R.I.P. In Memory of the Lost (Spoilers)

Post by SamWiser » Sun Mar 03, 2013 5:11 pm

So, we had a list of people who had died on the old forum, and I thought it was a good idea. I had some free time so I went through the comic and wrote them all down again. If I missed anybody, please give me a name, and a link to the page where they died. Here you go.

The Unnamed Paladin died on 06/27/05

Sergeant Greyless died on 12/07/08
COWARD died on 08/04/09

Goblinslayer died on 04/12/10 :confetti:

Chief Leader of the Clan of the Cryptic Fall died on 12/17/10 :'(

Mr. Fingers died on 06/03/11 (hopefully)
K'seliss died on 06/07/11
I think this guy's name was Pick's Nose with Ax died on 07/03/12
Tul died on 07/10/12

Klik died on 11/23/12 :'(

Tuck died on 11/30/12
Baka died on 12/14/12

And that's all for now. Hopefully I don't have to add to this list anytime soon.

Thank you very much. I kinda skipped over some of the non-battle parts, so I missed a couple of names.

Before Boulder, Hawl and Targoth the goblin Sticks died, later - several more NPCs
Plenty of dead monsters died escaping Brassmoon's dungeon, including Nail.
Several guards in the dungeon killed by Fluffles and many more by GAP.
Slaves in Vipers' camp, Vipers and Chorgraks.
Biscuit killed several Vipers.

To me it looked like he killed about half of the clan. Compare: before, after.

Yeah, I can't write all of those down. From now on they have to have a name, or have done something awesome. Only a couple of the slaves were given names (at least that I heard), the only one that died was Hava, and most of the names from the Viper Clan we got was from higher ups, and I don't think any of them died. I'll edit in Sticks, but you'll have to give me the names of the monsters (I don't play dnd, so I don't really know what they're called) if you want them put in.

A quick speculation. If I'm not wrong, every time someone has died it showed that that they had reached -10 HP. (At least for main characters, not sure if he did that for the monster battle) I believe that Goblin Slayer is still alive, even after that gruesome attack by Kin due to the fact he never reached to -10 HP.

I think it works different in Coup De Grace.
Anyway, he is most likely dead now.

The dwarf's name was Targoth Bladebeard, not Blackbeard.

Sorry about that. I'll fix his name right now.

About Goblinslayer, he was burned to a crisp, hit in the face with a table, and stabbed multiple times. Until I see proof otherwise, I'm calling it.

You are wrong though. -10 is never shown for people who were killed instantly, and that's happened quite a few times. not to mention that he was in negatives and then Kin stabbed him like 100 times.

There is a precident of people dying without the -10. I believe that both Saral Caine and Sergeant Greyless died without a -10 that I saw. It could be argued that Baka shouldn't be on here, but come on. He shouldn't be alive anyway, so he's here until I see otherwise.

Goblin slayer stabilised (they say as much when he's on the ground) when kin goes stresspsychosis in him and staps him many, many, many times in the throat... he's dead.
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

I kinda wish Goblinslayer was alive so he could be killed again, slower and much more painfully.

I liked yours better, but I figured a bad topic is better than no topic. You can take it over if you want.

I honestly can't recall what could have made mine better. Yours even has them by date.

I'll offer input though if I have any if you'd like!

You had the paragraph describing Goblinslayer that I liked. Other than that if I missed any in the Battle of Wonder, or the Viper battles then those would be helpful.

I don't think I wrote that, actually. I think I pulled that from the posts with names people were offering. I made a few quips for various characters and did one for chief though.

Updated for Psimax, though I'll edit it if needed depending on what may happen next.
