Dain, looking a bit impatient, will start across next once Warryn gets across.

Aura stays put on her side of the room while the others gradually cross the black path. Warryn makes it safely to the far side, then Dain starts out. The floor shifts into the unmistakable shape of a bloated spider and the sound of skittering legs teases the edges of Dains awareness. He suppresses an involuntary shiver and carefully begins to cross.

((I'll take perception checks from everyone please))

Perception:1d20-1 = [6] = 5 ((Clueless as always.))

Ah'Sereen and Art just the faintest glimpse of movement from behind Aura, as if someone was standing there just a moment before...

Ah'sereen calmly grips her crossbow. "Aura? Be a dear and give me a hand over here?"

"What?" Aura says, surprised, as if only just realizing she's being spoken to... Before nodding, trying to come closer to Ah'Sereen...

Dain is muttering to himself about "creepy, crawly eight legs! Better not show themselves to me!" He makes his way carefully across. It's pretty obvious he's tense and he has a spell ready to fire while he does so. ((Ray of Frost)).

Art is on the far side of the room, so he says nothing about what sees, hoping that the women also noticed it.
He will watch carefully though and if he sees danger, will yell out.

Provided that Aura is able to move closer without being attacked, Ah'sereen will nod her head in the direction of what she thinks she saw, and gesture for the other genasi to be quiet as she raises her crossbow.

Ah'Sereen raises her crossbow in the direction she saw movement as Aura picks herself up and squishes close to the other genasi.

((I'll take 2 more perception checks from the ladies please))

Warryn waits by the exit, only half paying attention to what's happening on the other side of the room.

Perception: 1D20+98 = [9]+98 = 107

Doh... ... roll of 9 plus 9 should be an 18.

that's a hell of a modifier you've got there

The women look around, and... nothing. Maybe it was a just a shadow or a trick of the light?

But something about a patch of wall catches their eyes, where there seems to be a bulge where there wasn't one before and they are able to just make out the vague shape of a completely camouflaged humanoid shape, pressed against the wall and standing completely still.

"Well, hello there. Care to show yourself?"

((Crossbow readied action to shoot it if it's hostile.))

Ah'Sereen notices the smallest movement from the creature as it glances towards you then curses when it realises it's been spotted. The creature peels away from the wall and you watch as its skin flushes a rainbow of colours before settling on a pale blue that somewhat matches Ah'Sereen and Aura's skin colour.

The creature scowls at you both.

((What does it look like?))

"... are you from this place? Or have you been trapped here too?"

I'm not sure what Ah'Sereen would know about them, but it looks like a 5 foot tall humanoid chameleon.

((Dain is on the far side of the black path and probably can't see her. He'd know the two women were up to something tho. Give me a perception check))

Aura is still shivering at this point, and doesn't seem like one much for conversation... But she seems extremely wary about a sudden stranger, one hand already placed on her mace...
