Well...
Eh...
Damn... Good call... But damn...

Okay, not so much dialogue here, but a lot to look into:
1 big ears sacrifice.
2 names hand.
3 so... 3 down in the negative... What about Maxo-kickaxo?

Vorpal better get his healz on.
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

Re: January 16th 2017 "All hands on deck"
They're all at negative HP. Even if they stabilize, none of them can move.
I'm pretty sure that means only Kore can save them now.

Que Vorpal, who is farther from the blast and may not be in negatives, somehow having gone up nine levels and being able to perform first level healing spells.

Re: January 16th 2017 "All hands on deck"
Well, 3 of them are at least. Will have to wait and see if Fumbles and MM only got knocked down. No idea what their HP were, but Thaco was farther from the blast, and is less negative, so if it drops in power over distance, they may be ok. Don't think they have any items that can heal, so might be up to whatever checks they can make to stabilize, unless Fumbles is able to cast partial level cure spells...WearsHats wrote:They're all at negative HP. Good to see the update schedule sticking for the 3rd week in a row.
So... Is this how you get to hell in a hurry? Problem is I can't see it physically taking the Axe with them.

The item description specifically said it would kill everyone in the room. I guess maybe someone could have made it through the door. We'll see.

Re: January 16th 2017 "All hands on deck"
Here, that explosion in Panel 6 is preeeeeettttyyyyyy!
Also, long may this schedule continue. It finally feels like I can get excited about the characters and the story again because we only have to wait a week to find out what comes next rather than having to chill out about it because it might take months.
Also, not to nitpick with you wears, but the description said it would create an explosion capable of killing everyone in the room. That kind of description seems like it should be immediately followed by "...unless the players pull off Something Awesome"
EDIT: Never mind, seems I misread.

Re: January 16th 2017 "All hands on deck"
More precisely it said it would DO enough damage to kill everyone in the room. But since Ears shielded the others with his own body, he probably absorbed a bunch of damage that was "meant" for the others.
E.g. the creator of the lol pearl accounted for the size and shape of the room, but while taking into account most explosions are ball-shaped, expanding from their origin (unless "redirected" by something else), maybe he (or she) didn't allow for someone sacrificing themselves like Big Ears did, because they didn't anticipate it.
Also, I imagine that Big Ears' shielding would have another side effect, namely that possibly some of the other items that got pulled from the wall "survived". Because the beams of light that were supposed to destroy them got shielded as well.

Likely just an oversight, or will be added later. It's also missing from the "Dibs" page from a few back...neilcsd wrote:Anyone else notice that there is no more "decaying realm" stuff?

...Okay, I am a lot more okay with Cheyenne's colours now with that gorgeous explosion. It'll still take a while to get used to though, and I think I'll always like Thunt's colours at least a little more.

I feel like this page really lets the new colorist shine. This, in my opinion, looks amazing.
Also: damn, the pace combined with the things happening really has me excited for next week!

Well, hands off to the group, they managed to not all be instantly killed.
On plus side, so stealing that room if I ever have a group of greedy players in my game.

Re: January 16th 2017 "All hands on deck"
Shouldn't take too long. He made segments he can piece together so he doesn't have to individually draw them anymore. And he's only doing inking now, so pages take much less work.

Son of a Crap! Dammit, Ears, why do you have to be so noble?
Does anyone else remember that quote page from way back, that had the Goblins logo in blue hellstrands? One of the quotes was "Ears....what have you done?" I expect to see that in the next few panels.

At least one item survived - you can see the blue cloth on the last panel, right side. I think this is the pain cloak. Although I don't know how it can help now as the damage already done.GathersIngredients wrote:More precisely it said it would DO enough damage to kill everyone in the room. Geez, why is Complains always getting maimed or crippled in some way! All the side-effects of a demon without any of the healing it seems.

I'm with you the whole way, BUT under that scenario, Big Ears ought to be deader than fried chicken. The fact that he's only -8 rather than dead (blown apart, etc.) makes me shake my head.GathersIngredients wrote:More precisely it said it would DO enough damage to kill everyone in the room.
