Welcome! In this forum game, some of the players take on the roles of serial killers trying to kill everybody else. The "innocent" players, known as citizens, try to guess who the killers are by looking for clues in the descriptions of the kills. Every round lasts about a week and requires you to post every day, preferably more. To sign up, copy the numbered player list and add your name at the bottom.

If you are a new player, please read the rules. TLDR: The host is always right.

The basic rules of the game are as follows:

1. Every kill must have a clue pointing towards who you are.
2. If you are interested in the killer role, please PM the host with your dummy kill shortly after you sign up.
3. Roles are assigned randomly by the host.
4. If you do not vote twice in a row, or abstain for two rounds, you will be sacrificed and given to the Ghosts to control.
5. The Golden Trowel will be given randomly to someone who submits a dummy kill
6. Votes must be in by the designated time.
7. The host is always right and may not disclose if there are any twists in the round.
8. If no one sends in a dummy kill, the host will randomly assign the Killer Role to someone, or will take possession of them.

Yep, I honestly don't have time to play at the moment, partially because it's tour season and partially because I have a lot of work left to do on the forum but it occurred to me awhile ago that all the sign up list shenanigans might be offputting to anyone who hasn't played before. Providing a more simplified version of the rules with the less commonly used portions in spoilers could also be helpful. Just my 2 cents

Hello my friends welcome the first turn of Thuntworld Serial Killers Round 82. My apologies that I took so long to post this up. We have a very interesting killer this week, a loner. Good luck to both the citizens and killer.

Kill of the Loner
It's a grisly sight, I know, that of death. Though no form of death matches that of murder. The look of shock as they feel pain, their grasping hands as they search for mercy. I can certainly be thankful for my ability to strike from a distance, as I do not think I could stand to be near the pitiful souls as the fall. I never intended to be a killer. My only wish was to help others. But I have seen the chaos and pain this place causes, and it seems the best course of action is to remove it. My companions disagreed, but there have been cases of their disagreeing with my views before, and they have come around. I feel they will do so again.

I stand in the dark, sensing the position of my opponent, ready to strike. I keep a blade at my side, waiting for the right moment. He has been sleeping deeply, but recently he's been much more active, preparing to act. He crosses the room, still growing accustomed to the dark as I send the knife through the air to strike him in the chest, aiming for a fast kill. I strike true, as I always do. It seems I could almost change the direction mid-flight, should I need to. The blade plunges into his chest, and he begins to turn. Horror and pain are clear on his face as he falls. I am ashamed by my actions, but it is necessary. I know the intentions of those staying here, and I need to stop them, for the good of those outside this place. As the last of his life dissipates, I turn and leave.

D10? So you weighted your vote against somebody? You'd only have needed a d8 if you were rolling to vote, as you can't vote for yourself, and, if you exclude yourself, there are only 8 players you can choose.
