Rare? Not very. Lupus is as common as Homid, and the Striders have plenty to rage about.
But no, sadly I don't think there's a game likely to happen - I'm certainly not going to be running one.

Another butt-in to mention Fallout:Settlers, the Open world Fallout Vault Simulation similar in type with the Civ games, though with it's own rule set.
Open to all and always open to more minds.

I just had a thought: do you guys think we have the numbers here to support a Mafia game? 12 would be enough, I think.

We used to play a similar but more in-depth style thing a while back, but interest waned. I think you'd struggle to keep it going, if I'm frank. We played "Serial Killers" to incorporate clue-crafting and deduction in, rather than sticking with the traditional "it's not me guv, honest"/pure guesswork style of Mafia which would get a bit repetitive on a forum in the medium to long term. I guess you could try it?

Maybe it'll be easier to get players if the potential killers don't have to write out something subtle and detailed for every update. That said, it was the innocent players I didn't have enough of with SK.

So, would anyone be up for a single session Roll20 game in 2 days (30/09-2016)
I't would be around 1800 GMT/ 1400 EST and run for 2-4 hours.
Fantasy setting.
Simi simple system.
use mic and chat in roll20.
You'd have to have your character made in advance and know a few thing about the setting:
Building the character:
► Show Spoiler
Choose a name
An occupation (This has already been choosen, you are Appointed mage testers/Inquisitors)
A pass time
A specialty
A Vice and a Virtue
An ideal
Health: Fine
Mana: Full
A character has 3 Ability sets and 3 Abilities in each:
PHYSICAL:
Strength
Coordination
Resistance
MENTAL:
Intelligence
Wisdom
Charisma
MAGICA:
Power
Soul
Aura
You add 6 points among the different SETS (not the abilities but the headder)
no more than 4 in one.
Then you chose among your abilities:
3 Skilled
5 Unskilled
1 Disadvantage
OR
4 Skilled
2 Unskilled
3 Disadvantage
What is this?
Occupation: in things directly tied to your occupation, add 1 to the roll.
Pass time: in things directly tied to your pass time, add 1 to the roll.
Specialty: in things directly tied to your specialty, add 2 to the roll. (All these stack)
Vice:
Virtue:
Ideal:
By playing by a Vice/Virtue and your ideal you get chances to regain Ability Set points.
Health: Health is messuread in Fine and other descriptions, maybe added info (such as Stable, but missing a leg)
Mana: (Mostly Mana will stay full, unless some magic happens, no one knows their actual mana reserve, (except the GM) but experience and how you feel may tell you how much you can draw on it )
The Ability set points are points you may add to a roll, or you may use/burn a point to:
Make a re-roll (must be determined before you know the outcome of the result)
add 1d6 to the roll
Avoid death
Skilled/unskilled/disadvantage in abilities tells what rolls are made when doing things tied to the ability.
Skilled are 1d6 + best of 2d6
unskilled are 2d6
disadvantage is 1d6 + worst of 2d6
(dont worry, the game will have bu
Skills: you can try anything you'd like really, but the harder it is to do the higher the DC.
Example:
Arol - Mage tester/Inquisitors
Pass time: Music
Specialty: Negotiation
Vice: Gambling
Virtue: Honest
Ideal: Always be just, but never be fooled!
Health: Fine
Mana: Full
► Show Spoiler
PHYSICAL: 3
Skilled: Strength
Unskilled Coordination
Skilled Resistance
MENTAL: 1
Unskilled Intelligence
Unskilled Wisdom
Unskilled Charisma
MAGICA: 2
Disadvantage Power
Unskilled Soul
Skilled Aura
The world will be this one:
We will be starting in Gilfal
Yes, you will be allowed to use magic - in that case you will be a former royal guard now used a mage hunter/inquisitor
Any questions?
Yes, i know i've posted this multiple places, since it was short warning i wanted to give people a chance.
PM me if you need to know anything...

I know I have one player, but I'll advertise some more and other places...
Same setting, same rules...
If anyone would like to know, we will start en arefell, a small village/town in Refort...

Really early look for interest in a comic like game!
this is meant as practice for me and fun for you guys and gals (and myself of course)

Open recruitment for a new game:
Colonizing the New World - A grim look at colonial reality.
Would love to get some players, or at the very least some feedback on why you wouldn't want to play outside of just not having the time.

You can check out the
recruitment sub forum, I think anything recruiting recently has been through their own threads rather than posting here.

Hey, welcome to the forum
What sorts of games are you interested in joining? We're pretty slow around here in terms of turnaround and such, but badgeaddict is trying to get a writing game set up and there's three 5e games that are actively running at the moment. I can't speak for the others, but if you're willing to tolerate a stupid slow update schedule for a while there's potentially space in mine? Send me a PM if so and we can chat.
