Why Names changed his sword?

Post by SirButcher » Wed Mar 30, 2016 2:19 am

I just realized, Names silently changed his sword in the rope room, without any notes or anything, and I can't see his +1 sword anywhere?

Did we saw any info about that and I just missed something?

He dropped his sword in the rope room, and picked up a different one. Don't really know why, I suspect he didn't want to risk his life on getting his sword back if he had a (albeit weaker) substitute.
I feel smart, but I'm pretty sure I'm an idiot.

He had it until he got cut down. Maybe it was tangled in the ropes themselves. I do still find it odd no note was made of it what so ever.

Agreed, it was kind of confusing.

Equipment change. Not too big a deal. Not that most of the goblins have much in the way of equipment and armor.

In this case, it should have been a big deal. That sword wasn't just a random sword +1. It had a backstory, and it was a symbol for Complain's willingness to break with tradition and fight back for real against those who are oppressing and exterminating not just his village, but his whole race. In other words, that sword had meaning. For it to be unceremoniously discarded without a word or backward glance was disappointing to see.
