"Agreed. Everyone with range target the one furthest to the right initially. Halflin', if you are in earshot some aid from the trees would be welcome."

((From the snake battle you mean? Yes it's within the hour, but you'd have had to use a bonus action when the snake died to transfer the curse to another creature or the spell just ends. That's at least my interpretation of the wording))

The group is largely indecisive about whether to stay or go, but decide to focus their energies on murderising one of the lizards as quickly as possible. Varsk recommends the one on the far right (approximately 60 feet from the group, as the crow flies (over the pond). To get to it and avoid the pond would require about 100 feet of movement).

The lizards grunt and continue to taste the air, swaying their heads back and forth and pawing at the ground.

Korrik is first up.

Yeah, that'll work - roll perception too and we'll see if you hear anything helpful.

On her round: Gwen switches her hex to the right lizard, moves slowly away (but still 30') and ready an eldrich blast at the right lizard if it or it's buddies try to move closer to them.

Korrik sees the rest of the group facing away from him, and notices that Varsk has drawn his weapon... Feeling an impending sense of dread, he overhears snippets of conversation about fighting something and hears noisy snorts.

Gwen switches her hex to the rightmost lizard and backs the hell up, readying an Eldritch blast. The lizards snort but don't move yet...

Varsk is up, then Mehriv and Syli.

Varsk, again, switches weapons to the crossbow and starts backing down the path keeping the lizard in sight. As soon as the lizards (finish) making an aggressive move towards them, or anyone else opens fire, he will fire on the designated target.

"We can probably get a couple of shots in before they get to us, especially if we move away from them."

((Varsk is readying his attack but will wait for them to start moving and close the distance for a better shot - which is 80 feet, if the targeted lizard doesn't enter that range at the end of its move (should it move) he will still shoot.))

Varsk moves 30 feet down the path, following Gwen. The lizards snort and grumble at the party, but don't yet follow.

((Did you want to shoot? It's out of range and has partial cover from the rest of your group so it'll be at disadvantage and -2 to hit)).

Merhiv backs up a little (how far?) and keeps ray of frost readied.

((I am a little unclear on how long I can hold my action but I will continue to hold it if I can in case they become aggressive, otherwise Varsk will simply not shoot. The way I see it he doesn't really get why they haven't already attacked but doesn't want to start a fight if it can be avoided.))

(( you can hold it for a round, so when their turn comes up you can shoot if they trigger your attack. Otherwise it expires at your next turn. I'm not 100% sure if that's how it's meant to work, but it's how I've always interpreted it))

Mehr's moving back in line with Gwen and Varsk (Really I should be behind them, since they're the team's tanks. :p)
