Sorry, I won't be able to make it tonight. Just have Corval throw rope at stuff and fight for you. He just takes on his duty in order to be paid

I'm afraid that Thinks used Corval in such a manner that it is unspeakable on the forum...
I'm going to have to show Corval a teddy bear and ask...where did the elf lady touch you?

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
Hahaha! Actually nothing. Elara continued scouting the caverns underneath the mansion and LAYF sent Corval along with her for support. We discovered 2 escape tunnels, an underground river, no treasure then bravely ran away from a spider.
On regrouping, Bob was being... Well, Bob-like and demanded to know where we'd been so I patted him on the head and told him I'd snuck off for some private time with Corval just to put the idea of inter-racial relations in his head for fun. He wasn't amused.

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
Okay.
As promised. a recap, and all that is needed to play on here on the forum.
First. You guys defeated 4 Zombies, one Cultist envoker and one Cultist guard, as well as survived a fire trap. a total of 450 XP, Divided among the 3 that was involved in the fights, that is 150 XP to each. It has been added to your sheets.
The Maps you'll need are these.
You are all currently in the Deep cellar area.
All visible are places you have been.
The Caves below the deep celar is not marked on this map, as I'd like any exploration of that to be online if done
The door on the small stair case up on the 1st floor is locked. the big stairs are not.
The doors on the 2nd floor are all locked!
Maps:
The "Magic map copy"
World map: (This is not a map you have, this is "knowledge" of the world.)
Local map:(This is not a map you have, this is "knowledge" of the world.)
Roof tops and towers
Roof
2nd floor (All doors locked)
1st floor
Cellar
Deep cellar
Recap of the game:
Elara and Corval went on exploring below the deep cellar, according to Elara they encounterd a mouse and a big spider in the first, more or less empty cave. they did not explore it fully due to the aforementioned animals.
They also explored two other paths, here finding a huge cave with some fresh air coming from one of its corridors. the other cave was of unknown size, as it contained water from what appeared to be a very cold underwater river. (natural cold, not magic freezing cold)
Bob, Thedor and Imarial went on a Zombie hunt, killing multiple of the bad guys, and in the hunt for undead ran into a another Cultist envoker. While fighting this acid throwing baddie, they also found that he had a pall with him, a cultist guard.
Taking care of the threads, the 3 suffered minimal damage but utterly destroyed their opponents.
lastly bob decided to run in after a zombie in the most north eastern room (deep cellar map) triggering a fire trap. said trap did little damage to him and Thedor (1 each)
The battle over, the heroes started looting and looking around.
They found a map with an odd symbol on it and four blue rings, one that both Elara and Imarial recognized from "something" and Thedor had some ability to translate due to his background with elven stories growing up.
When Imarial, bob and Corval left the room to go search for loot, Elara revealed to Thedor that she had found a piece of parchment with symbols on it, symbols that matched the single symbol on the map.
Placing the two close to each other, the parchment turned transparent, leaving only the symbols on it visible.
By luck Elara aligned one of the symbols with the symbol on the map, and suddenly a new blue ring appeared!
Imarial surprised Elara and Thedor, seeing what they were doing. a lot of discussion broke lose about who knew what, who was in league with who, (here Thedor and Imarial was probably the most offensive, targeting each other )
It all ended with Imarial casting zone of truth, with Thedor being the only one resisting the magic. (only Thedor and Imarial knows that)
After more discussion, were everyone seems to be innocent, (at least of the charges of having sided with the cult) the four (five with Corval) agreed to copy down the map and all the blue rings on it. the map above shows all blue rings as small blue lines, and the four original blue rings as.. well blue rings....
The reason they copy the map is that, even tho it is magic, it is far to brittle to be bend or moved around without a special casing (not a normal map case, but some square case that would protect it from movement)
The loot found was 750 gold, hold by Thedor, who gave Bob 100 of them.
1 Duke or Counts robe (very fine stuff)
1 Fine robe
some of Imarials research.
1 document mentioning Imarials research, but all gibberish and scrambled.
Lastly, People asked if we could do a search of the keep here on the forum, and i agreed to that
In the mean time, you guys can also discuses tactics and plans for the future.
Did i miss anything?

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
Not at all.
This is the list I use:
You gain XP for the following:
Defeating baddies.
Avoiding/surviving traps.
Each game (Doh.. I've forgotten it the last 3 times. that's another 300 XP to each of you - I'll add that to the sheets now)
Role playing (this will be bonus at intervals)
Mile stones (Such as the Cave, and later also for the Keep, but you still need a bit of its area covered)
Random stuff as i see it makes sense...

Hehe... sorry, nope, not unless it proves valuable/gives something... As i do wish to encourage a "don't split the group" feel, yet. traps and ambushes spotted by the explore, and thus avoided still brings XP, to encourage the "scout ahead" disciplinethinkslogically wrote:Oh ok, that's cool. So.. what do you guys want to do next?
You are all in the deep cellar, the caves bellow are off limits for the forum part of the game.

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
Well, I believe we were mid-argument but we know pretty much where we need to go next to find these cult objects. The question is, which ones should we prioritise? We've got the choice of like 25 or something, but the cultists only needed 4 to do their ritual before so we might be on the clock... If I'm right in remembering the ritual, those 4 objects vanished back to where they came from when elara interrupted it. If that means the map locations, it might be best to go back and find those since the cultists already know they can retrieve them (but may not know about the other locations). If they went somewhere else, I guess it doesn't matter really. We know there are bandits in the hills, and the map area spans a bunch of different realms.
At any rate, Elara will say all of this to the others and ask the others their opinions.
Shell try an Int check to see if she can work anything better out IC:
Int check: 1D20 + 2 = [11]+2 = 13

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
I have one written down in my inventory, so if it vanished, I should remove it...
We have a 'travel pass' that would only be good for the current kingdom we are in, provided it's still valid with the Lord of Rakal Keep dead. The mountains though are non-claimed though? I think prioritizing those closest that wouldn't involve trespassing into other kingdoms would be the best place to start.

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
3 of them vanished. Imarial (as far as i remember) got one of them before they "dustified"
I cant remember what one he took, but i can look it up...
Edit: Oh, Spider answered that, it was Imarial:
Edit 2: Aaaand he removed it from his sheet... Spider, can you remember the name of the item... you do indeed still have it...
The situation was that you were the only who could get to any of the objects in time, and had only time to grab one.... the rest of them "turned to dust" and the dust flew to around and "vanished" into thin air...
