Hope is indeed the appropriate concept, when it comes to Pandora. I'm not quite sure aspiration fits that kind of hope. In Pandora's case, the box contained all the evils in the world (in the form of stinging insects), and the last out of the box was a beautiful butterfly named Hope. It's hope that lets us combat evil and pain.

An aspiration is a little different. It's an ideal in your mind to which you aspire. Something you wish to become. A goal you want to reach, or at least work towards.

I don't mean to split hairs. It works well enough for the game, which requires us to twist things to fit the confines of the acronym. But since you seemed unsure of the word and its usage, I thought I'd elucidate.

That's how I always understood "Aspiration". It jsut seemed wrong for the thesauri to propose Aspiration as a synonym for "Hope". And when an online translator also translated Aspiration to "Hoffnung" (=Hope), I thought to try it.
Well, you need to aspire to be the best to overcome all obstructions coming out of Pandora's box. (I know the tale - I need to get my hands on the old books of my father with the old Greek, Roman, and Germanic tales. As a kid I read them for pure fun, and because they illustrate the foundations of our cultures. still I could never read the "classics" of literature. Goethe (Faust,...), Schiller, ...)
But I do not want those books to end up with my siblings, who are not fans of reading. Although that got much better since the advancement of social media and "smartphones". They do read now. Things I do not use...
