Re: The Sundered Way
Zephyr, having been lost in thought the past day finally breaks her silence, without really caring that perhaps this is not the best time for such things.
She faces the majority of the group and raises her voice so all can hear her.
"I've been thinking"...she lapses into silence momentarily..."The lot of you...human, gnome, dorf and...other" this last remark is made while she waves her hand in the direction of Maji..."You're all very special, in your own unique ways, quite unlike goblins."
"Perhaps rushing ahead, expecting you to back me up as a true pack should...is too much to ask of humans, gnomes, dorfs and dragons....perhaps I've been....too aggressive in my approach. Perhaps the only way I discover what happened to my parents is to make sure that I survive long enough to do so."
(On her movement turn she'll advance in the direction the weeds came.)
She takes a better grip on her sword. "Now, who's with me, let's go kill some weeds."

I also agree with the plan to sit tight for 5 minutes or until something else appears round the corner.

^Zephyr does not agree with that plan, and after giving her speech, will "ease" around the corners of the hallway, looking for something to stab.

Rudy and Ulmwin stay put, while Zephyr pushes her way past Randy.
((Zeph can get between Randy and Holger with her normal movement, you can move further down the hallway towards the blights with a dash action.))

Re: The Sundered Way
As Zephyr goes by, Randy's expression suggests he does not approve of this. He looks rather exasperated, turns his face to the wall, and begins gently knocking his head against it a few times. He then takes a deep breath and goes back to trying to cover the corner ahead, despite the presence of the tiefling.

Re: The Sundered Way
Despite the fears of others, Zephyr doesn't go far, instead stopping between Holger and Randy.
At the far end of the hallway, the bulky form of a vine blight appears, the vines and tendrils of its body writhing.
((Holger, you may take a shot with disadvantage. Randy, you've already used yours on the last twig blight.))

Holger shoots past Zephyr
Holger fire bolt: 2D20.LOW(1)+6 = [8, 18]+6 = 14
Fire bolt damage: 1D10 = [3] = 3

Re: The Sundered Way
The lead vine blight takes Holger's firebolt with a hissing chuckle as the flame goes out and it continues shlumping forward, eventually pressing itself against the wall and losing cohesion as a roughly humanoid figure, the vines clinging and spreading out against the wall, leaving rest of the hallway clear. A second vine blight follows suit, spreading against the opposite wall.

Re: The Sundered Way
You can definitely still see the mass of vines, but being spread out, you're not sure how well you can hit them, even if you manage to hit.

Re: The Sundered Way
Randy stares towards the now flattened vine blights. He slowly nods. "Interesting..." He looks over at Holger. "Didn't you find some high potency booze in one of the store rooms? If it's got enough alcohol in it, we might be able to make fire bombs with it."

Coljin will stay where he is and not clog up the hallway, just keeping watch for anything that might enter his room.
