Varsk pushes back a bit more into the tree foliage, mildly surprised the lizard didn't just shoot them. He whispers to the group:
"Figure the disguise worked. We got any way of gettin' our folks that can speak Draconic out there in a disguise? Or some way of tellin' red what to say? Otherwise I say we got about a minute before thin's get hot for them."

((I'm giving the rest of you guys the benefit of the doubt and assuming you're trying to be somewhat quiet, but I'll need stealth rolls if you move))
To Gwen:
"What do you mean you don't know? Did you just wake up in it or something?"

Just hold ground. Movement is what draws attention.

Gwen nods. "Yes."

The guard doesn't seem to know what to make of that.
"...But why... You know what, forget it. Take it off and show us your marks."
Another lizard climbs out of the tree with a throwing net draped over its shoulder.
"The hell is going on? Who are you?"

How far away are the other party members? And do I see any marks on the lizards in front of me?

((You're about halfway across the rope bridge, so the others are hidden a precarious 70-80 feet behind you. Except Korrik, he's behind you.))
Both lizards have a red claw painted across their chests, and seem to have a air of blue bands painted around their upper left arms. The second one also has dark spots painted underneath each eye.

Gwen knows that this won't last long, she can't copy thier markings or they would know she is not one of them. She also can't make up a new one for she might get it wrong. And she can't take off her dress, they would find out she has no tail. Which leaves a different option.
She tells Korrik <Prepare to fight.>
Gwen freezes for a bit and puts her finger to her lips and makes a 'shh' noise. Below them they hear a CRACK of a branch. (mirror illusion)

Both lizards are now confused by what is happening and look to see what the sound was.

"I'm gonna pretend to get loose, if you chase, they may follow!"
I throw off the rope and scurry back, waving the others to get out of sight.
"You'll never get me, you nasty savages!"

Gwen chases after Korrik.

"Who the hell is that!?"
Korrik turns to make a break for it. The guard looses his nocked arrow, and another arrow flies from a hidden archer in the tree the guard came out of, but it is wildly off-target.
Shortbow attack (against half cover): 1D20+2 = [15]+2 = 17
Shortbow damage: 1D6+2 = [6]+2 = 8
Shortbow attack (against cover from stealth): 2D20.HIGH(1)+2 = [4, 1]+2 = 6
The lizard with the net turns angrily to Gwen:
"Explain! Now!"
But she's already running.
"Sound the alarm! Two Intruders!"
A horn blasts twice from the tree. You can now see two lizard folk in the tree and two at the end of the bridge.
((I've treated the lizards as having readied actions since they were on alert))

((They're on a tightrope style bridge, so anything needing 2 hands or weapon swinging is going to need DEX checks, but yeah, it's possible. The bridge is about 20 off the ground I think I said))

Ray of Frost on the visible archer (Readied action):
AC=13, Damage=6
Well, good news is that if they try to come at us they have to do so in single-file, which is ideal for Fire Breath. Bad news is that they're probably prepared for attacking the ground from up here, so they'll have plenty of range.

I focus on dodging their arrows, and retreat a bit more carefully.

((what the range on ray of frost?))
Also, I'll take readied actions from Mehriv and Merric first, but let's have initiative rolls from everyone

((ok, so wrt RoF, they're 120 feet away on the other side of the bridge. Do you want to try and get to them or wait for them to maybe follow? As it stands, they're well put of range.))
