Your description of the skill earlier implies that the first level can work only against attacks. So there is always a fixed 20% chance to evade an attack, only levels of Dodge beyond first can be customized to work on a single other type of damage instead and that customization is permanent. Is it so?

Yes, sorry for the vague description. First level of most skills (except for movement) are kind of weak, but can be customized later onto be more universal.

Customization is permanent in the sense that you cannot change your choice within a round. However, if for example you decide that your level 2 dodge as 20% dodge attacks + 20% dodge traps would be better as 20% dodge mines + 20% dodge traps (and you give up the initial attack dodge), you can swap it around. You could also swap it for a single 25% dodge chance, if you think so. (Dodge rates go up, as a dice goes: 20%, 25%, 33%, 50%, if you decie to level up the efficiency instead.)

In that case Stumbles picks Warning and Dodge and equips Dodge.

Turn 16

Oh See That Shiny and Blitz Craig finishes off the zombie. It drops the arrow which was shot by No-legs before. Blitz gains 5XP, Shiny 2XP, No-Legs 1XP.
Stumbles around tries to lure the guardian, and semi-succeeds. The guarian pays attention to him, but somehow is not willing to leave the circle. Stumbles flags J7.
Tries-and-Dies runs a curve, exploring a 3 in the process. He has no time to bind the guardian, but it has moved away anyway. +1XP
Flags Mines flags L7.
Goska Bluey jumps to G8.
No-Legs jumps to E7. There is a small flash of light, and the column behind her shatters, and topples on her, dealing 3 damage. She also discovers a 1. +1XP
Flags Fuses marks D1.

The hammer guardian on the top moves down a tile, slowly.

The music stops again. The two figures on the edge of the map shrug, then disappear.

Turn 17

Stumbles around tries to lure the guardian again, but it is not willing to leave the circle this time either, and the circle is not touching H7 below. Stumbles steps over to H8, uncovering a 3. +1XP
Tries-and-Dies runs around the tiles, finding a 1 on F5. The guardian on the top takes a step down and turns towards him. +1XP
Flags Fuses walks over to B1, finding a 1. +1XP
Blitz Craig moves northwards to H9, revealing a 1. +1XP
Flags Mines runs to L8, which is a 2. +1XP
No-Legs shoots the guardian, which is now on G6, but her arrow alone cannot seem to penetrate the armor and is now stuck in the guardians helmet. At least it didn't break.
Goska Bluey would gladly pull the guardian on H6, but it is out of range, so she tries to pull the guardian on G6 instead. She manages to bind it, but the heavily armored thing won't move only by her force...

Oh See That Shiny sleeps.

This is getting complicated. Tries jumps to I6.

Also description says Flags Mines went to K8 while he is actually on L8.

Yeah, I'm a little confused about that. I said I was going to run to L8, then double back to K8. Did I do that, or are you not allowed to double back in one turn?

You can not turn around while running. It's in the description of the skill.

@ Goska: Would you like to pick up the flag on G7 and allow Stumbles to join you on G8, using the lure gloves on the guardian you tied up?
@ Tries: do you want to run and explore F4? In that case I could have Stumbles declare rescue on you. It's out of the circle anyways, so we can't use it to dispose/damage a guardian, anyways.

If Goska agrees to this plan, Stumbles will lure the guardian on G6 and step over to G8 himself.
If Goska doesn't agree, Stumbles will step to H7 and try to stay out of reach of the guardian on H6 (is activating dodge possible?).
Stumbles, in any case, declares rescue on Tries.
