I just noticed this thread and it seems like a lot of fun. Two quick questions: You are still accepting new players right? And assuming you are still accepting players, what characters do you still need? I was thinking either a sniper(Techy with sniping laser seems the only option in that way for now) or a speedy person to dismantle things, but i can play pretty much any class if there is a need for it.

Can an infiltrator and the other mechy start in the top right corner? Once the development center is down this map will be a cakewalk as my gunbots have three range, one more than the turrets we know about. We just let the gun bots take out the turrets and walk through.

Hi mad, welcome to the game! It's still open, yes.

@whird: You can specify where do you want to spawn on the top "row", players failing to do so will be filling the available spaces from left to right, top to bottom.

Well now I need to ask a question about future maps: How do our bonuses translate to them? Meaning I upgrade my Spider Mines for the first map, does that upgrade go away for the next map? Does it go away if I use all of my spider mines?

Bonuses translate and are permanent / player / item (so your Tinky will always have upgraded mines) . Depending on player activity I might allow to use group bonuses at the beginning of each round, or might not. This depends on many factors: your game enjoyment, my game enjoyment, interest, available free time, etc. Regardless of this, the obtained Victory Points will be good to purchase Upgrades too, so don't mind it much.

Only concern i have is that buildings have a TON of health compared to the damage the sniping laser and laser pistols do. And sniper rifels are supposed to do lots of damage! :roll: I guess i'll just hope the upgrades can improve the damage by quite a bit. Or that it has some kind of bonus against living enemies.

I'm locking new sign ups for this round, and prepare an update tomorrow when I get up. It's 3 am now, so this might aswell happen in the afternoon.

Nevertheless, if you wish to spawn on a specific spot on the top row, please state it until 2pm GMT+1, else it's assigned randomly. 2 borglins / tile at maximum.

Damage: 0
Function: Spawns a probe every second turn, up to a maximum of 4.

We did already plan this. I will spawn in the upper right, but trying to take over the first tower and then the upgrade center, so we get those upgrades instead of the enemies. :)
A speedy gave me a jackpack for my Techy "Blackout".

I want to start with Blackout on the 12th square in the first row.

Please leave some space in the upper right corner, I think Dlover created a jetpack bulky who wanted to go up there with me.

Speedy, not bulky. I was the one who gave you the jetpack. But I don't care where I start, I'll be over there soon enough.

Allright... Let's get rolling!

Changes before start:
- increased sniping laser damage a bit
- made laser pistols as a pair of weapons
- Made upgrade bonuses global

Turn 0 >>Next Turn

Jake Snipe arrives to the top right corner with his riffle. He gathers information about the lower building. +1VP
Nameless (Nameless) starts on the top left, with his recyclator and probes.
Big John wastes no time in getting into action, and spawns on k1 with his railgun.
Sam rolls out to i1 with his sniping laser. He hacks the database for info on the big building. +1VP
Blackout thursts in to l1 with a jetpack and an infiltrator. He looks up information on the towers. +1VP
Not as Big a Big John, but Bigger than Wee John John spawns on b1 too with his jetpack. He will be called "Not as" for shorts.
Chubby Spawns on c1 with a railgun.
Jack the Chipper starts out on d1, with his pistols blazing.
K. Banger joins up on e1, with his trusty spider mines in his backpack. He also upgrades Spider Mine damage to 35. +1VP
Boomer increases deadlyness by 100%, arriving on f1 with his trusty bazooka.
Pedro Rhian (Pedro Rhian) picks up his railgun, and spawns next to Boomer.
Theis starts out on h1 with his HealBot and proborter. His spider mines are in his backpack.
Nemo occupies the last empty slot in the top row with his recharging kit.

Regarding upgrade: I thought I saw info about what items can be recharged, but can't find it now. Can I see such list?

To confirm, did someone take my extra jetpack? If not, do I get to keep it?

If I do, Jack moves 4 down to D5 and attacks the turret on E4.

If not, Jack moves to G2 and attacks the turret on H3.

"Hey, the plan was to take over that one! Don't attack it, im right next to it!" Blackout shouts, moving to L3 after Big John went forward, since he said he would tank for Blackout, so the littly techy won't get hit. With his jetpack he flies onto the clief and starts infiltrating the tower on K3. (If he has to move into the same field as the tower, he will go there instead).

Maybe I just missed it, but did you say what info i got about the building at the bottom of the screen?

Big John doesn't need to move to have the tower focused on him, so he wastes no time, but proceeds to shoot the tower on K3 as many times as possible.. We don't know how long it takes for the towers to be fully infiltrated and this buys you a bit of time to get your work done.

Wait, I thought the plan was for you to infiltrate the big upgrade building, not the turret, that's why i was shooting it, to help you get past to the upgrade building. If we can infiltrate the upgrade building, we don't have to take out it's 1000 hp, and it will help us more than one tower. :|

Edit: also, what kind of upgrade bonuses would the sniping laser get?
