Maji sighs as he starts carrying the twig blight. At the very least this one can be used as impromptu fire. He looks around for the others (but not where zephyr is)

Randy: Your foot catches in a dead twig blight and you stumble to the end of the hallway with a clatter. Down the hallway, you see that it ends in a caved in section, with a doorway to the left, presumably connecting to the larger room.

Maji: You collect some tinder from the three dead twig blights in this intersection. ((All together, you can consider this an additional bundle of wood.))

Randy will proceed down the hall to the other door and look into the room from there.

"Sounds great, but I'm not here to steal credit from where it's due. I'm sure some other heroic deed will present itself before the day is over. Besides I can always say I swooped in and saved the noble Rudolph after he got overpowered by the blights. Shall we take a look below or follow the rest before they grab all the best gnome stuff around here?"

Rudolph goes and retrieves the floating light source.

Randy: You proceed to the end of the hallway, and looking through the door, see a relatively large room, strewn about with some remnant bits of furniture, but overall covered in the filth and debris you've seen previously in the blight midden heaps. Cracked bones stripped of their marrow, hair, fur, cloth, bits of metal, and teeth of various animals, all of the less edible parts to creatures. The majority of the pile is towards the back of the room, in which is set a wooden door, broken and hanging, beyond which you can see a mound of stone that has collapsed into the room beyond.

Rudy: You reclaim your orb, as you grasp it, you feel weight return to it as it settles into your palm.

Ulmwin will track the others down the left hallway, just to be close should there be problems...

Ulmwin: You head down and catch up with Rudy.

((Maji, you have a torch out? Otherwise you're alone in the dark.))

Randy calls over to the others. "Room's clear. Let's check it out."

((Are you checking it out then? If so, let me know what you're doing, and give me an appropriate roll (likely Investigation).))

Zephyr and Coljin see Randy enter through the far doorway.

Randy: You spend some time sifting through the debris, coming across a heavy cloth pouch containing 280 copper, 140 silver, and 20 gold. You also find a flat wooden box, the surface scratched and battered, but intact, and by all indications, still locked. You also find, passed through the metallic remnants of some sort of over the back holster, a wooden javelin, the metal of the point continued in two silver bands that spiral back down its length, meeting at the far end. It is of fine craftsmanship, and has a good weight and balance in your hand.

((Randy has only looked over a portion of the room, a few more of you can make Investigation checks as well.))

Maji dropped his torch, so he chases after the light, not wanting to be eatten by grues or blights.

Maji: You hurry to catch up with the others.

Rudy: You poke around a bit and find 70 copper and 50 silver strewn about the floor.

For no particular reason, Ulmwin decides to investigate this new room as well.

Investigation: 1D20 = [18] = 18

Maji looks around, making sure there are no blights around. Per; investigation : 1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10
1D20-1 = [4]-1 = 3

(The previous two rolls had invalid roll on it, so i rolled the whole thing again

Maji: Definitely no blights, just a room full of garbage.

Ulmwin: You happen on a small chest, broken open with coins spoiling out. It takes a while to get an estimate, but there is 270 copper, 140 silver, and 80 copper gold. In the bottom of the chest you find a gold ring worked in an overlapping feather motif.

Maji will sift theough the garbage to find anything useful. (Do you want me to roll again?)

Coljin, excited about finding his mace and then checking out the adjoining hallway, is a little late to the party when I comes to searching, but he will still take a look about. He will walk into the doorway of the room with the collapsed mound of rocks and search whatever area he can safely get at.

Investigation: 1D20 = [18] = 18

((Thanks for pointing that out Theis, I was wondering the same, but was wondering how to bring it up just in case without sounding like a greedy bastard. :P

Also, Spider, it hasn't been an hour since Ulmwin cast detect magic, right? Any magic on the ring, if so?))

Rather content with his find, Ulmwin stores away the contents of the box- Either to distribute later among the group, or to keep for himself... Depending on what any final arrangements might be.

If Ulmwin's detect magic is still operational, Randy will show him the javelin.

Randy takes a little closer look at the box.

Investigation: 1D20+1 = [10]+1 = 11 :meh: It's a box and it's locked. Captain Obvious strikes again! :chuckle:
