A hovering frog made of stone... yes. o:)

Sorry, to me it looks like it's hovering. It's unsupported in the centre of the shaft. Even the one hand that might or might not be touching the wall is just spread out flat, not grabbing on to anything. We've seen the creature's palms; they're not covered with suction cups or grabby tentacles or anything else that might be clinging to tiny crevices tightly enough to support all that weight. And if lower limbs were holding it up, we'd see them.

No... the thing just has antigravity. It's flying.

But it does look quite froggy!

Oh! And I just spotted what might be an art error - if anyone's chatting with Thunt during the drawing session when he's doing the shading for this page, ask him if it's intentional, that the design on Door's forehead is missing one small circle, compared to the design on the cave wall on the earlier page.

That's what it looks like to me, too.

And I would say it's not a Kilk.

Yes, I saw that too. If it's a golem, then it's a feature of the dungeon, not a prisoner in it.

And (from what Thunt said in a live stream chat) it sounds like the missing circle in that symbol on its forehead is intentionally missing. Perhaps it's a countdown...?

Good point bringing up the wall marking Sessine. When I look back to here: http://www.goblinscomic.org/05062015/
the pattern on the wall agrees with Mr Door's head mark as far as I see. What am I missing?

I'm not sure the creature is reacting to Fumbles. It might just be reacting to another door being opened (again).

I don't think we heard the axe hit bottom (if there IS a bottom). It may have been caught by the golem, and it will do the same with passengers, essentially acting as an elevator?

It looks to me like he is hovering on a set of doors arranged in a circle, separate from the doors in the shaft. He must be a construct, like a golem.

You have to ...um, look closely!

In the wall design, there' are four glowing off-center circles ranged around the concentric ones. Magnify the design on the golem's forehead -- it has only three such circles. The one that doesn't appear on the golem's forehead is the smallest, on the lower left, nestled in that white ampersand-like ribbon.

Perhaps he's a kind of elevator - you do something at one of the doors to call him, he climbs up the shaft to you, and rotates his colored doors so one lines up with your door and you go through to where that door goes. So his repeated statement of "Door" really means "Which door do you want?" He's the elevator operator asking, "Floor, please?"

I thought that was just part of the wall.

Well, if he is an elevator, that makes things much easier.

Is it odd that it was able to hold such a comparatively small axe in its gigantic hands?

Ok. I see the wall stone with the halo on http://www.goblinscomic.org/05062015/ this page, but don't see it on the other (red decorated) version of the same wall, so I'm dubious. Ah well. We'll see.

I knew those HD Patreon images would come in handy for something! :)

You can make it out if you zoom in on the main page, but it's much clearer here:

I hope Thunt doesn't mind me sharing this detail with you all -- in the past, he has always said that forum regulars are privileged because they've stuck with him and supported him through thick and thin. In this case, I'm only circumventing a limitation of the web-publishing format to show what he really drew.

So here you can see that it's not a glowing wall stone. Those are irregularly shaped; this is a geometric circle. It's smaller than the others, and unlike the other three it's just a line, not filled with an IME color.

What it means... ah, well. That's where the fun starts.
