Coat feels his wounds gently.
" Well should we rest or attack to get at the cocoons where some good loot might be..?"
"Hmm...Personally I think we should rest. But we can definitely come back here later. For now let's get going."
"The spiders are evacuating the cave I think we should head back and report to the chief, after Wants and Walks get out of there."
She shouts "Wants and Walks if you guys can hear me head back to the entrance!"
"Let's get out of here" Wants says and he heads to the exit, followed by Walks. None of the spiders attack them, they all start to work on the tunnel walls. The white spider follows them a while, but doesn't attack.
When Wants reaches the others, he complains. "What! were retreating,we almost killed them all ! Could we atleast come back tommorow to get the loot ? It would be a shame to leave it here. Or you know, I could stay here to guard the entrence?"
When Wants sees the beaten up Tinkers, he hands him over the potion which can still cure two hp.
"Well, you guys seem to have had an adventure..." WalksBriskly says when they exit the cave. Grace walks out of the cave, ahead of the others, but stopping at the mouth. "It's morning already? We better head back."
"Are you done with my armor?" Coats asks Tinkers on the way back to the warcamp.
"Oh, of course. Here you are. I hope it fits properly." Tinkers hands Coats his armour.

Cowers awakes and feels refreshed. Somehow she managed to fall into a deep sleep. Maybe the grumbly but experienced old fighter made her feel safe, at least subconsciously. She awakes by the smell of food. Bones started a fire in the old oven inside the watch tower and is cooking some kind of stew made of their rations and water. Against the disgusting way it looks, it smells very good. "Ah, rise and shine!"
When she takes a look out of the tower, Cowers can see a boat arriving at the jetty. It is not the fishermen's boat, since they are still out on the lake, busy fishing.

Map:
The spidercave group enters G6.

Battle:
- Battle ended for the spidercavegroup.
- Tinkers is back to 3 hp if he decided to drink the potion.

Items:
- Coats regains his holey leather armor +1
- All burning torches are burned away now, only the two unlit ones in Wants backpack remain.

Time:
Day 5 starts, it is a sunny morning.

"Hmm...Thank you, but I think I'll just let time heal these wounds. This really hurts, but we don't have a lot of healing potion to go around. Save it for an emergency situation." Tinkers hands back the healing potion to Wants.

Grace stays close to Flies on the way home. She follows Flies when she goes to the chief and finds him talking to two unknown goblins. One looks like a guardian from the hometown, the most formidable warriors of the tribe. The other one looks like a scholar, one of the rare goblins who specialise on information gathering rather than fighting. Appears is talking to the scholar "..searching for a relict in the orc town. I expect them to come back, seems too important to them. If they don't find it over there, they will come her too. But have a look in the letter yourself." chief appears hands the letter to the scholar. Appears and Age notice that Flies and Grace are behind them, since the scholar stares at them. Coats joins in.
"You're back from the cave! What happened, you look beaten up?" Age asks. "Give us your report, but hurry, we got something important to discuss." Appears adds.
Flies reports what happened. When she is done, the scholar only says "Interesting".
"We will deal with that later, looks like a standoff to me." Appears dismisses the girls. "Get some rest! You will find some ointment bandages in the pot on the stove in my hut. " Age adds, then they Turn back to the scholar who started reading the letter.

Tinkers and Wants are already in bed, while Flies, Grace and Coats get some bandages from the tellers hut. Then they go to bed too. Grace dreams of Maglubiyet driving the spiders away with fire. But suddenly Maglubiyet has Grace's face and his sword is a giant torch glued to his hands. Still sleeping, a smile plays on her lips.

Walks tries to find the hunters in the warcamp, but he does not find any. "Friendly and Stabs went back to the hunters camp after they delivers some meat" he finds out. Age is busy with the scholar and other things at the moment. So he pets and feeds Nauhir.

Cowers awakens. "Morning," she says to Bones, yawning and stretching a bit. "Something smells go-" Out of the corner of her eye, she spots the unidentified boat. Her bow is in her hand in an instant "-um, I thought the warcamp only had two boats?" She asks, pointing out the new boat at the jetty.
"Well, you did arrive at the camp by boat without one of our boats being sent up the river. Where could the boat possibly come from? I got no idea. Maybe it came up the waterfall?" Bones says with a smile on his face. "Eat something, then your brain will work better!" he offers her a spoon. Cowers figures out that that was his way of telling her that the boat is from the hometown up the river. She calms down and eats the stew.
"Our job is to watch this side of the lake." Bones says when he sees she got calmer again.
Since he is on watch, she continues to sharp the sword after she is done eating.

Battle:
Flies, Grace and Coats get +1 hp due to resting and using the bandages:
Flies is at 4/5 now and sleeping.
Grace is at 3/5 now and sleeping.
Coats is at 3/6 now and sleeping.

Tinkers and Wants did not get medicine:
Tinkers is still at 1/5 and sleeping.
Wants is at full health 5/5 and sleeping.

Cowers nods. "I suppose, although it doesn't hurt to pay attention, on the chance they decide to stop by the warcamp first." "Who is they? The humans you drove away? The warcamp knows they might come, and we cannot do anything when they show up over there. Even if we would row over there, we could only help bandaging up those who survived. The warcamp has many open eyes out in the woods now, but we got only four and mine are weak. So I suggest keeping yours on this side of the river. That's no reprehension. It's a lesson from the goblin who survived the most battles. As fearful you are, as good you should listen to my advice. A fast move can be over in less than a second, and it could be all the warning you get. Sometimes you even see less from your enemies before the battle begins, if you see anything at all. That lesson might not be of worth in our situation, since we expect them to show up in larger numbers and continue to search through the town without trying to hide."
Cowers listens while she continues to sharp the sword. "I hope the others are alright. I wasn't thinking about it yesterday, but exploring a cave shouldn't take very long. Yet Age said they weren't back yet." "There are larger caves than you can imagine. In the mountains you can walk for days on end below the earth without reaching the end of a cavern system or another exit. One I - what is that?" He squints his eyes and looks to the east. When Cowers looks into the same direction, she sees a pillar of smoke, about one day's march east. It is to large for one campfire. When Cowers concentrates very much, she can see three distinct pillars of smoke which are very close to each other. "That's smoke, isn't it?" Bones asks.

"Hmm...So...Nauhir, are you a companion or a normal animal..." WalksBriskly asks as he gathers some dried meat and goes out to the forest, searching for a stick to play fetch with.
Nauhir barks when Walks asks the question, but keeps walking along Walks.
Walks grabs a stick and throws it. Then he looks at Nauhir, trying to get him to bring it back, but the wolf makes sounds like a hyena, like if he is laughing. Walks picks up another stick, but just when he wants to throw it, Nauhir runs him over, gets on top of Walks and looks him in the eyes, nose to nose. He gives Walks a short snarl, then he jumps off and is like he was before.
Walks decides to look for the hunters instead. Nauhir follows him as nothing had happend. They reach H5, but no trace of a hunter so far.

Flies, Grace, Coats and Tinkers dream of glory filled battles and fighting against spiders.

Wants wakes up and walks around in the village looking for interesting things. He finds the gardeners doing their work and sees the fishermen in their boat out on the lake. Another goblin carries some dried meet to the storage. One moved some timber and tools to the burned down huts but seems undecided what to do. Wants also notices Appears and Age talking to two unknown goblins. The smaller one of the unknow goblins nods, then they walk to the jetty and climb in a boat in which two more goblins waited for them. They start to row up the river.

Battle:
Flies, Grace and Coats get +1 hp due to resting and using the bandages:
Flies is at 5/5 now and awakes refreshed.
Grace is at 4/5 now and sleeping.
Coats is at 4/6 now and sleeping.
Tinkers is at 2/5 now and sleeping.

Turn 49
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Flies leaves her hut. She can see various common forrest birds show up in the sky from time to time, like doves, hawks, buzzards, eagles, many kinds of songbirds, blackbirds, ravens and owls. But most of them she can rather hear singing somewhere in the trees than actually see them. Flies meets Age who is on her way back to the gardens with another goblin.

Wants heads to the burned down hut and offers to help the goblin.
"Hey, there I'm Wants, Want to be save, need a hand with that?"
"Absolutely. I'm All thumbs, thumbs for short. Appears send me to repair the hut or build up a new one, since the hometown counsel guy promised us some more warriors. You just missed them. Appears told me to grab any free hands I see to help me. I know a little bit about carpentering but I totally live up to my name, so i am all thumbs. But with your help we should be able to build up something. I say we build a new hut. The old ones are too damaged. I already moved some stuff here, even found a rusty saw in the stuff you brought over from the orc town!"

Wants notices the heap of some tools and material Thumbs moved from the storage to a free spot close to the other huts:
- 1 carpenter hammer
- 1 small carpenter hatchet
- 1 rusty one man saws (from the 1 kg rusted iron tools)
- 1 ladder
- 2 m┬▓ wooden planks and beams
- 1 handfull of nails
- 1 wooden toolbox (orc size)
- 1 rusty and burred knife (from the chest)

"Let's drive some beams into the ground first. Use that to carve a hole into the ground here, Walks." he hands the rusty and burred knife to him while he uses a pointy stick and the carpenter hammer to loosen the ground somewhere else.

Grace, Coats and Tinkers dream on. Grace dreams about her being Maglubiyet or Maglubiyet being her, Coats about fighting epic and glorious battles, and Tinkers dreams about a horde of goblins on spider mounts charging into battle in wedge formation.
After a while Grace and Coats wake up and feel much better. They really had required a snatch of sleep. Tinkers awakes too, but his muscles are aching and he feels some bruises hurting when he moves too much.

"Well, so you are able to understand me...A bit...I wonder if anyone knows Orcish..." WalksBriskly mutters and he continues back to the hunters camp in H4. When he reaches it, he finds Arrow, Friendly and Stabs working on the smoked meat. Looks like they are getting ready to carry it back to the camp.
"Ah good to see you, we can always need more hands!" Arrow welcomes him. "There is much meat on the boar your little friend killed. Grab your knife and help me." Arrow is busy cutting the meat from the boar which Stabs then puts it into the smoking chamber. Friendly is busy making the fire smoke enough to preserve the meat. He coughs from time to time even though he put some cloth over his mouth and nose.
Walks watches how Arrow cuts the meat and tries to imitate his methods.
Cowers nods in response to Bones' question. "Yes. It... wait... that's too much smoke for a single fire..." Cowers gasps as she takes in the sight of the smoke. "That's... that's at least three different fires! How... how many adventurers are we facing, here?!"
"If it is three fires, it won't be adventurers. More than five or six of them would kill each other about experience and loot. And at least one per adventurer group got enough survival skill to make their fire not smoke. I guess it's something else."
Cowers stares out the window a bit, then adds, "It looks like they're a-about a day out. What should we do?"
Bones takes a look to the lake. The fishermen's boat is closer to the orc town side of the lake than to the warcamp.
"We warn the others like we should. I will try to whistle the fishermen over here and tell them what we've seen. Maybe we won't have to row back. After all, we only know somebody lit three fires. Keep watching them, I will be back soon. And if it makes you feel safer, you can watch me too."
Cowers continues to sharpen the sword, while Bones walks down the stairs. After a few minutes Cowers can see him at the boathouse. Shortly after that, the boat on the lake starts rowing towards him. It stops in a little distance to him, than it starts rowing back towards the warcamp.
Since it is a sunny and bright day, Cowers notices that she might see more from the top of the tower than through the stained glass.

Battle:
Grace and Coats get +1/+2 hp due to resting and using the bandages:
Grace is at 5/5 now and awakes refreshed.
Coats is at 6/6 now and awakes refreshed.
Tinkers is at 2/5 now and awakes.

Turn 50
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Cowers leaves the sword and climbs up to the top of the tower with her bow, taking the opportunity to do a full scan of this side of the river. "Probably not adventurers. P-probably not adventurers. Please, Maglubiyet, don't let this be an army of adventurers..." She says to herself.
She sees more forest covered hills in the east and north, steady growing into mountains in the distance. Like Flies already spotted, she noticed that the forest below the cliff and southwards fades out into grassland. Far south she can see a shore and more hills covered with forest and a single mountain in the middle of that. Little patches of forest are spread over the plains, while narrow lines of trees indicate where rivers and creeks might be.
Most of that area is plains, like the most of the north is forest. Cowers could never see so far in her life before. She notices that is very easy for her to see things far away. Maybe her eyes are trained very well because she observed her environment carefully all the time because of her paranoiac fears, maybe she only got luck and it is in her genes.
She notices the smoke is fading, like somebody extinguished the fires. Seems that whoever lit them is back on his way now. Bones climbs through the hatch an joins her. "Ah, there you are. Anything happened while I was gone?"

"Well, Nauhir, it seems your boar will help feed us for a while. You should be proud." Walks says, scratching the wolf behind the ears, then going back to work. "So, any chance you can teach me something about this while we work? I mean, what's the best way to cut open an animal? I know we didn't have a chance to do that with this once, since Nauhir had his fill, but it could be useful later. And what about the organs and stuff?"
"We can eat some parts, some are good for crafting, but some should be thrown away. We normally dig a hole and put in what we don't need, then throw away the rest. Sometimes we cannot prepare all parts which are usefull. To cut off the leather, you should start at the head. Then pull the hide back. Cut around the legs and pull it over there. That way you get a hide bag with only minor holes, except for those of the wounds which killed the beast. The boar's hide is too damaged to get large pieces of leather from it." Arrow explains while he shows Walks how the different organs look like.

Upon waking, Tinkers stands up and walks outside. "Hmm...The sun is still pretty high. I suppose I wasn't as tired as I thought I'd be, but I'm certainly in more pain then I thought I'd be." Tinkers walks around the camp, massaging his bruises. He finds the
- 1 broken wooden cart (? g)
- 1 set of metal parts from a wheelbarrow (? g)
in the storage. The metal parts are fine, and the wooden cart only got a broken wheel. He should be able to combine those two parts to a fully functional cart. But all the wood working tools are gone, except for some nails. But he spots Wants and Thumbs close by, working on the new hut. He drags the cart parts over there and joins them.
"Can you help me with my hole? I just can't get it to be a rectangle." Thumbs asks Wants.
Walks finished his beam-hole in the ground already and helps Thumbs with his one.
"Maybe we should asks the council guy if he could sent us some better tools, if we want to get the camp back to how it once was we'll need better stuff then forgotten rusty orc tools."
"Yes, I agree. But he already left, you will have to wait a few days till the next boat arrives. He promised some help, but i think it will be only more people. The never think about tools, only manpower, weapons and armour! " Thumbs complains about the status quo.

After spotting Age and the other goblin, Flies walks over to them. Grace and Coats joins her on her way.
"Hello! I hope i'm not interrupting but I was wondering if you or the chief needed me to do anything. I was going to go scout out the forest but I thought I should ask first." Flies says cheerfully. "I would like to explore, too." Coats adds.
"Well, i already send most of the hunter out to explore, since the adventurers are most likely to-"
Without any warning, a plump and curvaceous human woman darts out of the bushes at the water averted end of the warcamp and runs into it's center. She looks hurt and desperate. Many cuts are covering her body and her clothes are blood-stained. One alarmed goblin adds an arrow to her upper leg to the list of her injuries. Due to the hit her knees give in, making her trip over her own feet. She crashes down in front of the group. She sobs and yells "Help me!". Two slim arrows stuck in her back.
The goblins can hear voiced out of the direction she came.
"She ran that way!" "Get her!" "Shutya yap! Thissis 's fast oi can run!"

Turn 51
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

"Wow..." For a moment, Cowers' fear evaporates as she looks out over her surroundings. It seemed serene. Peaceful. For whatever dangers lay within those vistas, from here, they're actually quite beautiful. Cowers finds herself taking a few moments just to admire the view. "It really is quite pretty here, isn't it?"
Then she notices the smoke (or rather, the lack thereof) and hears Bones' voice, snapping her back to her senses. She points out where the smoke is fading. "Smoke's disappearing. Looks like whoever made it just extinguished it. They're probably on their way... whoever 'they' are." Cowers continues watching for anything alive, out-of-place, and/or potentially threatening. "Do you think these people are after the same thing as those adventurers?"
"Most likely. We haven't spotted anybody coming from the east for a long time. And now it happens twice in less than a week. We got many hours left until they reach us. How about we exercise ourselves in aiming a little bit?"

Flies instantly places herself between the incoming voices and Age while drawing her spear.
"Coats stay with Age. Grace check the human for weapons."
Coats nods at Flies, who slowly walks towards the voices with her spear raised.
"Alright but if anything happens i'm coming after you..." Coats says turning to Age and the other goblins appearing in the centre of the camp, most of them armed or busy arming themselves.
" Maybe you should go inside and let us handle this..." Coats suggests to Age.
"My name is Dies of old age and I already survived a warcamp raid. I'm the one you should be least worried about." she smiles and casts something, but no effect is visible.

Upon hearing the woman's scream Wants drops the tools grabs his weapons and bag looks inside it and takes the healing potion, gives it to Tinkers.
"Sorry buddy , but we have to go, it might be advetures attacking the camp again. stay in one the huts till we get you don't open for anybody else." Wants says to Thumbs, but Thumbs doesn't care and follow him and Tinkers. Tinkers drinks the healing potion while they run some steps and disappears into the bushes where the adventurers or whatever they are cannot see him.

Grace is quick to run to the woman's aid. "Someone help me get her into the closest hut!"
Thumbs runs over to help her. "I will help you. I'm not much of a help in battles anyway."
Coats warns them " Careful, she's still human...If she becomes hostile don't wait around, finish her and join the rest of us."
Grace and Thumbs start to drag to woman away. She screams "Please help me, don't hurt me!" They put her in a hut and check her for weapons. They can't find any. As if she could read minds, the woman says. "I had only a knife and i lost it when i ran away."

Outside, the persecutors arrive. A halfling darts out of the bushes and instantly screams "Goblins!" while firing an arrow at the group. Being shot in a rush, the arrow starts to trundle on its way and bounce off of Coats armour without doing any harm. An elf with a long sword and leather armour joins the halfling, followed by a large human wearing a robe and a staff.
"Cumin...huff huff!" a dwarf follows them, out of breath. He is wearing a scale leather armour, a little metal shield and a one handed axe.

Wants wants to attack all attackers and charges. The large human casts something, which sends three glowing colourful spheres flying at Wants. Wants is being confused and blinded by all the light and colours and runs straight into the open doors of a hut. The group hears a crashing sound.

"This is the last warning!" the large human shouts, speaking perfect goblin. "We perambulate this lands for a time now to acquire the artefact once owned by the erudite orcs of the lake. This lake. Hand it over, and we might spare your negligible lives! More of us are to come, so don't oppose us."

Grace uses some of the bandages to bind her wounds to stop the bleeding, while asking her "Who are you, and why are you being chased? And most importantly, who is chasing you! By coming here you've endangered our camp, so you better tell me now what you know!"
"I'm sorry, I only wanted to reach the river. Didn't know you life here. It's a group of mercenaries working for those cultists from Westengaard. I'm only a herbalist and I wanted to collect some herbs at the cave west of here. They interrogated and intimidated me just for being here. Like if knew for what they are searching for..." she explains desperately and faints. Grace is done with bandaging her, only the two arrows in the back and one in the leg remain.

WalksBriskly continues to learn how to skin and prepare an animal, occasionally giving Nauhir choice bits that they can't use.
"You should only feed to him what can eat yourself without vomitting." Arrow tells Walks when Nauhir gives a sniff at a gall bladder Walks handed to him.
Then Arrow continues explaining how to dissect the animal. Carefully he removes four sinews and hands them to Stabs.

Battle:
Tinkers is healed up to 4/5 hp.
Wants is confused for 1 turn.

Turn 52
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

"Ohh, Crap...Something big is happening at home...I think anyway. Do you guys want to come help?" WalksBriskly asks as he jumps up and grabs his stuff. Stabs and Friendly join him, while Arrow has to to prepare the meat so it doesn't get spoiled. Running fast, they reach H6 this turn.

Grace will leave the human woman for now. There are more urgent matters now. She was a herbalist though. Grace is pretty excited by that. She's still a human, and cannot yet be trusted, though she seems to be telling the truth. For now, she holds her fire and whispers: "Maglubiyet, grant us strength of body and mind in this time of need!"
A hunter goblin joins the group without saying a word.

"You think you can enter our village, attack our people, threaten our lives and get away with it!" Flies says angrily, but Age stops her and walks forward slowly, her arms fold on her back.
Coats moves forward casually flipping his sword around in his hands. He has eyes only for the dwarf and that nice shield and armor. " Dips.." He says a small smile crossing his face.
"Stay calm..." Age commands. "Human! Tell me what the artefact looks like! We got more than one." Age asks but it sounds more like if she wants to buy some time than actually.
"If you don't know how such a powerful artefact looks like, then you obvious-"
Behind her back Age clenches one hand to a fist. It does not even a second take Flies and the hunter to understand that command. An arrow and a javelin are send towards the humand instantly.
The dwarf darts in front of the human and intercepts the javelin with his shield. But the javelin pierces through the thin metal and penetrates the arm of the dwarf who starts to swear. The arrow doesn't score it's target, too.
The elfin warrior charges at Flies, his sword risen for a downward strike, while she is busy reading the spear again. But Grace helps her by sending an arrow at the elf. He dodges the arrow but fumbles the attack. He crashes into Flies, knocking the air out of her lungs. Age jumps forward and hits the elf on his head with her staff. Both, the elf and Flies get minor damage. The elf tries to hit Age's legs, but she jumps back.
Tinkes can't attack the human, since the dwarf protects him.
Coats charges towards the dwarf, who is distracted by the javelin. But the dwarf is quick and blocks of Coats attack with the shield. The human casts a spell on Coats, making him feel frightened for a moment, but he able to shake of the spell effect.
The halfling raises his bow and shoots an arrow at Coats at point-blank range, dealing two damage to Coats. But the halfling has no reason to be happy about that, since Tinkers appears behind him and kills him at once by shoving both daggers into his exposed back.
Tinkers notices something rustling in the bushes to his right at the brim of the forest.

Wants stumbles out of the hut, still very confused. But he regains his vision and notices what is going on. Flies and the elf lie in front of him, wrestling.
Another hunter and a gardener appear out of the storage, but the hunter gets hit by an arrow, but nobody can see where it came from. The gardener drags him behind the hut Grace, Thumbs and the woman are in. Then he runs off towards chief Appears hut.

Cowers turns to Bones. "Okay, sure. What do I have to do?" "Well, first you have to stop shivering when the battle starts. Second, release your breath before you shoot, and hold it. That way you will wobble less."

Coats is on 4/6 now

Turn 53
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Tinkers will go back into the bushes from where he came, and circle around in the forest's edge to try and flank whatever was rustling in the bushes.

Flies tries to grapple the elf and hold him down while shouting "Wants stab him in the neck!"
Before Wants can attack him, the elf frees himself since he is much larger and stronger. He kicks Flies in her belly (dealing one damage) and parriesWants attack. The elf tries to counter attack, but doesn't score a hit either. But the elf has to back up a few steps.
Age, who stands behind Wants, can't attack. An arrow flies at her from somewhere, but it bursts into splinters just before hitting her.

Grace dashes to the hut on the other side where the elf is currently. She'll stay away from that though. She runs behind the hut and fires an arrow at the human who probably has his focus elsewhere. "Mags, help me smite this pest upon our village!" she sais wishing for protection for everybode who needs it.
Meanwhile, Thumbs drags the hurt hunter into the hut in which he and the incapacitated woman.
Grace aims at the human and shoots, while he shoots on the hunter close to Age who shoots on the elf. What a shooting spree!
Grace hits the human right into his chest, but he doesn't seem to care about the wound. She wonders if it did any damage. The hunter does hit the elf in his hip, dealing some damage. Then the spell of the human hits the hunter. Two purple balls are hitting him very fast. He falls down and convulses while screaming, then he faints.

Coats pushes the attack on the dwarf, sadden by the fact that the shield got a hole now, but still the dwarf has got that nice armour. He circles the dwarf if the human tries to attack him keeping the dwarf between him and the human.
" Alright...." Coats says grinning at the dwarf "Nice axe...I want it..." "As if a goblin could get my fathers-" the dwarf starts when Coats brings his sword in a loop trying to cut the dwarfs head off. The dwarf raises the shield, but not fast and high enough. Coats attack is to strong so the shield makes the sword only slip upwards and cut into the ear and cheekbone of the dwarf and cutting off a braid of his hair, dealing medium damage.
"YOU CUT OFF MY HAIR! NOW YOU ARE DEAD!"
The dwarf swings his axe at Coats hip but Coats evades it. The human turns to Coats and says "Reduce person!" Coats feels a tickling effect rush through his body, then he shrinks back to his old size and regains his old colour. His equipment scales along with his decreased size. A grim grin appears in the bloodsoaken beard of the dwarf. "Oi, much better, thanks!"

Tinkers closes up on the person rustling in the bushes from behind. It seems to be a small person, either a halfling or another dwarf. He cannot tell yet, to much leaves are in the way. The person releases an arrow, and suddenly looks into Tinkers direction. Tinkers thinks he spooked the person, since it is running southwards. He starts to chase after it.
After some meters he is attacked by a dog jumping at him. The dog bites into his arm, dealing him one damage. He manages to shove one of his daggers into the dog, dealing medium damage. The dog shakes his head and does not want to let go of Tinkers.

Coats gets hit by the halfling's arrow at his shoulder, but causing only a minor scratch. The arrow hits the dwarf instead but has not any effect because of the chainmail.

Walks, Nauhir and the two hunters appear at the northern border of the forest. No target there to throw a javelin at.

The gardener who run towards chief Appears hut reaches him and already alarmed three other goblins.

"Stop shivering? Sure, start me with something impossible, why don't you?" Cowers says, having a light-hearted chuckle at herself. This turns into a gasp when she feels the others' distress. "Something's wrong, back at camp. I can feel it." She says, alarmed and grim. "I'm... I'm not sure what. Do you think they're under attack?"
"If they are, they will deal with it itself. It is a whole warcamp and we are only two who could not get over there in time anyway. So we just keep doing our job, which is to have an eye open over this place. I will prepare a target for us, give me some minutes and keep your eyes open." Bones leaves the tower again and enters the storage shed in the center of the orc town.
After a few minutes, Cowers can see him open the hatch on the roof. He gets some old hay bails on the roof, then an empty crate. He puts the hay into the crate and turns it so the open side points at the watch tower. Then he is gone again for some minutes until he rejoins Cowers on the watchtower platform. "Well, now try to aim. But don't shoot yet."

Battle:
Flies is on 3/5 now.
Tinkers is on 3/5 now.
Coats is back to normal goblin size for now.

Anti-confusion-information:
In case you think you already lost two hunters when you look at the map:
- red X over sombody: zero hp or fainted out.
- black X over somebody: dead
@Jacon: one javelin hole does not ruin the whole shield. ;)

Turn 54
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Flies grabs her spear. "That was quite foolish of you to charge the three of us on your own. Lets see if you have the skill to back up your bravery!"
She smiles as she lunges forwards with her spear. The elf still points his sword at Wants and tries to back up, but his sword can't mess with the range of the spear, and before he can raise it far enough to parry, Flies trusts the spear hard into the middle of his lower torso. But he still manages to at least cut Flies side before Wants reaches him, too, dealing one damage. "Hey elf !What did my sword say to your internal organs?"
A full-lunged cry shows how painful that hit is.
"Stab!" Wants says jokingly while he stabs the elf in his guts, too. The elf's limbs flag and he falls down on his back.

"Maglubiyet has no mercy on elves." Grace continues around the hut to sink an arrow into the elf from behind, but he is already knocked out. She immediately turns to the hunter goblin which caught the magic missile spell, dragging him into the hut in which Thumbs is. "No goblin must die today..." she says while Thumbs closes the door since he sees the human advance on them. "Damn, the mage is comming, be quiet!" he warns the others. Grace bandages the two hurt hunters with her last 2 bandages.

"Dolbir, dispose of this one, I will help Arnlirr!" the human commands the dwarf. He steps forwards and shouts "SLEEP!".
Flies and Wants collapse and come to rest on the elf. All three of them are now in a deep sleep. Age fights against the spell for a few seconds, but then she falls down, too. The human walks to them, but kind of ignores the sleepers, even the elf.

Coats seems unimpressed by the humans spell, it fact he just seems to get more confident as he tries to bring a whirlwind of sword attacks down on the dwarfs head.
"I'm gonna personally scalp you dwarf and put your head on a spike." He says he's grin fading being replaced by a deadly look of utter concentration. But the dwarf grins too, saying "Bring it on, Goblin!"
They throw strikes at each other, but none of both can deal any real damage to each other. Coats deals minor damage and receives one damage. Then Coats is hit from behind again by an arrow, receiving another damage.

Tinkers kills the dog with his dagger, freeing his arm with the black dagger. He tries to resume the chase of the fleeing enemy, but he only remembers in which reason he went, but he cannot hear anything. He follows his trace of broken twigs and removed leaves until he reaches the brim of the bushes. Open grass is in front of him, more bushes and trees behind it.

"Right, let's get this started!" WalksBriskly shout as they rush towards the sounds of combat.
They arrive in the center of the village right when chief Appears runs out of his hut, accompanied by a gardener. "Goblins, to battle!" he yells, wielding two swords. Two more gardeners are running to the storage to pick up some weapons, while a fisherman joins them who is carrying a net.
When Walks sees the human in the distance, he shouts "Nauhir! Sick'em!"
Nauhir runs ahead of them, but he does not reach the human yet.

Trying desperately to ignore the distress of her comrades back at camp, Cowers takes aim at the target as per Bones' instruction. "Ok, good, now you are calm enough. But don't have your arm straight, angle it a little bit. And put the elbow up so the whole arm is on one level. Yes, that's better."

Battle:
Coats is down to 2/6
Flies is down to 2/5

Items:
Grace is out of bandages now.

Anti-confusion-information:
The red arc marks where the arrow which hit Coats came from.
I added another marker color for people who are knocked out:
- blue X: fainted out/ sleeping.
- red X: zero hp or less.
- black X: dead
- green X: bandaged up, stabilized. Hp won't get lower.
@Jacon: The human cast the spell, helping the dwarf, not the dwarf himself.

Turn 55
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Well that Flies, Age and Wants out of the fight. Wants enjoys a nice little nap and tries not to drool on Flies. Thats no problem, since she lies on his back. He drools on the elf instead.
He dreams of beautiful mud-honey covered goblin girls wearing the saves of armour
if he wakes up somehow he will finish of the elf.

Coats ignores the growing agony in his back and sides as he continues his vicious attack against the dwarf trying to pierce the dwarf's heart. But that doesn't work, since the dwarf got too much armor with all the chainmail and the shield. On the other hand, Coats is much faster than the dwarf so he can evade most of what the dwarf throws at him. This leads again to a standoff and none of both doing much damage to the other one. Looks like he needs another plan.
He hopes Tinkers can stop the archer from shooting him again. He tries to asses how hurt the dwarf is. The dwarf looks as beaten up as Coats, but has much better armor. Another arrow flying by shows Coats that Tinkers did not get rid of the archer yet.

Tinkers runs full tilt into the bushes ahead of him. He is not attacked, but finds a trail of broken twigs and ripped off leaves. He follows them. After a few meters, he sees an halfling archer climb into a tree. He is already too high up to sneak attack him, and Tinkers is sure he won't be able to sneak-climb.

Grace opens the door slightly, and looks around, but the angle the door opens doesn't allow her to see Age, Flies and Wants. She awaits the humans action and readies an arrow to fire, when she sees Walks, Appears and the other hunters. It seems as if they will aid them."Thanks Mags! Right on time." She will wait until when the reinforcements pushes past her hut to fire, but the human passes it first. He runs to the treasure chest.
"Get'em Nauhir!" WalksBriskly yells.
The human shouts "Darkness!"
A large halfsphere of darkness evolves around the chest, about 10 meters in diameter. Nauhir doesn't care and charge right into it, while the goblins stop when Appears orders them to. "Wait!"
Walks does not throw his javelin, since it may as well hit Nauhir.
A second later, the human adds "Grease, Knock!"
Grace can see Nauhir skid out of her side of the darkness. Seems he has problems to get some grip on the bottom. His legs shimmer like being covered in oil. He howls angrily and tries to get on his legs again, but falls down every time.
"Throw it!" Appears orders the fisherman with the net. He sends the net flying into the darkness. They can hear the human whisper something, but they see no effect. Weapons ready, they position around the darkness. The two hunters both shoot an arrow into the darkness, but no reaction.

Grace says to Thumbs: "Are you okay looking after them?" She nods towards the hunters and the human lady. "Shure." Thums answers.
"In that case, I need to get Age out of the battlefield." She runs behind the human to grab Age firstly and drag her into the closest hut, closing the door a little bit.

Cowers spares a glance back toward the warcamp before continuing to follow Bones' instruction. "I wonder what that artefact is... and why everyone wants it so badly."
"Blimey, girl! You really need to concentrate! Again, go back into shooting stance."
He keeps muttering "Just when you managed it for the first time, your thought drift away. Elbow up!"

Age awakes beside Grace "I'm fine, help them!" she orders. Outside of the hut, Walks awakes, being sandwiches between the elf below him and Flies on top of him. He is still to dizzy to free himself.

Battle:
Walks is awake again.

Cowers continues working on her aim. Bones instructs her until she is in shooting stance again. "Ok, now try to hit the hay inside the crate." Cower concentrates, shoots and hits. "Very good. Try it again!"

Wants gets up an takes a look around. He sees Coats fight the dwarf and runs to his aid. Flies and the elf still are asleep.
Coats errs on the side of caution. Now that the party is split up he has no doubts that they'll be killed by the numbers of the goblins. He just has to wait this dwarf out for as long as he can till the goblins can help him. He works more on staying out of the dwarfs reach and keeping him distracted than attacking though he will make a few cautionary swipes in an attempt to damage the dwarf, but mostly he just wants to stay out of the reach of the dwarves axe. He hits him a few times, but nothing bypasses the dwarf's armor.
"Hey it looks like you could use a little bit of help!" Wants shouts and comes running towards the dwarf.

Walks sidles along the side of the darkness towards Nauhir. He cannot see a trace of the mage. He would like to throw a javelin at the dwarf, but it looks like Wants took already care of that. So instead he uses his spear to kill the elf, who just awoke and tried to bring his sword into a position to stab Flies, wo still lies on top of him. Grace comes running with an arrow ready, but without any target, she tries to wake up Flies. "Flies get up. Get up!" since there is no response she grabs Flies by her shoulders and shakes her. "I said get up!"
But Flies stays asleep.

Coats sidesteps around the dwarf so that the dwarf gives him some cover from the archer. Then he spits into the dwarf's face. He can see the dwarf's face Turn red in anger. "AHHHHHHH!" Suddenly, the dwarf throws his axe at Coats. It hits Coats right in his chest, sending him flying on his back and dealing him three damage. Coats stops moving and is knocked out. The dwarf steps forward, puts a foot on Coats chest and rips out his axe. It is a serious wound and it is bleeding.
Just in this moment, the reduce person spell wears off. Coats grows back to his old size, but his color stays as dark as he was before Age gave him the old healing potion which made him grow.
Wants charges at the dwarf's back but sees not much targets not covered in chainmail. One is the dwarf's head, far too high to hit in a charge attack, the other one are his hands, currently on the side of the dwarf he can't reach, so it is only his feet which are only covered in leather boots. Seeing this, Wants takes a swing at the dwarf's feet, cutting deep into on of them, nearly cutting it off. The dwarf screams and can't hold his balance. He falls down and rolls over so he can face Wants. He lifts his axe again to throw it at Wants, but it seems he got not enough strength left with all the blood running out of his wounds.
"Bring it to and end, vermin!" he shouts and spits a mix of spit and blood at Wants.
Another arrow comes out of nowhere and hits Wants in his left arm, dealing one damage.

The darkness ends, and the group around Appears sees that the net hit the opened treasure chest. The mage seems to be gone. Where is he?
"Spread out, groups of two or more!" Appears orders the goblins. The run in different directions and try to find a trace of the mage. The got not time to check what he took out of the chest, capturing is more important right now.

Suddenly, there is a scream coming out of the hut Thumbs, the hunters and the human woman are in. Grace and Walks are close enough to hear it.

Tinkers runs towards the tree begins climbing. But the halfling is climbing fast, and then Tinkers can see another person in the tree. It looks like a female elf with a long bow, aiming nord. Maybe that is where all the arrows hitting Coats and Wants are coming from. Tinkers manages to stab the halfling into his foot with the black dagger, but then the halfling kicks down Tinkers. Tinkers recieves one falling damage. "Nairah, help me i am blind!" he can hear the halfling yell above. "Shut up, airhead, you will attract more of them! Why you even climb on my hiding location!" Tinkers sees that the elf readies another arrow, targeting at him.

The human mage, seeing that chief Appears and a hunter are running in his direction and attacking thin air, is afraid they might hit him soon although he is invisible. So he makes a daring effort to escape. Standing on the jetty, he shouts something with "fire". He spreads fire wherever his feet touch the wood, leaving a wall of flames behind himself. The hunter tries to shoot at him, but he does not hit through all the fire.
"Goblins to me!" the chief shouts. "Fire, bring water and buckets!"

Battle:
Coats is at -1 (bleeding) now
Coats is back to medium size and #400000
Wants is at 4/5 now
Tinkers is at 2/5 now

Anti-Confusion-Information:
Like in the comic you don't die before you reach -10. But starting with 0 hp, many negative effects might appear light: being knocked out, being immobile, bleeding, depending on the situation. If you are still conscious and bleeding, you can try to stabilize yourself. If not, others will have to come to your aid.

Turn 57
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Tinkers scrambles to put the trunk of the tree between himself and the archer. He mutters to himself, "Hmm...Seems I'll have to-" *Takes a deep breath* "-ARCHERS OVER HERE! NEED HELP!"
He rolls to the side, just in the moment an arrow comes flying. It only hit's a patch of empty tinkers-less grass. He picks himself up and crawls behind the trunk. For now, the archer can't shoot him anymore.
"I'm blind..." Tinkers can hear the halfling whisper above.

When Flies wakes up, the first she hears is Tinker's shout. She jumps up, grabs her weapon and runs towards the trees to help him with the archers.

"Nauhir! Get the dwarf!" WalksBriskly shouts as he rushes towards the hut full of injured people.
"Have fun in hell bustard!" Wants says as he finishes off the dwarf. When Nauhir reaches the dwarf he is already dead. Then Wants starts to search his body, for any healing potions or items that might aid them in battle, but he cannot find anything except the armor and clothes the dwarf is wearin and his weapon. Seems he left the rest of his equipment somewhere else. Wants grabs the shield and places it next to Coats, to make sure no arrows might hit him. Then he starts to look around in his bag for some bandages. He finds three of them and uses one to start binding Coats. Grace comes running.
"Walks, quick, check out Thumbs' hut! I will help Coats!" Grace runs for all she's worth. Since Walks already has bandages, she has no need to run to the storage. She takes over binding Coats wounds while Walks goes to the hut she pointed at.
"Oh my, he's bleeding heavily. Coats hang in there! I'll help you!" she binds up half of the severe wounds. Still some work to do, he is still bleeding.

Walks stands in front of the door at the hut in which Thumbs and the injured people are.
Wants joins him and they listen at the nearly shut door of the hut for a second. They can hear somebody whisper.
"You are next, human. Betraying your own race by taking cover in our enemies camp!"
Wants rips open the door at once, while Walks charges in with his spear. A halfling stand in front of the human woman who is awake again, a dagger in his hand. Thumbs lies on the floor, bleeding.
The halfling turns around abruptly, but then the spear is already upon him, entering the left side of his torso and nailing him at the wall close to the human woman, dealing heavy damage. He tries to cut into Walks fingers, but he cannot reach them.
"Just in time..." the human woman says. She looks very frightened, but her voice is as calm as Tinker's is most of the time.

On the hut on the opposite side, Age awakes too. Slowly she walks to the door, still having jelly legs.

At the bank of the lake the other goblins come running towards chief Appears. Two are running to get buckets from the storage and the tellers hut.
Chief Appears and the hunter shooting arrows along the jetty through the flames. One hits the mage in his back when he reaches the end of the jetty. He casts something, jumps down and starts to run on the water surface, away from the jetty. A nasty grin shows up on his face. Suddenly the water below him bursts and a red hand grabs for his leg. "Burning han-!" he shouts and disapears in the water, a pillar of steam shooting into the sky from a spot of brewing water. Then the water becomes quiet and the wall of flames on the jetty fades of. Only burning footsteps remain.

Cowers spares another glance at the camp, before aiming and firing another arrow into the target. Again, she hits the inside of the crate. She feels much more self confident about shooting now. "Good job. Now do it ag-WAIT!" Bones points out to the roof the crate is on. "What is that!" Cowers can see a human woman climb out of the hatch and look around. It is the same woman she shot down from the very same roof. The woman climbs out and goes to where her she once sat to shoot at the goblins. She keeps looking around, her face showing anger. Then she finds the crate with the hay. She checks upon it and takes out one of the arrows. All of a sudden, she jerks her head around and stars at the watchtower. Bones maybe saw that coming, since Cowers and he already are lying flat on the floor, hidden by the crenellated battlement, without Cowers doing anything, not even think about it. That old goblins is very fast for his age Cowers thinks impressed. "Check on her, but be carefully. Only show as much of your head as you need to watch her. If she spotted us, we have to shoot her and run for the boat. Blimey, how could she be so fast when they were so far way? Maybe a mounted scout? I'll prepare our stuff. If you get the impression she spotted us, don't hesitate to shoot her!"
Bones crawls to the hatch and climbs down.

Battle:
Coats is down to -2/5 now (bleeding).
Flies is awake again.
Age is awake again.

Traits:
Walks: Spear mastery 1 (+1 ATK with spearlike weapons)
Cowers: Marksman 1 (+2 ATK with ranged projectile weapons)

Turn 58
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Grace looks around to get a hold of the situation. Flies runs to help Tinkers. Walks and Wants are at Thumbs' hut. Appears and the hunters are on the far side of the camp. The human probably went there, but there's fire in the camp. No one is alone, good. Oh, Age is up! "Age! Come quick! I need help with Coats." Grace yells.

Flies keeps running very silently to help Tinkers.

Hoping someone heard his shouts, Tinkers hopes he can talk his way out of another situation,
"Hmm...Adventurers! Surrender now! My brethren and I will soon have you surrounded. If you lay down your weapons and give yourselves up, my chief may be merciful. Our healer might even be willing to return sight to the hafling. If you wish to continue fighting in order to secure this artifact your companions mentioned, know this: We do not have whatever you are seeking. We don't even know what the artifact is. But if it means keeping adventurers out of our lands, we might even be willing to assist you in finding it. However; all of this hinges on whether or not you give yourselves up peacefully. What say you?"
"Liar, my sight returns slowly!" the formerly blinded halfling shouts.
Tinkers tries to keep the trunk in between him and the archer, but he does not succeed. The elf woman jump from branch to branch and shots another arrow at him. The arrow enters his upper leg and rips through his muscles, scratching along the bone until being stopped by his knee joint. He screams in pain and faints, sliding down along the trunk slowly. He is at -1 but at least the arrow did not lacerate any major blood vessels.

Then the elf thuds onto the ground right next to Tinkers, a javelin sticking in her back. Her body twitches a few times, then she lies still and dead. Without any warning, Flies did throw her javelin at the elf, seconds after she shot at Tinkers. Seems all the talking was at least good for concealing Flies approach.
"Nairah!" the halfling shouts deperatly.

"You had better start talking." WalksBriskly says as he holds the halfling pinned with the spear and gets a javelin ready. "We've killed most of your party and still have most of the warcamp. You don't stand a chance. Give up and we may permit you your life. Unlikely, seeing you stormed in here and started threatening us, but still possible. What's much more possible is you refusing and sending this javelin to go party with the one already in your gut. So drop the weapon or I kill you. What will it be?"
Since letting the halfling talk is a far better idea, then killing him
wants wants to ask Thumbs if he needs any help with the wounded, but when he enters the hut he sees that Thumbs lies on the floor, bleeding from a fresh wound. Some bandages are lying around on the floor.
"Let me think about this..." the halfling answers, breathing heavily.
"Walks, you can handle it here on your own right?" Wants asks, already turning away.
"I know my answer now!" the halfling whispers "I'd rather kill YOU!" All of a sudden the person pinned at the wall with the spear vanishes like a cloud of smoke. The halfling stands right behind Walks and was never pinned to the wall. "Don't try to trick a trickster!" he says. Wants did not notice what happened behind him.
"I'm going to look if somebody-ouch!" Walks spins around, but too late. The halfling did already stab Walks into the side and Wants into the back, dealing two damage to each of them. He grins smugly, even when Thumbs knife enters his head deep at the temple and kills him instantly. But Thumbs is still lying on the ground, bleeding. It is the human woman who grabbed it and stabbed the halfling. "I hate those little buggers!" she says calmly and smiling. Walks did not even see when she picked up the knife. For a moment it looks like she has four eyes, but it's hard to tell with her long hair pending in front of her face, casting most of her face into shadow except for a small vertical strip where her nose is.
"You're alright?" she asks Wants and Walks.

Age hurries to help Grace, but Grace was nearly done with binding up Coats, so it is not much left to do for her. She adds some healing ointment to the bandages and finishes what Wants and Grace started. "That should fix the bleeding." she says after a few seconds. Grace noticed that she did instinctively the right things. "There are archers by the trees where Flies is. Something is in that hut and the human mage is running. He looted our poorly locked chest!"
"What?" Age says in disbelieve and surprise. Age stands up and tries to get an overview. Flies seems to be alright in the south. Somebody running is no big threat, so she decides to go to the hut at which Grace nodded. "Takes his feat!" she says, pointing on Coats. "We cannot let him lie here if we don't know if more of them are around." They start to carry Coats to the hut which kind of became the hospital of the camp. Nauhir follows them.

"You again? 'Nina', was it?" Cowers whispers, nocking another arrow. "Maybe next time, you won't just leave your pack and headgear lying around. Heh... oh Maglubiyet, I am so dead." Cowers whimpers. She glances at Bones quickly. "She's definitely got a mount. She was the adventurer that got away the last time I was here." Cowers says to Bones. "And she probably remembers me shooting her in the leg and knocking her off the roof of the barn... and probably recognizes the arrows in the target..." She adds with a moan.

Cowers peeks over the edge of the battlement, trying to watch Nina without being spotted.
Nina is still standing there and watching the tower. Nina got a bow in her hand, but no arrow ready. She is standing behind the crate now, which covers her from her waist down. No chance to shot at her leg this time. Cowers is not shure if Nina saw her until-
"YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Nina roars, sending the birds in the closest part of the forrest flying.
Well, seems like she spotted Cowers. A calm "Do it!" from Bones follows up on Ninas roar.
Cowers pops up, an arrow ready. She releases her breath and aims at Nina, while Nina readies an arrow, too.
While Cowers arrow is already on it's way, Nina sends her's flying, too. It hit's Cowers, but only penetrates her ear close at the outer edge. It is not even very painful and does only one damage. In other circumstances, it could even be funny. Cowers arrow on the other hand strikes home, hitting Nina's left arm which is the one holding the bow. Since she cannot shot anymore, she cowers behind the crate. Like a turtle, the crate moves slowly towards the latch. Seems Nina learned her lesson. Since Cower won the duel and has no chance to finish Nina of, she climbs down to Bones. He throws her backpack towards her and commands "Get running, girl." and runs ahead, down the spiral staircase. "Good shot by the way." he adds after a few steps.

Battle:
Tinkers is down to -1/5 and unconscious. (stable, NOT bleeding).
Walks is down to 2/5 now.
Wants is down to 2/5 now.
Cowers is down to 4/5 now.

Traits:
Flies: Spear mastery 1 (+1 ATK with spearlike weapons).

Skills:
Grace: First aid 1 (stop bleeding when binding somebody on first try).

Anti-confusion-information:
@Jrlans: you diced a 2, the elf a 17. :/
@Ziprath: very lucky dices. You did not only hit, you did the max damage for your weapon which happens to be the exact hp of a level 1 elf.
@Jacon: Did you not post because Coats is unconscious or did you not have time?
@Nioca: Sniper duel! Nina rolled just enough to hit Cowers, while Cowers rolled a natural 18.

Turn 59
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Cowers grabs the partially-sharpened sword on her way out. "Thanks. Now I just need to learn how to do it without getting shot... ow." Cowers says, pulling out the arrow sticking in her ear. She wipes it off and puts it into her quiver. She follows Bones and after a few seconds the are at the lower end of the tower. No trace of anybody else, so they start heading towards the boat.

The halfling still cannot see good enough to notice how many enemies are around her and what exactly happened to the elf. She squints her eyes and tries to blink away the remaining effect of the black dagger. Well, it works, but only to see a javelin flying straight in her face. Not a nice last view before you die. With another thudding sound, she crashes onto the grass right next to the elf and the unconscious Tinkers.

"I could be better. Many Thanks." WalksBriskly says as he checks Thumbs and starts to bind his wounds. "Why were these people attacking you. No offense, but you're still a human, so we can't exactly trust you right off the bat. Killing the Halfling helped though."
"Well, it seems i happened to be where they thought I should not be. Even if I lived there. Seems they take everybody living close enough to a race which tends to be hostile to humans, elves, halflings and dwarves gets infected by their malignity. They learned fast that I did not knew much about what they are looking for or you camp - except for its position - so they just slapped me for living close to you. Like I said, I collect herbs, dry them and sell them twice a year in Rivulet, a small human outpost in the south. I also specialised on fungi. By the way, my name is Divya. That is a fey name, not elfish. What you want to do with me now?" Divya asks.

Grace and Age carry Coats into the hut Walks, Wants, Thumbs and the human woman are in, and put him onto the ground. Since it is already pretty crowded in the hut, Nauhir decides to stay outside.
"Wow, nice move!" Wants says to Divya "Never knew humans were that fast." "You get pretty fast when you are living deep in the forest all on your own." she says and smiles whimsically.
Wants ransacks the corpse of the dead halfling. Everything becomes loot for Wants except for the halfling's underpants.
"Just what we need!" Age says. She takes one bandage and hands it to Grace who then starts running to where tinkers shouted about archers. If HE screams, he's probably in trouble. She picks up the dwarfs shield on her way there.
Then Age takes the healing potion Wants just took from the halfling out of his hands, and gives a little of it to Coats, Thumbs and both the Hunters before handing it back. Only a third of it remains. Wants stuffs it into his backpack and says "I'm going to look if anybody needs help, I'll be right back." He walks outside and follows Grace to Flies and Tinkers.
Coats and Thumbs awake. Thumbs sits up straight very fast and yells "Rouge!" and adds "oh..." when he sees the halfling corpse, while Coats mutters about what happened and how he got here and why he is lying on the ground. The two hunters stay asleep.

At the jetty, the chief and his men are busy fighting the fire of the mage.

Battle:
Coats is back on 1/6 hp.
Tinkers is down on -2/5 hp.
Thumbs and the two Hunters are back on 1/5 hp.

Turn 60
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Cowers continues running to the boat, still keeping a wary eye out for potential attackers.
They reach the southend of the orc town and walk west, towards the lakeside where the boat
has been hidden. Suddenly Bones stops Cowers with his arm, saying nothing and pressing her against the wall, right behind him. He pulls his knife and waits close to the corner of the house. A moment later a human walks by. Before he can even notice them, Bones already pushed his knife into the humans back while holding his mouth shut. The human keeps strugling for a few seconds, then his body becomes limb and Bones drags him behind the corner into a bush. He empties the humans pockets, hands a few items to Cowers, and then they hurry to the boat. Cowers climbs in, while Bones unties the rope. When Cowers wants to grab the oar, Bones shakes his head and signalizes her to use her hand to row for now.
After they brought some distance between themselves and the lakeside, Bones whispers "Ok, now we are far enough. Hinge the oars, i will row, you will take your bow and keep an eye open on the lakeside!"
Cowers can see humans walking around in the city, searching for something. But nobody noticed them yet. Then there is a commotion where Bones hid the human he killed, and she sees fingers pointing at their boat. But they are already out of shooting range.

"Hmm...Nauhir, let's go finish killing that mage." WalksBriskly says, pointing towards the commotion at the jetty with his spear and rushing off towards it. Nauhir runs alongside.

After making sure that Tinkers is still alive, Flies checks the elf and halfling for healing potions with a small smile on her face. She finds three small potion phials in the halfling's pocket, which are ... all broken. There even is a scroll, but the ink bled deliquescent from the potions, making it unreadable. With a sigh, she continues to search the elf's corpse. She is lucky and finds a medium healing potion. More than enough for Tinkers. She uncorks it and pours enough of it down Tinkers throat to heal him back to full health.
"I knew it was going to be a good day today, for me anyway." she says, drinking herself to full health, too. Half of the potion remains, worth ten hp.

When Grace shows up Flies says, the potion still in her hand "Don't worry we took care of them but Tinkers was injured. Is the camp okay?"
"I think we're fine. The mage looted our chest and ran. But the other adventurers are dead."
Grace takes a look at Tinkers. His clothes are full of blood, but he seems to be fine and thanks Flies calmly, even happy when he sees the dead halfling and elf. Flies retrieves the two javelins sticking in the corpses right beside her.
Tinkers starts looting the halfling archeress, putting the items into his backpack.

Wants changed his mind and heads for the dead dwarf, halfling and elf and starts looting them, putting everything he can find on a loot pile in front of the first hut in the southwest of the warcamp, including the loot from the halfling rouge he put in his backpack before. Coats gets up and winces as the agony of his wounds are refreshed. Sighing he stumbles over to Wants to help loot the dwarf keeping his eye on the shield and armor.
The elf is the first one Wants finds and loots. In his looting spree he accidently even loots the elf's underpants, but puts them back on him after an awkward moment of silence. Then he walks over to the dwarf, which is just being stripped of his armor by Coats. But no trace of the metal shield. So Wants takes the wooden shield from the elf for now. They add their loot to the pile Wants started. Wants keeps the leftovers of the healing potion Age handed back to him, while Coats puts on the scale mail armor after he cleaned it from the dwarf's blood, putting his holey leather armor onto the stack instead. Everything else from the adventurers goes onto the pile for now.

When Walks reaches the jetty, the others are nearly finished fighting the fire. Walks cannot find trace of the mage. But he noticed a disturbance in the water beside the jetty. A red head pops up from the water, gasping for breath. It is Poor! A few moments later, something else emerges from underwater. It looks like a bunch of cloth on first sight. Chief Appears and his men notice it. While he orders his men to continue fighting the fire, the chief drops his weapons on the jetty and jumps into the water to help Poor. After he made shure that Poor can swim on his own, they grab the thing drifting beside them and start to swim the remaining short distance to the lakeside. When they reach the sand, Poor lies down on his back, while the chief pulls out the bunch of clothes. Suddenly, he looks very surprised. "Did you...?" he asks Poor. "Fire. You kill it with water. Same goes for firemages, especially if they are stupid enough to spend their last breath for another spell instead of holding it. Even if that spell hurt. Good the water took away most of it's power."
Walks and Appears notice a burn mark in form of a hand right on Poors chest. "Well, thats what I call a awesome battle scar. Good job, Poor! We were hunting down this bastard with half of the camp and he still would have escaped without you."

"Awesome Job, Poor!" WalksBiskly says as he holds out his hand to help the goblins up when he's done resting. "Great work!" "Thanks".
Walks starts looting the mage. Some of the items are wet, but most of them are still fine, since the mage had no real contact with the battle except for one single arrow until Poor drowned him. Walks grabs them and takes them to the loot pile. Nauhir helps him by picking the mage's staff up with his mouth and following Walks.

Flies heads back to the village to asks Age if their is anything she can do to help.
"Good to see you're both well now!" Grace smiles at her fellow kin.
"Hmm...Good to see you're well as well. Excuse me for a moment." Tinkers walks over into the bushes and puts the stained leather armour on under his sneaky clothes.
"Let's gather back in camp!" Grace grabs the shield and walks back to the center of the camp together with Flies and Tinkers. When she hears the good new of the adventurers being all dead, she puts the shield on top of the loot pile before approaching Thumb's hut where Age, Divya and Thumbs are still in.

Flies checks the sky for birds. Now, after the battle is over most birds flushed by the shouting flew back to their nests or wherever the sat before. Not much of them are in the sky. Flies can see some hawks, which she has been named after, but they do not seem to care for her. assigns her to a messenger errand. "Get Grace here, I will show her how to brew that healing salve. We got many people hurt and with the treat not being over and me only being able to be at one location at a time, we need somebody else to take care of wounded people." after a second, she adds "Oh, and tell her to bring the herbs she collected the day before yesterday, too. - oh never mind, there she is." Age says just when Grace joins them. "Grace, get your herbs in my hut, we have to brew more healing salve."
"Ok." Grace curiously approaches Divya who seems to be deemed safe. "We weren't properly introduced earlier, cause of the hostile situation and all. I'm Grace! Who are you? You said you were a herbalist."
"Well, most of the time. If you will let me go, I can go and fetch the herbs I just collected and had to drop when they attacked me. You can have some of them to take care of your wounded ones."
Age eyes her very sceptically, but since she got no other idea what to do with Divya, she consents on the suggestion.
"Flies, if you still want to help: Thumbs and Wants started to build up new huts before the battle, maybe you could help them out. We will get reinforcements soon, so we definitely need more huts. At least the clan councillor who just visited us promised to send some."

Tinkers walks over to the pile of loot and places the items from the halfling there and takes two daggers, the cape and the facepaint instead.
As he is putting the cape on, Tinkers asks "Have they begun questioning that woman yet? I'd like to be there for that."
Thumbs leaves the hut to continue working on the new huts. "Yes, they did, but it is not questioning. More like talking or chatting. She is nice and saved me, and maybe Walks and Wants, too."
He walks to the hut. But since it is already pretty full, he stops and stands in the doorframe.

Wants picks up the longsword and swings it around. Since it is far to heavy, he has problems controlling it and ends spinning around dangerously for anybody close to him. Somehow he manages to drive the sword deep into the stone base of the chest pedal. He tries to free it,but does not succeed. She shrugs his shoulders and goes back to the loot pile.
"Man this is some sweet loot, wants smiles and he starts to look trough the pile, taking a closer look at the gear."
His eyes become large when he sees that Grace added the large metal round shield on the pile in the meantime. He jumps forward to grab it and then he hugs it for a moment. Then he drops the small wooden shield onto the pile instead and starts to polish his new shield, kissing it from time to time. It is large enough to cover nearly all of him if used in the right way.

After all the fighting with the dwarf, dealing him many small and larger wounds, Coats feels like smaller wounds won't effect him as much as they did before.

He takes his knife and goes to find pieces of wood suitable for a wooden shield. He also remembers that there are many wooden training weapons in the orc town, even if now is not a good time to get them. When he passes by the pile of loot, he notices a small wooden shield lying on top of it. He shrugs his shoulders and takes it. Then he tries to find some goblins to train with him. Poor says he would like to train, but not now. He wants Age to medicate his burn first, so he is looking for her.
"What I heared about you facing the dwarf, I don't think you are not that much in need of training" chief Appears says, suddenly appearing behind Coats. "But if you really want, I can train with you later. For now, we need to prepare our camp for more residents. We're about to get reinforcement soon. You want to continue our stone carrying training? Age asked for a herb bed."

Cowers continues watching the lakeside a little longer for threats. But since none are visible and Bones says calmly "Will take them a while to build or find a boat to cross the lake. And with the waterfalls ahead, I don't think they would try to cross it with some hastily rigged up raft thing. Not with armor and weapons and other equipment which cannot swim on it's own." Cowers puts the bow down, unstrings it and helps Bones to row the boat. "W-wow. That was a little too close. I hope the others back at the warcamp had an easier time than we did."
But it doesn't look like they got an easier time when they arrive at the jetty. Still warm wood with recently extinguished fire, and everybody running around. She can see a dead and striped human corpse beside the jetty and Walks, who got some fresh wounds walking away from it, carrying a large amount of loot, followed by Nauhir.

Battle:
Coats is back on 3/6.

Items:
Tinkers:
2 daggers (+1 ATK)
1 dark green cape
1 set of camouflage face paint
Coats:
1 small wooden shield (+2 DEF)
Wants:
1 medium iron shield (+3 DEF)

Traits:
Coats: tall improved from " can only wear dwarf-sized armor now, +1 HP" to "
can only wear dwarf-sized armor now, +1 HP, +1 DEF"
Wants: def stance (give up your ability to attack for +2 DEF. Still can parry or react on attacks. Scales with DEF value.)

Anti-Confusion-Information:
@Jacon: I just noticed Coats lost his (goblin+1) bonus on armor, since it is based on the small size of goblins, one level below medium. So it is still 6 DEF even with improved tall trait.
@Mage-Loot: Will add it soon, got no time for it at the moment.
@Loot: Some corpses are still not looted yet.

"I'll go help with the huts then" Flies answers to Age. She leaves the hut, looks for Thumbs and joins him.
"Age told me that you and Wants were building new huts so I decided to come and see what I could do to help. I don't know much about building but I'll do whatever you need me to."
"As long as you aren't all thumbs like me ... I know how to do it, but only mess it up nearly everytime I try to do it on my own. Lets continue to dig holes for the beams." he says, handing Flies a rusty and burred knife. "Use that to dig."

They still got the following equipment:
- 1 carpenter hammer
- 1 small carpenter hatchet
- 1 rusty one man saws (from the 1 kg rusted iron tools)
- 1 ladder
- 2 m┬▓ wooden planks and beams
- 1 handfull of nails
- 1 wooden toolbox (orc size)
- 1 rusty and burred knife (from the chest)

Inside Thumbs hut. "Yes, age. I'll be right there." Grace goes by the loot pile, takes a look and picks up that elven flute.

Cowers looks around warily, drawing her knife. "Y-you don't think any a-adventurers are still around, do you?" She asks of Bones. "Wait, what am I thinking? I need to find Age and Appears!" Cowers says and seeks Age or Appears, followed by Bones. She sees Appears talk to Coats in front of the Jetty and Age walking into her her hut. She follows Age and tells her what happend with Bones throwing in some information too. After listining, Age answers "I kind of expected something like that, but not such large numbers. Three fires you say? Well, like Bones said, it will take them some time to find some boat or rig up a solid raft to cross the lake safely. They won't come if they cannot come with a number large enough to make shure they can handle us. Lets go back to improve our camp and prepare ourselves. Do you want to finish your work on the garden?" she asks, turned to Age. "Bones is a gardener, he can tell you what is left to do."

Grace examines the flute on her way to her hut to see what it sounds like. Nice and joyous sounds emerge from it, like birds singing. She puts it beside her bed and takes the herbs she collected to the teller's hut where they will brew the new salve. Age explains which herbs they actually need for it.
She also hands four potions to Grace, which the group gave her earlier to analyze and tells her what they are.
Coats turns and nods his head respectfully to the chief. He'll start logging stones again but also throws a few suggestions towards the chief.
" I think we need to start training the goblins here for battle. Seems like theirs gonna be more adventurers and we should be prepared. Also I want to take a group to the spider caves and clean it out. We might be able to find something valuable or perhaps use the spiders bodies for something."
"Thats good thinking. Their light chitinous exoskeletons should be a good crafting material for armor. Don't look at me like that. I read it in a book. But the top priority is to get the dead spiders bodies. That makes us stronger. Fighting them could cost us some fighters, so it can wait until we either are stronger, or they prove themselves as a real threat."

Coats notices the sword stuck in the stone and tries to pull it out.
" What are people thinking..."
He pulls really hard, but cannot get it out of the stone.
"Hah! Like in a fairy tale!" Appears says, put does not try to pull it out.
"Let's build the herb bed."
They walk behind the storage shed and move the stones they collected to a free spot. Two gardeners join them and use their tools to put earth behind and between the stones to keep them in place. After a while they notice that is it not a good idea to use only round stones to build a robust wall.
"Coats, please check the rusty tools for one or two chisels and bring hammers as well. We need to work on those stones."

Wants gives his shield one last kiss, and places it on the ground, throwing the entire loot pile on it and dragging it towards the storage.
"You did well as well Nauhir." WalksBriskly says as he sets all of the stuff down on the loot pile and assists wants in dragging it into storage, being sure to lay out anything that would get seriously damaged if it stayed wet, like books and things. "I think I need to help around camp a bit before anything else."
"You could help me and thumbs building a new hut." Wants suggests.
"Sure. We're probably gonna get some more people soon anyway. I always wanted to learn construction." Walks says, then turns to Nauhir and silently mouths while shaking his head. "I didn't."
Wants brings some of the loot to Age and puts the gold into the poorly locked treasure cheast. Walks tells Age that there is more things she might want to check, but which are wet so he put them into the storage to dry.
Then they go to where Flies and Thumbs are already busy, Thumbs asks them to bring more of the beams and planks from the storage. And maybe another tool they could use to dig.
Walks joins in, but Wants says "I got to take care of a couple of thing, IÔÇÖll help you with that hut when IÔÇÖm done."

Upon hearing that Divya is temporarily leaving, Tinkers says "Hmm...you are leaving the warcamp? At least three members of this party were hiding from us since the beginning of the battle. For all we know, there could still yet be more, waiting for you to make yourself vulnerable. I shall escort you to your supplies. You may call me Tinkers." "Divya smiles very warmly but also looks like she has to fight herself not to laugh. But she nods "You are welcome. If you want to be my guardian, I won't stop you. Maybe we can even track down their camp. Did not see any backpacks on them although they are so far from home. Maybe they just left them there for the battle. What you think?"
Divya takes the lead, and it looks like she is good in reading tracks. But at least the footprints from the dwarfs metal soles are easy to see, even for Tinkers.
Tinkers follows her, trailing a few feet behind.

Battle:
Coats is back on 4/6.

Loot:
Walks loot from the dead mage:
120 gold coins
1 robe (medium)
1 mage hat
4 unidentified potions (Wants took them to Age to get them identified)
1 small healing potion
1 medium healing potion
1 wand
1 unidentified amulet (Wants took it to Age to get it identified)
2 unidentified rings (Wants took them to Age to get them identified)
1 book (wet, drying in the storage)
3 scrolls (wet, drying in the storage)
1 letter (wet, drying in the storage)
1 map (wet, drying in the storage)
loot he took from the chest and which is now back:
22 gold coins
1 crate of leather clothes (15 x orc adult) (75 g)
1 ancient orcish rune long sword (to large for a goblin, or +3 two handed for Coats atm) (50+? g)
1 ancient orcish rune helmet (to large for a goblin) (50+? g)
1 ancient orcish rune tower shield (to large for a goblin) (50+? g)
1 short sword (+2 ATK) (10 g)
an old adventurer sock inhabited by clothes moths (0 gold)
a nugget of scoria (0 gold)

Items:
Grace:
1 potion of enlarge person (? g) (double the size and weight of a person for 5+x turns)
1 potion of reduce person (? g) (halfs the size and weight of a person for 5+x turns)
1 potion of cure poison (? g) (cures poision, 5/5 uses)
1 potion of haste (? g) (move and act much faster for 1+x turns)

Anti-Confusion-Information:
Bandages with healing salve heal 1 hp/turn. Coats already regained 4 hp that way. Maybe Wants and Walks want to visit Age when the new salve is finished.
Not looted adventurers yet:
- elven ranger at the tree. (was only checked for healing potions)
- halfling ranger killed by Tinkers at the beginning of the fight. Close to the forest west of the camp.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

"Um... I hadn't really given it much thought, but alright." She sighs. "I think I'm a little over-armed for gardening at the moment, though. Oh! I almost forgot!" Cowers passes over the Search Grid and the Unidentified Scroll to Age. "Bones took down one of the humans, and he had those on him. Doesn't mean a whole lot to me, but maybe you can make sense of it. Also, did you identify those potions I brought you?" "Thats very interessting, but I will have to finish the salve first. Will have a look on it later. I gave the potions to Grace." Age says, while Grace is exited about them.
"Ooh, those could be pretty useful!" she says while stashing them in her backpack. Then she returns to the cauldron in which Age is brewing the salve. She watches what Age does very mindfully and takes mental notes.
"Okay. I'll just put up some of my things and put some other things in storage. Then I'll head back to the garden."
Cowers puts most of her items away, then she continues to the garden. Bones is already there and tells her what is left to be done from time to time.

"Well...Let's get to work..." WalksBriskly says as he helps build the new huts, pondering the things that the wizard took, trying to see any significance to them. "The Runed Orcish stuff is already worth money, so that's obvious. Why did he take the nugget and the sock ?"

Flies follows Thumbs instructions and continues to dig a hole for another beam.
"I'm not sure i'm suited to.........digging in the ground, I'd much rather.........be somewhere high.........maybe i'll get a chance to work on.........building the roof.........or maybe some of the others.........will help with this and I can.........do something more interesting" Flies mutters to herself while she works. "Well, once the beams are errect and cross beams are put on top of them, you can go cut reed and branches for the roof. That's more interesting?" Thumbs asks while he and Walks put another beam in a hole.

Wants takes one quick look at the storage to check if their isn't any stuff he could wear to increase his defense, but there is none. He also finds a very sharp axe, but no better sword than his one.
He returns to Thumbs and continues to help building the hut. When he sees the others who joined them, he smiles "Oh great more help!"

"I think you give the spiders to much credit. We've already killed a bunch of them and no one was killed. I think a careful, well armed group could slowly take care of it. Perhaps we can even get our hands on some eggs and start raising them ourselves" Coats says. "I did not say they are not killable, but we got a large threat at hand in the orc town at the moment. So no need to create a second one until we dealt with the first one" the chief answers.
Coats goes to search through the storage, especially the rusty tools. He notices that there is a
- set of stonemason tools (? g)
in the storage and takes it. He is even able to collocate a second
- set of stonemason tools (? g)
out of the rusty tools, taking away about 2 kg of them. Equipped like that, he heads back to the chief. The chief explains to him how to work on the stones so that he neither breaks them in the middle nor only gets smithereens out of them while shaping them into a more rectangular form.

"Hmm...they wouldn't have known that they'd be walking into my people's warcamp, so I doubt they were expecting a battle. If they didn't drop their backpacks when they saw you, then yes it would be prudent to assume they left their backpacks at their camp. And with all these tracks, it should be easy enough to locate where they came from.
Now, I know why they were snooping around here, but I have to ask; why were you so close to our camp?"
"Why do you think they did not know where your warcamp was? It is know even by the most amateur adventurers in Westengaard which is days to the east from here. I believe they belong to the same group roaming through the woods around the lake lately. So I am pretty sure they were on their way to your camp when they run into me." Divya takes a deep breath and smiles "No need for tracks, I can even smell where the dwarf was."
Tinkers continues following Divya, keeping one hand close to his Black Dagger.

Battle:
Coats is back on 5/6.

Time:
It is getting darker, time for campfire-supper and bed.

Anti-Confusion-Information:
@About Loot, Inventory, Equipment, especially @Asks: I won't select items for you which are better. You have to name them and have to go through the list yourself. I got enough work keeping the inventory of chest-storage-teller's hut up to date in post 1 of the thread and to update your chars from time to time in post 2 of the thread.
Also, I wrote that there are two adventurers unlooted, one of them a halfling. I don't understand why Wants did not search him but the storage instead which's content you could see. There is a weapon upgrade there for the more offensive players there (the +3 axe), but nobody took it. It would have been an upgrade for anybody except Flies and Walks who got spear mastery.
@Map: I think I will have to draw a campaign map soon, I am loosing track of locations. Do you remember me mentioning anything else beside the hometown, the warcamp, the orc town, Westengaard and the ancient goblin civilization ruins in the far northeast?

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

"Hmm...How is it that we are that well known? We are a tiny warcamp. Just one or two elite adventurers could wipe us out. I suppose if there aren't any other points of interest around, but still....You say you live around here. Why do you not live in a village or city with other humans?" Tinkers aks while following her vigilantly.
"You got gold, that attracts them all. There is no need to know where you are for adventurers, there will always be somebody in an inn, a bar or just standing around on the street with an old map or a quest like 'collect ten goblin heads'. One time I went to the market I even found somebody who got a quest for herbs. I tricked him into believing I am adventurer, so he gave me the quest and paid me much more money for my herbs seconds later than I would have got on the market. You would not believe what they pay for orc teeth or spider eyes or legs. You could even sell the most disgusting entrails for gold over there if you are an adventurer. Even if they already started to rot! I don't know why they do this, many things I would not even take for free. Such a waste of money." She is quiet for a second, then she remembers the second question. "Well, I do not like cities or villages. People tend to become stupid and superstitious in there. And then the start to scream 'Witch!' after people like me or even burn us. But if we only visit them to sell herbs, mushrooms and potions or do a few healing or midwife jobs from time to time, they do not care more about us than about any other merchant."
"Hmm...and humans have the audacity to call my people monsters." Tinkers ponders the likely response before asking, "Would they be right in calling you a witch?"
"No, they wouldn't." Divya says.
"Hmm...I had no intention of being this blunt, but curiosity is forcing my hand. If you're no witch, then what exactly are you?"
"Your words sound like your question is not about what I am, but what I am to you and your camp. A foe? A friend? A menace or a godsend? Am I right?"

Tinkers and Divya reach F6. In the north, Tinkers can see the hill of the spider lair from time to time. But most of the time the dense forest does not allow looking so far. Divya follows a track Tinkers has no problem of noticing, too. After a while, they notice a tent on a clearance almost completly surrounded by thornbushes. They sneak closer and see that there are more tents and a burned down camp fire in the middle. They also notice that it is getting dark.

Meanwhile, in the warcamp:
"My loot sense are tingeling!" Wants shoots and he drops his tools and runs to the bushes just outside of the camp to look for the dead adventures. In front of it, close to the dead and now nearly naked dwarf corpse, he finds the halfling Tinkers killed at the beginning of the battle.
"Ah, there you are!" wants smiles and he starts looting him, putting all the stuff in his bag and walking to the storage.

Grace yawns unintentionally. The tension of the fight earlier is starting to wear off her, and Mags does that make a goblin tired. Grace goes back to her hut and grabs the flute, leaving Age and the salve behind. Age frowns when Grace goes away without saying a word. Sitting down in the camp, the sun settling in the horizon, she relaxes, then plays. It brings peace to her mind and everything else disappears but the sound.

"Hey, I learned this song from somebody back home who said he learned it from some dwarves." WalksBriskly says as he starts singing the Hi Ho song, trying to get the others to join in as they work, as Rhythm helps with repetitive tasks. Grace flute sounds are carried over to them by the wind in just that moment. Thumbs joins in but loses his concentration and then hits his Thumb with his hammer, while trying to ram the beam into the ground. "Damn it! Let's call it a day, what you say?"
"I'm going to get some food then sleep that battle took a lot out of me. How long does it take to build a hut?" she asks Thumbs. "Without a battle about one per day if there are around two or four helpers. Can you get me something too? Have to take care of my STUPID STUPID thumb again." he says and heads to the teller's hut.
Flies and the others join the campfire and find the dog of the halfling ranger roasting over the fire. Soon they find out that it is very tasty.

Cowers finishes up at the garden and then joins the others at the campfire before she retires to her hut for the night. Thumbs and Age appear, Thumbs with a freshly bandages thumb,
Age with the book with golden ornaments looted from the dwarf.

Walks put the loot into the storage and the gold into the chest, but then he suddenly noticed the axe lying around there. "Hehehe" he laughes "I'm going to kill me so much baddies with this baby!" He puts his sword away and takes the axe instead, then he joines the others at the campfire.

After a while they all go to bed except for a few goblins on night-watch.

"Yes and no. Of course I'd like to know if you intend to help us or betray us; however, what I meant by my question is that I don't think you're really a human. You seemed to far at ease while sitting in the middle of our warcamp. And you claim you could smell the dwarf's trail? I've heard that human senses are weaker then most other races, yet I've smelled nothing. Something just seems...not right about you." Tinkers stops moving forward, and looks to Divya, awaiting her response. But there is none. She only smiles.
They are standing in the adventurers camp. Nobody there and it is getting very dark. The forest is to dense so Tinkers can't even see the sky. "Lets use their bedrolls. They got no use for it anymore." Divya suggests and vanishes in a tent.

"Hmm...I'd better get these wounds seen to...Nauhir, are you hurt?" Nauhir shakes his head. Seems he is fine. Walks goes to see Ages, who just finished the salve. "Just in time." She hands a bandages soaken with salve to Walks and then helps him to attach it. Very soon, the wounds ache much less and stop fealing hot. Wants thanks her and goes over to the campfire.

Grace finishes her tune. She then takes her meal
After reequipping his old sword, Wants goes to the campfire and joins the others, telling them his plan.
"Guys I know we're all tired, and afraid..but we have to go back to finish off those spiders.
I know we almost died out there, but there could be lots of loot in that cave, stuff we can use against the adventures when they come back.
we killed them this time without losing a single one of our own, but we might not be so lucky next time.
so my plan is to go back to the cave, but this time we all go, prepared and with better gear we can easily whipe out the spiders with minimal damage, if we plan it right"
But he does not get much of a response. Everybody is eating and tired.
Flies, Coats and Cowers finish their meals and go to bed. "It's important to be full of energy when you're terrified out of your wits" Cowers thinks.

Grace gets some food for Age and returns to her. "I'm sorry I walked away on you. It was stupid. I just.. I don't know. I forgot what I was doing. I must be really tired. I brought you food!" When she hears the story Age is very pardoning. "It's a pity to weren't able to learn how to create the salve. Now we got enough for some weeks. Good night." she says. Then she eats her food and goes to bed. Grace does the same.

Battle:
Coats is back on 6/6.
Walks is back on 3/5.

Turn 66
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Sensing he won't be getting any more answers from Divya on the subject he brought up last night, Tinkers looks around the campsite for anything that might be useful. But since he cannot see very much and he is getting very tired, he falls into the gras and asleep. The next morning, he awakes inside of one of the tents, a planket covering him.

Grace goes to Age to continue to learn.

Flies wakes up and after arming herself and saying a quick "Good morning." to Cowers she heads out into the village.

When Wants wakes up, he hurries into the middle of the camp. Then he hits his shield with his sword and shouts:
"OK LISSEN UP everybody, we should take another look at the spider cave, and we need to go together !, that means all of us. If we all go we can kill off the spiders in no time, and be back to finish the huts and welkom the new guys "

Cowers hears the banging, and bolts upright out of bed. Was it another attack? Grabbing and stringing her bow, she bolts out of her hut and nocks an arrow. "Where are they? What's going..." She yelps, looking for trouble.
Outside, Cowers stares at Wants, her brief panic fading to confusion... then anger. "You... YOU JACKASS!" Cowers screams at Wants. "WHERE DO YOU GET OFF SCARING THE HELL OUT OF PEOPLE LIKE THAT!" Before Wants can reply, Cowers storms off back to her hut, muttering obscenities under her breath. " I'll bring you back someting nice" Walks yells after her.
Coats emerges from his hut wiping his eyes at sleep. He watches as Cowers storms back to her hut and he chuckles.
Cowers goes back to her hut to get her backpack and bow and walks to the huts to help. Thumbs gives her some short instructions after he noticed that she is mad about something.
" You sure know how to make friends.." Coats says walking up to Wants " I'm willing to go to the spider caves, our goblins need armor and those spiders might be the solution but the two of us aren't going to cut it. We need at least two other well armed goblins to have a chance..."
"I'll go to the Cave if needed, but I think we should try building these huts first..." WalksBriskly says, joining Wants and Coats.
After hearing Wants' idea Flies replys "Sorry but it could take a while to get those huts up and we really should have them ready before our clan-mates arrive, besides the spiders arn't a threat right now." and goes to Thumbs and assist him with building the hut.
"Good morning!" Thumbs says to Flies. He is already bussy digging another hole, with one hand and a knive, while he does not use the other hand since he hurt his thumb badly the day before.
"Didn't you want to do something which includes climbing? We need long and straight twigs and branches for the roof. Could you take this hatched and cut down the bushes northwest of here?"
Flies notices two other goblins, one of them being Poor, at the burned down huts. Poor walks to the others and tells them.
"Thumbs, Age told us to remove this. She said there is no need to build huts so close to the forest when we could replace the burned down ones. She wants the camp to be compact we can defend it better."
"Good idea, I was thinking the same but wasn't shure if we got enough time to remove them."
"Oh, you send somebody to cut down the bushes? Thats good, with more free space around the camp we won't get ambushed that easily again. "
Then Poor goes back to the burned down huts and they start to demolish them and move the burned wood to the campfire.

"Girls like shiny stuff right?" Wants aks the other two. "Maby she won't be so grumpy all the time if i find her something fancy. Well were with three, we could go look for thinkers, he went with that human to look for the adventures camp." Wants suggests and starts to prepare things for their departure. He goes to the storage, to make some more torches, since he only got two left. He finds enough firewood to make torches, but he finds no cloth except for the bandages. He could try to check the treasure chest for some or ask Age. He also takes one dried fish ration and the string with a bell .
Since this takes a while, Coats and Walks spend the time by helping in building the huts and carving stones.
" Hey Chief." Coats says as he carves "We are going to do some battle training any time soon. We're gonna need it if we dealing with adventurers." "Didn't I just hear you talking about leaving to camp to check on Tinkers?" the chief answers. "We finish this bed and the huts, then we prepare for those guys on the other side of the lake. I already send the fisherman to have a look at what they are doing."
"Yes, Wants came up with this plan. Is it ok with you if we go and try to find Tinkers? Then we'll see about taking the fight to the spiders. Can we go? I know your worried the spiders might become another threat if we attack but we could really use the armor from the spiders and theirs a chance we might find something else useful in there"
"I will allow you to check for Tinkers when the work is done, but you will not go and fight the spiders before the problem with those cultists and the mysterious artifact is over. You may check if there is activity outside the entrance, but you will not go inside! We need you here and healthy soon, so make shure the Tinkers.finding-mission is over fast!"

Battle:
Walks is back on 5/5.

Construction:
The new hut is half done. It still needs a roof and planks for the walls.

Items:
Flies:
1 small carpenter hatchet
Wants:
1 string with a bell(? g)
1 ration - dried fish (1 week road rations)
1 units firewood (one per day)

Anti-confusion-information:
Please try to show me what you want to do. It was hard to sort out Wants, Walks and Coats actions this turn, since there were many changes which did not fit together. And, if more than one person conditions it's actions with an IF on other persons actions, please do be more specific like "He will go if X persons will go.". And please avoic circular conditions. It was hard to decide what everybody is doing with so much ifs. Hope you like my solution. Next time, please edit or change your previous posts, at least if you are online.

Turn 67
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Grace keeps close to Age, studying. She tries to focus extremely hard, as she is still guilt-ridden from the other night. "How dumb of me to just walk away. We were brewing, and brewing is fun, and then I just had to go away? For some flute? From now on, I'll do what I have to first, and then I can play. Just then. It sounded pretty nice though. I wonder when we're done he.." Grace realizes her mind has wandered and she has no idea of what she's been doing the last minute. She glances at Age to see if she noticed. If it's obvious she does, Grace blushes and excuses herself, promising to be better. "Concentrate. One mistake can be one too much if it is a badly injured case. It can lead to the death of somebody you could have saved. If you mess up while learning it is not that bad, bad you should start to train your concentration right away."

Flies smiles at Thumbs "Thanks for getting me out of digging. I owe you one!".
She then heads northwest to gather what he needs, cutting down the whole bush since she does not see any nests or birds in it.

Coats shrugs. "If were not gonna fight the spiders I don't see the point." "Well the point would be to check on Tinkers. Nevermind." He than goes to help with the building. Appears says " I was thinking you would help me to finish this...well, no problem to do it alone", then he shruggs his shoulders and continues to work on the herb bed whose stone wall is now about half done. Coats replaces Walks who is leaving to join Wants on his Mission to check on Tinkers, followed by Nauhir.

"Well, boys, let's go find Tinkers!" WalksBriskly says, going into Tinkers Hut. He presents the bedding to Nauhir so he can pick up the scent "Can you find this guy? I mean I could probably track him down, but this would be great."
Nauhir nods and blows our some air, then he runs out of the hut, sniffing on the ground and following Tinkers trail. At first he runs through the bushes, then towards the tree were Tinkers was wounded. Then he shakes his head, runs back to where Tinkers has slain the first adventurer. It looks like he got another trail and runs into the forest, slow enough for the others to follow him.
Wants and Walks jog behind him. Wants keeps his eyes open for something nice, but except for some bloodsoaken feathers where something had eaten a pigeon, he does not notice anything.

Examining his surrondings, Tinkers mutters to himself, "Hmm..." He gets up and walks outside. He cannot see Divya, so he resumes searching the campsite. He cannot find much, but there are four tents made of waxed heavy cloth, large enough for two humans, and enough bedrolls to fill them. He also found two lanterns a set of flint, but not trace of the backpacks.
How could the haul all those tents without them? Or did they hide them very well before the left?
While thinking this, Nauhir darts out of the forest and jumps around Tinkers. Shortly after him, Walks and Wants follow. Walks trained eye for loot wanders straight into the trees over Tinkers head. When Tinkers follows Wants gaze, he notices some backpacks attached to a rope, which runs over one branch and is tied to another one a bit lower in the tree.

Items:
Flies
1 stack of sticks for the roof

"Sweet lanterns, we could really use those!" Wants says, trying to reach for the backpacks, jumping up and down. But he can't reach them.
"Excellent work Nauhir" WalksBriskly says, scratching the companion behind the ears. When he sees Wants reaching for the backpacks, he looks up and notices the backpacks, too. He goes over to tree and climbs it high enough to untie the rope, lowering the backpacks down to Wants who takes them and puts them in the middle of the camp.
He checks them for loot.
"O hey human" he says when he sees what's in there and checks it out.
"I don't know about you guys but i'm taking all the loot back to the camp!" he laughs and he starts to move the items between the backpacks. But it is too much for one backpack, so he packs everything in two backpacks.
The tents and bedrolls are too large to be packed into a backpack, but at least one of each can be strapped on the outside of his backpack. Wants puts the two backpacks on his back, too, looking like a mule, but very, very happy. He starts going back to the warcamp very slowly and panting like a dog, since he is carrying very much weight. Tinkers continue to search through the warcamp and finds a pile of earth close to large stone on top of lately moved earth, hidden in a bush.

In the warcamp, Flies returns to Thumbs and the others working on the hut.
"Is that enough or do we need more?" Flies says and shows Thumbs the stack of sticks.
"We need at least two or three more for one hut."
"I will gather more..." she says and heads back to cut down more bushes.
Cowers and Coats are building the walls of the hut now, by nailing planks onto the beams. Coats gets an idea while they are doing this, which might improve the defensibility of the warcamp. He adds another plan to his todo-list: creating board treehouses for the archer in the trees around the warcamp so they can shoot adventurers from safety.

"I will. I'll start right away." Grace sits down and closes her eyes. She tries to forget the voices inside her head. To let go of her desires. She doesn't succeed very well. "It's hard to find that focus. I have too much on my mind."
"I was talking about concentrating on the thing you are doing, not to stop it and concentrate without doing anything." Age says and laughes.
Grace decides to try to find the focus. But for now she'll settle for asking: "Age, how did you become a teller?"
"I decided that I wanted to, concentrated and spend many years studying and learning from an other tellers. And I concentrated most of the time. It is easier if you got a little gift from Maglubiyet, but not every teller has it. But you can kind of compensate it if you are good enough in potion making, arcane knowledge, history and local lore. But with a name like yours, you maybe got it if the teller naming you was not the same idiot naming the chief or Cowers or Poor. But you have to know something about gifts from gods: You have to show that you deserve and not only want them. Else they will be there, but not show themselves all your life!"

Loot:
Adventurer camp:
3 waxed tent, large enough for two medium beings
7 bedrolls
5 empty backpacks.
Wants:
2 backpacks, filled with loot.
1 bedrolls
1 waxed tent, large enough for two medium beings
2 lanterns
1 set of flint

Map:
Wants is moving towards G7, but is too slow to reach it this turn.

Anti-confusion-information:
@Jrlans: Since you did not post yet, I will edit his action in later. Please do post two actions this turn, one backdated for Turn 68 and one for the next Turn (69) and seperate them. I added a default action for you for now, making Tinkers continue what he did last turn. (Searching the adventurer's camp)

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

"Pfff this stuff sure is heavy.." wants says panting heavily while he continues to head for the camp. He leaves the dense forest and enters the sparser forest close to the warcamp.
"Well fine, take all the stuff and leave us behind..." Walks says when Wants leaves them. Then he starts to search the rest of the stuff, but there are only tents, bedrolls and empty backpacks left. Seems like Wants took all the good stuff. Walks packs up as many Tents and Bedrolls he can carry and prepares himself to walk back to the warcamp. But since Tinkers is not ready, he waits for him.
"Hmm..." Tinkers walks over to Divya's tent, hoping he's not going to regret what he's about to do. "Divya! Divya are you in there?"
After he got no response for about one minute, he pokes his head into the tent to see if she's still there, but it is empty.
It seems to get late; fog starts to crawl through the dense forest they are in.

Back in the warcamp:
Flies goes back to the bushes and cuts down another one to collect sticks for the huts, while Coats and Cowers continue working on the hut. "I wonder... do you think it'd be possible to keep these huts from catching fire in the future? How did the two huts get burned down in the first place?" She asks. "If there would be a swamp with a tar pit or rock oil well around, we maybe could cover it with tar. But there is non. Did nobody tell you the story with the fire mage?" Thumbs asks her in return and disbelieve.
Coats hammers in the last nail, then they are done with the walls and the floor.
"Lets start building the next one." Thumbs commands, walking over to the spot Poor and his helper just cleared by removing the burned down hut. Thumbs shows them where to start digging the beam holding holes.

In the tellers hut:
"I may not ever be a teller, but if I can be of help to this camp and to you that is good enough for me. History and local lore you said? Can you teach me some?" If Age does, Grace listens eagerly. "And the adventurers just lie dead outside. What have you done about that before?"
"We either threw them into the river or buried them in the forest before their stench started to attract wild animals. I would not dare to through them into the river now, with all those people on the other side of the lake. We can hope they underestimate us, but if we through seven adventurers into the lake, they might spot it and be more careful. I say we bury them tomorrow and continue the alchemy training."

Items:
Flies:
1 stack of sticks for the roof

Loot:
Adventurer camp:
1 waxed tent, large enough for two medium beings
4 bedrolls
3 empty backpacks.
Walks:
2 waxed tent, large enough for two medium beings
3 bedrolls
2 empty backpacks.

Map:
Walks reaches G7 this turn.

Time:
Evening is drawing on. The sun is still up, but not far away from the horizon.

Anti-Confusion-Information:

Turn 70
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Wants keeps walking to the camp. He is lucky and meats a hunter who helps him carry the loot back to the camp. Else he would not have made it to the camp this turn. But it took him too long to take a look at the loot yet. The hunter helps Wants to take it to the storage, then he leaves him.
In the storage, he meets chief Appears who is just done building the herb bed. "You look beaten up, did you not see Age after the battle?" Appears asks Wants.

"Damn! Walks she's gone! Can you have your wolf track her scent? She went into this tent here." Tinkers points to the tent she went into last night.
"Uhh...Sure. But don't you think we should get his stuff back to camp? I mean, there's all those people across the lake..." Walks says, searching for something loose in her tent. But except for the bedroll there is nothing in it. He pulls it out and shows it to Nauhir. "Do you think you could do your tracking trick again?" he asks Nauhir, who nods.
"Wait, there are more people across the lake? I hadn't heard about that....Hmm..." Tinkers contemplates what he should do."*sigh* Nevermind about tracking her. She said she lives close by, so maybe we'll meet again. I'll carry this." Tinkers gets the remaining equipment, then they start walking back to the warcamp.

"Yeah..." Cowers replies absentmindedly to Thumbs' question. "What about clay, though? Or rammed earth? There were some rammed earth houses back at the village... they were very nice." Cowers starts feeling a little homesick. She starts working on the holes for the second house. "I suppose these aren't really meant to be homes, though, are they?"
"Clay and straw might work, but we do not have the time to build such complex houses. We only need a place to sleep and keep some items. This is a warcamp after all, and your hut could be burned down by adventurers all of the time, like it happend to mine. The home town and the orc village got better houses, because the people really lived there. We are only here to fight..." he says, looking sad all of a sudden and looking homesick, too.
Flies carries the stack of sticks back to the hut. "One more group should be enough right?"
"I'm not shure, better get another one for that hut. Also, we need the three more for this hut." Thumbs says, pointing on the second hut with his bandages thumb.
Flies goes back to the bushes and cuts down more. She get's better doing it after all the experience, so she manages to cut down another one this turn.
While Cowers and Coats keep working on the second hut, Thumbs goes over to the first one. He looks for the longest and thickest sticks from the stacks Flies collected and then peels of it's bark in long strips. Then he climbs on top of the beams, starting to build the framework of the roof by tying the sticks together like a tent, using the bark-strips. When he is nearly done, he falls down and curses, only to climb up again after a few seconds.
