The Ongoing Saga!

So I've done a bunch of these but I know there are other emoticon artists out there. If anyone else feel like contributing, of if there's some of the other old ones (the klik ones or the other heads or anything) saved, I'm sure we'd be happy to have them.

and recently completed. I'm playing with colors for a decent blushing one next.


And to properly credit where credit is due ... I'm sorry, it's been so long. If any other olde members can fill in the gaps of my memory, it'd be appreciated. Some of these were simply salvaged from the old Snotling boards. I'm not sure who started the idea of these big-eared greenish goblin smileys. Snotling himself? And I don't remember the names of everyone who contributed. and were the work of PhoenixTalion, IIRC, and maybe and possibly others - I think I just put the frames together for the animated gifs and possibly added transparency.

and were the work of someone else who did several others like them. Wish I could remember her name. Quite a talented pixel artist. Those two swords I think I cleaned up or evened out the animation or something, which is why I had those in particular saved.

Most of the others here were my work, largely based off other less-green and eared smileys out there in the interwebs. If anyone has any requests, I'll see what I can do.

There comes a point where I've just got to say "Eh, good enough."

Zathyr, you are awesome, you know that right? I will be putting you in the forum credits and would be happy to give you a title as recognition of your work. ("Makes Us Smile" maybe?)

I was thinking it might be cool to have some smilies with willowed eyes... but I suppose it might be confusing when compared to I may have to work on those and maybe an Axe of Prissan one at some point.

I'm glad you folks like 'em. Makes me glad I saved so many. I think they've made the trek across 2 or 3 computers along with my other documents before I put them up on photobucket. Of course some I just couldn't bear to part with anyway. I spent more time than I care to admit working on making decisions on things like should the ear fall off, how that ear should fall off, the trajectory of blood splatter ... pretty morbid when I think about it. Makes me laugh anyway. But of all of them is probably my favorite; an expression I made for another forum long ago because I wrote *peers at [name] curiously* so many times I felt that it needed an emoticon. Heh. And I love the ear wiggle in the ranting one when it shakes its head. Dang that one has a lot of frames.

For willowed smilies, we could probably just grey the eyes on the devilish ones. Hmm, maybe without the horns. What do you think?

As for a title, hmm.. Maybe "Bringer of Smiles" or "Emoticrafter" or ... I'll think on it.

Yes, I made (well, converted) another smiley just to accompany that line. I may have a problem..

If you'd make a willowing smiley, I'd indeed use this frown :mad: together with the willowed eyes. But that's just me.

Yeah, something like that. The ones we have would work if you don't want to, but it seems like there is a hole that the new one would fill.

I'll see what I can do. Not quite sure when, but it's on the list.

So while your in the process of adding infinite awesome smileys, what about adding a "sarcastic" smiley? Or the "awesomeface" smiley?
