I don't know if it's too much to ask, but have you ever done a drawing process?

As in a tutorial of how I work, or an animation?

D: Not sure. What's the difference? You know, there's just be a video of the person drawing but it's sped up a bazillion times so that you can see how they drew a _____ hour drawing in a tenth of the time. I'd totally watch how you did these, they're awesome.

I love your sense of light and value. It's lovely.

Your art is awesome.

Also, I googled your band after I saw that cover, and you have some really good songs.

Again, thanks for the nice comments. I'd like to do a video of a painting, though that'd be a bit of a project as I've never really done any recording on my computer before, and I'm almost gaurenteed to forget to set up the recording before a session. Would also need to set up one mother of a playlist so I don't have to alt tab in and out to put new tunes on. I cannae draw without me tunes, captain!

I don't think I can draw for 5-minutes with at least some sort of white noise in the background, music heavily preferable. Do you have to do the entire thing in one sitting when doing a drawing process? I can't draw for but a couple hours at a time, that would be near impossible for me.

I don't technically have to, I'd imagine. I just need to start up the recordy business before each session, and I obviously can't alt tab back and forth between photoshop and other stuff while I work. We'll see if I can figure something out

Okay, I too googled your band. That was awesome. I'd never even heard of folk metal before but I can say that I am very pleased that I know now. If you don't mind me asking, what's your position in the band?

Thanks :) I play bass in Vanir.
Also, quick morning warm-up doodle. Have some she-hulk:

Edit: Oh, by the way, for the people who did check out the band, which songs did you like?

J├Ârmungandr, Elverkongens Brud, By Hammer They Fall, and Drikkevisen were really good, definately my favorites, I keep listening to them over and over. Sons of the North is pretty good too. I've only heard like 10 so far, though.
Wow, I suddenly feel embaressed, I'm essentially talking to a celebrity so casually D: when you were saying that one picture was an album cover for your band, I was just thinking small local band that's just lucky that one of their members can draw very well.

EDIT: Okay so I got some easy on Itunes, but Jormungandr and Drikkevisen aren't on Itunes or Amazon, and I'd feel really guilty to download it illegally (plus a lot of those sights have viruses anyways), so do you know anywhere I can get it?

Heh. I don't know so much about celebrity. I'm just some bloke in a mid-size danish folk metal band. Plus, I'm the bass player ;) Either way, Drikkevisen is not on iTunes. We are looking into putting it up there. Jormungandr won't be, because that one is just from our old as dust demo that we did years back, so that one I imagine you can feel free to rip off youtube (Where it enjoys way more views than we are comfortable with :p)

So, we finally got our backdrop printed and shipped to us. It is pictured here being held up by our lead singer and our piper. Pictured is also a small part of our extremely messy rehersal space.

Decided that my Inquisitor lady should have a properly fleshed out Retinue, so I'm working on them:
Image
So far from top left to bottom right: Sister Hospitaler (field-surgeon/torture expert extraordinaire), Tech-Priest (for all your machine godly needs), Cherub (Because sometimes you just need a monsterous baby angel), Sister of Battle (Because nuns with guns is badass), Sanctioned Psyker (Fighting horrible otherworldly fire with horrible otherworldly fire), Terran Noble Diplomat (For the situations that can't just be burned or tortured better), Veteran Guardsman (for situations that can)

I've always wondered, where are all these characters from?
I'd also like to point out that stuff like your "morning sketches" or "warm-up sketches" are essentially my "okay, sit down, get serious, we're gonna draw for 3 hours." :P
And that finished Sister of Battle is badass.

Most of the characters that I've done lately have been from the setting of the Warhammer 40k boardgame.
Image
I've got some basic story thing in my head for them, but for now I'll just add in what they do.

Clockwise from the top and around:

Octon Torak, Tech Priest: Works both as a technological advisor for the inquisitor, an emessary for the Machine Cult and keeps the machine spirits of the inquisitors gear and that of his fellow acolytes sated.

Seraph IX-M, Cherub: The Cherubim are vat-grown constructs serving as familiar to inquisitors who keep them around for prestige and intimidation. They have the intelligence of an average dog.

Megehra Castella, Orator: It is not all problems that are best solved with military force. On occasion, diplomacy and a silver tongue is called for. This is the role that the orator fills, while also acting as a scribe.

Severus Mal, Sanctioned Psyker: Sanctioned Psykers are those mind witches who have been taken by the imperial black ships and exposed to years of grueling trials to determine if their wills are strong enough to resist the touch of chaos and the warp. They function both as seers, long distance communcators and psychic lightning rods.

Tiberon Stern, Arbitrator: The Adeptus Arbites is the police force of the imperium, enforcing its laws. The Arbitrator serves the inquisitor both as a warrior and as an investigator, being well acustomed with investigations and interrogations both.

Gaius Atellus, Imperial Guard Veteran: Experienced soldiers of the imperial guard will sometimes be drafted by those more militarily minded inquisitors who need their combat experience and expertice to deal with their enemies.

Lupia Quintilla, Battle Sister: The Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas have a long standing connection with the inquisitors of the Ordo Hereticus, serving as the military arm of the imperial church, and sharing a similar loathing for witches and heretics. They are employed as soldiers by the inquisition as their firm faith make them strong agents in the fight against the enemy within.

Phoebe Athame, Sister Hospitaler: Seen as angels of mercy by the soldiers of the imperium, the Orders Hospitaler serve the inquisition with their expert medical knowledge both as physicians, and also often in the torture chamber, turning that same knowledge from medicine to interrogation.
