Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Sorry for the double post, but I've added a prompt for now! If it doesn't sound interesting I'll toss a few more up to give some choice.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
I wonder how the prince would find my character out! But that does seem..interesting.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Indeed, it does sound interesting.
*is working on character's background now; stats are about finished, assuming the Tremere clan book doesn't bring something radically changing*
Also, what kind of starting equipment do we have? The book didn't mention what's reasonable for a starting character. (I don't think; the book's very large, and since it's image-based, the search function doesn't work. So it's possible I just missed it.)

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
When it comes to starting things, it's more a matter of justifying what you want to have based on the money and resources you've given your character. Valuable property can be included under finances, and toward the end the book there's some basic information on weapons, vehicles, etc and their costs.
If it's something with negligible cost, you're fine carrying it, provided you let me know about it. Just keep in mind money saved and income are different... If you have thousands saves but have no income, it's entirely possible to have finances dry up during the campaign.
Things like having a haven are dependent on both resources and finances. If you have or make a lot of money but don't have a house listed with start game resources, you can still justify renting (or if you're ludicrously wealthy, buying I suppose.) I think the book goes over that bit specifically under sheet creation, though; I remember it giving an example where a character was left with a family house despite having little financial resources.
Tremere is a fine clan! Just be careful to keep a reason to interact outside of the clan. C: it's looking like I need a new hdd (my files are fine but Win7 borked so I'm just gonna stick in another drive and install a new copy of windows on that, since my key is tied to my old mobo.)
I'd really like to properly convert the book to text, but I can't until my PC is up. :c

Most likely I won't participate. I didn't even started to read the rules yet and certainly wouldn't start for some more time.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Sounded like Trems had a communal clan haven available to them.
I survived the forum move 4 times... yeah, I feel old.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Yes, the local Chantry, though that wouldn't bar Tremere from having a separate haven of their own if desired.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
As soon as possible. My computer is still being fixed (I'm loading software and saving all the salvageable data I can right now,) and its hard to make estimations before I'm "functional" again.

As a quick note, Amara's computer is fixed. I also plan joining her game as a Malkavian. :3

:b
Well, I'm bogged down with assignments today (funny, being stuck at home sick, you'd think I'd have gobs of time ;_; ) but I will make it a point to finish getting clan books up as soon as this paper is finished, so expect them in the next few hours.

Well, I have more or less completed my character sheet for my character. Currently pending Amara approval before I add polish to everything!

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Heh! I need to add merits/flaws but that is it. I would ask if your malk would know mine and the answer is most likely no...

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
My Tremere Linguist isn't quite complete. There's still some backstory details to hammer out, and I was holding off a bit to see what the Tremere book was before finalizing anything.

Clan books up. I apologize for resolution but my other copies appear to have grown legs. In the process of indexing my drives and we'll see what else I can get my Z:/ to regurgitate.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Feeling crazy disorganized, and uneasy about the PDF links being there.
Hey, everyone that's interested in this game, could you please pm me with your emails? I'll invite you to Dropbox, and I'll setup a shared folder for the game. That way we can store sheets, etc in the same place.

The sheet, or Dropbox? I'm at class presently, but when I get home I can help with either.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Dropbox is an application and web service. You register an account and you get a few gigabytes of free space, then you install a small background application on your machine that synchronises the contents of your Dropbox online with a folder on your computer; drag something in there and it will be uploaded and archived completely automatically (which is great for University/College work). The feature that we will be using is the shared folder feature. It means that if you drag a file into the shared folder on your computer, it will be synchronised and kept up-to-date with everyone else's folder.
tl;dr:
Install it, and the <Username>/Dropbox/Vampire the Masquerade/ folder will be kept up to date with everyone else's.

Re: Vampire the Masquerade
Erm, I think I'm going to have to bow out. I'd like to give this a shot, but I just plain can't do Skype, and I'm not a fan of DropBox either.
Sorry.
Sorry.
