go post in that while I make you wait for the 7th. :P o:)

I might be wrong but... why shouldn't we include the driders into our crews? We are tolerant after all.

I wasn't planning on excluding them, I just didn't specify a 'drider' role, thinking that the driders would take whatever roles they liked/fit best in. Obviously some roles are easier or harder for driders to fill, but i'd think they would sort out where they want to be on their own. I could make a drider position if it seems a good idea though.

Aren't loth's driders a attempt to purify the civilisation? (from her point of view)
I remember reading in the Drizzt book's that they mostly consist of halfbreeds traitors and suchlike, that for some reason or other where considered unfit to sacrifice.

That depends entirely on the setting. In other settings they are honored as leaders, or just seen as mutations.

yeah, but that was because they had influence and were evil, not because they were driders.
