I will be honest, I actually laughed a good while from reading that and imagining it, thanks Chuck.ChuckDaRighteous wrote:I mean I'm not sure what we would bribe them with that we have. I don't think we have the means to throw a suitable party. We don't have a great hall or anything. No booze, no great bards, no sophisticated food, no concubines. Yeah that would be one dismal party.
About the "party," I did not mean it quite like a mass eating event, but just a small event to get the Satyr in good spirits after possibly discovering there is a lair in an "Abandoned Mine" and potentially fearing for his life if he learned there is a DÔÇÖJinn that can apparently bind creatures to its will. In this case, you do not need a banquet to have fun.
He did mention "greetings, creature of Gaia, have you come to join me for a song, perhaps you bring me some wine?" when he was first introduced; not like the satyr was bored out of his mind or only seeking pleasure, since satyrs are also known as travelers.
In that regard, you could host a small dinner composed of you, the satyr, and your most "charismatic" (better than nothing) associates including "Game," "Don," and "Gathers," if they are available. Once you do that, strike up a small conversation with the group, crack a few jokes, and then offer to perform a sing-along with him alongside a group dance (even if it makes you feel ridiculous).
Even if it looks underwhelming or ridiculously sorry, it can at least give the satyr a hearty laugh and express a gesture that you care enough to try with your limited resources.
Sure, you will not have the benefit of alcohol to lighten the mood, but hosting a small event with him as if he is a guest at home is better than simply giving him the "talk."

Edit: One other thing which I forgot to mention when I wrote this post yesterday, I apologize if this suggestion for the satyr may seem like it is indirectly forcing a specific decision to be made. Especially when this is your character and actions that we are talking about and not mine, which I forgot to note to myself when I was writing it.
When I wrote it, I was frustrated at how much time I took to create a post and did not take into consideration how this might interfere with the series of plans you mentioned you were already devising and how much it would affect the dungeon if resources were encouraged to be used wantonly.
Although the suggestion might have seemed outlandish or dogmatic towards your plans, Chuck, the intention of the post was to propose that you could still attempt decisions even if you had limited resources or lacked the standard ones, which might normally be found for the occasion.
In this case, the purpose of the post was to encourage others to improvise in the event they thought they did not have enough or was missing what they would normally mean.

It was also helpful that you bothered to elaborate on your reasoning afterwards on what you think would happen if the strategy was attempted; the judgment was perfectly reasonable.
