...to be honest, until Vorpal removed it, that thing looked like a mushroom to me, growing out of Complains' shoulder.
(But apparently it's a mouth and it stuck to the shoulder by one or more of the teeth - which I mistook for the mushrooms stem(s) - being buried into the flesh or at least clawing onto it hard enough to gain some adhesion.)
