What is that at your right foot? If it is usefull, and not just a speed line, pick it up. Look at the doorway. Is that a bell and yellow tape? If not, what is it? If it is, I think we can walk past this doorway. Definately don't ring a bell, and also, be careful just in case the door opens up suddenly.

Pretty sure that blue thing is the light fixture we threw earlier. Or, er I mean, that someone else threw earlier, um, probably.

Do knock, knock.
Actually while knocking the door, say "knock, knock".
Then run down the hallway.

Looks like someone was shot here, possibly on the inside of the door. You could look at the blood spot next to the doorknob to tell which way the trauma came from. I'm thinking if someone shot from the inside, then someone with a gun plus a dead body are still inside. After looking at the blood spot, keep going down the hall.

Use all of your force (and a flashlight) to break the glass. Make sure nobody is on the other side first though.

I don't remember if we've seen any of those names before, and I don't recall if we are on 'iteration' 4. Those could be important. But, might as well throw them off guard by calmly typing 24, or that line, on the screen. If no responce after a minute, see if there is a handle on the door and walk on in. If no handle and still waiting, break the door using a 9 inch nail.

So this is validation of what you have suspected all along "Michel". The real you is behind this door. Someone or something is using it to make copies, and playing some kind of elaborate training game or something with those copies...in other words-you. This is why some of the dead people (including Mr. Eyeballs back there) look JUST LIKE YOU!!!! Now, whether you want to believe these little voices or not, is totally up to you. I have a feeling though that you will end up with an exploded head if you just try to break into the door. Is that a risk you are willing to take? I think not. One of the Dr's is dead. Back there with an exploded head. The others are possibly as well. As much as you don't want to do it, you may have to open the bloody door, or the crime scene door to get more clues about exactly how to solve this without your head winding up as a red cloud of vapor. But if you want to listen to these other voices and go rushing into an obviously important place and not think that the powers that be that are watching the place won't "bip" you and obliterate that lovely orb you call a skull, well then you just go right ahead and get that nail out, buddy!

While you're at it, here's a nice mental image for you.... :mindblown:

What is the brown text on the left in the 7th image? The background messes it up.

So, we were a test subject. We passed. They made a new one, a tripple: psi, combat, and our 'memory'. And the new guy would get a chance to escape in a new game? Odd. I don't think the experimenters really know what is going on. I think the voices are stronger than they can possibly imagine. I think we should bust out and kill them all! Muhahahaha!

Meh, I'd rather play your new d&d-lite game. I'm less a fan of this modern survival horror action. Still, it was fun. Thanks for running it.

IRL, the memory benefit from multiple lives would be limited I think. Your adversary would see all of these identical dudes dieing assulting them and eventualy get wise enough to change something earlier in the sequence than the furthest depth of previous penetration. Unfortunately, the memory bit make for the horror part of the story, and thus is integral for story reasons. Also, "memory" would be low on my list of wished for super powers. It is also vulnerable to assult on the source of the clones.

... the voices he says he hears, they are more than meets the eye!

Yes, you were right.. and yes... THe voices are more than they think... (do Mr. brown suspects)
And that is the story behind the next "game" but I'm not sure I'll ever make it... there don't seem to be that big an interest in modern games AND, I still have 2 other games to complete first.

The DnD lite game test will replace this one, as my "when i have time" game.
The real DnD lite game will not be up before I complete at least 3 of my 4 ongoing games.

That was, as suspected, the heroine addict. Marco.

The one you killed in his place "Kurt" was from bunker 17.

But... if from the very beginning we were just going further down the corridor, not stopping to go through any doors, we could have found this ending very, very soon. Almost instantly. Am I right?

Yes and no...
You would find it faster.. that's for sure, but going there so early would mean you meat Marko in the hallway when he was trying to get away, he would have shot you when you had no weapon.
that would probably have made most people go in the different direction on the second run. if not, then there would be a risk that you would run into Kurt before he meet up with Wladimir.
Kurt's message was just to team up with the first person he found. so that would potentially have given you a team mate, changing a lot of stuff..

All in all.. the game would not have been just walking down the hallway...

Thanks.. Can you all see why I was looking forward to showing all that? :D

Which player proposed action(s) amused you as GM the most? Or, any other particularly memorable moments for you? Maybe we suprised you, or did something awesome?

Oh... you surprised me a lot, all the time...
The most funny action? Hmmm....

"Ride a corpse down the stairs like a slide! It will be fun! Yaaaaay!
Or you could walk down. Like a nerd. Are you a nerd, Micheal?"

by beandip is a clearly in the top.. but there were many many actions that made me go "WTF.... HEHEHE!"

I was surprised when you decided to use a string to open a door.... that actually saved you from a Electrocution by power through door knob... so... good call there...

Memorable, the most memorable is probably the reaction everyone had to the doll... I rally like how it freaked some out and made you all go paranoid about everything there after.....

Awesome... I really liked that you took the injection just as the head bomb was about to go off... in fact, the injections was a combination of adrenalin and speed... A cocktail that, while it fry your brain and puts a heavy burden on the heart after even a few uses, produces extreme energy and attention.. sadly it also enhances emotional reactions to the extreem... rendering people useless the first five minutes or so....

Did I understand it right:
Head was blown up, because scientist didn't want us to take drugs?
Also was it the only ending, for this game?

Anyway, maybe change the thread name now.

No.. they blew it up because he was at a dead end (There were no way out without help from the outside (could have been Kurt if you had seen him early on)

About the ending... yes and no.. It was the supposed ending... but if the players had died 8 times without to much progress, or 3 times without any progress (say players goes into the same auto lock room 3 times :S) the experiment would have been called a failure, and we would have seen how another team of scientists would have come in and take over the project. a new character with other abilities besides the "voices" would then have been available in a new game if I'd made that.. the 3 scientist that we saw now would then be escorted into the bunkers, trying to escape from said new character....

Well I have to say I THOROUGHLY enjoyed that. Poo on the naysayers who say they don't like the modern games. I think there is plaenty of interst, look at the Sidious Diabola game. It didn't stop due to lack of interest, but lack of the GM to do it justice at this time, so they chose to end it. I would say to shelf it maybe, but don't just toss the idea, I would relish the chance to do this again with PSI powers thrown in!

This being my first forum game other than the word games, I had a complete blast. Thanks LAYF!!

I still want to know what's behind the taped off door and the bloody room.
