If you look closely, you can see that there's a red pixel there which I presume to be it's eye. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's a rabbit.

Just need Krulle's action and then I can update early. I could possibly update more than once per day if everyone got their actions in... or if everyone agreed to skip people if at least 3 people had their actions in.

Also, M0rt it's cute that you don't think I'd leave myself plenty of room to work with on all sides for an open exploration map. I mean there are limits... but this map is probably about the size of the Last Ditch Dungeon.

Also, question - What does "hiding" exactly entail? Like we could only hide behind that log in ambush or something..?

Anyways, if Dreamer checks out E5, I'll move D3-D2.
Sorry everyone, didn't notice a threa was up and saw no rference to it in the CTF signup thrad...

I move to E5.... (still reading up, and might change if I rea a better idea)

Edit: E5 it is.

And I'm on European time schedule....

The hunt begins as the Proudbanners advance North together...ish.
Image

At first they see nothing in particular, but Dreamer does hear some noises coming from the hollow log.

Image
The sounds Dreamer was hearing grow slightly fainter. However, as the Ragonastick's move further North they spot their first rabbit!

Next moves due by 8:00PM EST tomorrow (about 27 hours from now) if I get all the moves early I will update early.

Alright, I think something might be in the log... I think that if Dreamer attempts to scare it out, I could tackle into it? Or perhaps I should move into now D2 and try and do that, since the majority of you guys are on the other side...

Mistake: Somehow I ended up in the wrong spot. I got shifted over a square before I started my sprint.

I'd say go to d2 and guard against anything coming out M0rt.

Assuming I'm moved to where I'm supposed to (what is now c5) move up to d5 then tackle into the log on d4

Well, I'm mostly worried that I'd move to D2 and guard, only to have the rabbit (if it's a rabbit) slip by me, in which case we couldn't capture it unless we all move in my direction to surround it again.

Instead I propose that I move to D2 and scare it, while Dreamer return-tackles the square he's in..?

Dreamer could guard while we both tackle into the log from different ends. Meet you in the middle.

Given that the grid moves (which is really neat), maybe we should post our moves as north or up instead? Grid squares might get confusing. What say you, Moose? You're the one making the moves happen.

Does the tree take up the whole square, or can I move past it by going up twice?

You can move up past the tree without problem, the only time you might encounter a problem is if you tackled into that square. Also the grid squares actually work surprisingly well for this, I make all the moves before I adjust the grid so being able to mark the exact square someone wants to move through is very helpful (this update only took me about 5 minutes).

Okay. In that case, I'll roll run to D6. (Via C6, of course.)

SeeAMoose wrote:There are rabbits throughout this section of the forest. Rabbits like flower covered meadows. They are normally so abundant you can scarcely go 10 feet without stumbling on them. For whatever reason that is no longer the case. Rabbit's are fast, and being small are hard to hit. They are timid creatures and will run directly away from anything that gets too close. However, their eyesight isn't great (can't see more than 2 squares) and they aren't too bright. Clan hunters will often chase rabbits towards other hunters. Waiting behind cover to pounce on them negates their evasiveness. Additionally they tire quickly and take time to recover. They are small enough that a goblin can carry two of them, although they will be encumbered.
I don't think charging straight at it is a good idea pat. Once we deal with the log we can try to surround it. You could try to set up a flank for now.

Dreamer spaces out while listening to the sounds and wonders whether a Fox has been disturbed in its rest.... IF the sounds grow stronger again, Dreamer wakes up and reflexively defends

[edit], IF he hears them but they remain like far-ended, he takes a peek, prepared to hide away if something jumps out....[/edit]

Just so you know, you can specify actions like looking into the log, no one who had been in a position to do so did yet so I didn't do it last turn, but you can.

It has more to do with the average of everyone's positions. Or at least as best as I can manage it.

Pats starts chasing after the rabbits, while the rest of the Ragonasticks advance further North, blocking off both ends of the log, which was a terrific idea. Dreamer hears the noises in the log get further away (while growing louder) and takes a peak inside only to see a rapidly retreating rear end of a fox.

Image
Pats keeps moving towards the rabbits, one of which sees him now. Righteous tries to tackle into the log, but can't because Dreamer is in the way (which is probably a good thing because his head might get stuck in the log). Dreamer gets a great view of the fox exiting the log and trying to remove No Name's leg.
