Just in case updates of this game resume in the next week:
Somewhat important note (see my signature, also):
I'll have only limited Internet access from 27th Oct. to 1st Nov.
I will try to keep on reading and posting here, and in all my other games, but if it looks like I can't make it in time for any updates, please let the co-players vote for my char's actions and/or put my char in semi-intelligent automatic mode. (i.e. not have them stand around drooling when hostiles approach and get killed by inaction.)

i'm fumbling over a new post, so i apologize for the delays. splitting the group and losing some players [temporarily{?}] has thrown a wrench in my thought process and i still have to kill off one of the remaining npcs.

Its coming, just...delayed lol

I've been thinking, and I realize that without preparing some extra content ahead of time it will be a bit difficult for me to handle group splits well, so for the time being i'm going to put the game on hold till i have more ready than the storyline nikohl's managed to get into. I do wish to continue, but I want it to be a steady game. I can adapt on the fly if I have enough content ready, and I have my main plot to work with too, but I need enough side plot to string out, too!

Thanks for the heads-up.

I'm here and willing, if you're considering starting back up.

I would probably be up for starting it up again, too. Though, maybe restart since it's been so long? It'd be interesting to start with fresh characters.

I would be for starting it back up again. A restart wouldn't be bad either since its been so long; might be able to preserve a PC or two even if it were desired rather than a 100% reset. I'm open to input from anyone who wants to pick it back up with me. In the mean time i'm going to reread some of the content to refresh my memory on the world I had going. I'll probably rework a little of it, but that'll mostly be stuff that never saw the light of day.

As to how i'm doing, i'm doing well now. I'm finally in a good place in my life and out of the problems i was dealing with before.

I'd be cool with a reset....besides, I don't know if we lost any characters but we could potentially gain some to fill that gap.

If possible, I would like to keep Lauren, she's got some spirit. :D

I would probably want to start over. I can barely remember the character, or my motivations for him/her.

That would be totally fine I believe. Will it work for you if she goes through the just entering the world phase again, or did you have something in mind? I could even retcon/adjust a few things a little to let her be one of the new "welcome party" that doug and the old npc crew represented...minus the high odds of death early on xD

ALSO!

Reboot recruitment thread is up since I was getting a pretty solid "reset" set of answers so far. All old members get an automatic slot, though i've lowered the cap before a waiting list to 6. I explained it there, but basically I'll take new players too, but once I have 6 players I won't take any more new players; they'll be on a waiting list. Old players will simply be allowed to join in excess of the limit.

One more thing... and I dunno if I will like the answer:

Has anyone heard anything from beandip? Last post was about the cancer stuff and looking at other doctors... and that was two years ago. I'm hoping for the best but kinda bracing myself =/

She sadly passed away during the time. She got a special title to symbolise that. Still miss her though :/

I would have liked to join but I don't have time to participate in more games as it is now.

I'd like to keep Brigitte, since she's actually a version of a character I've played in various different settings - I like seeing what she ends up doing in different worlds!

I would've been up for a continuation rather than a restart but generally I don't mind either way.

I'm fine either way (restart or continuation).
And I can also have Lauren re-enter the world again or be already an "experienced" raptor, both sounds fun. Whatever suits you/your story better.

I just posted in the recruitment thing because I forgot we'd got an OOC...derp

As I said over there - it's kind of a shame that we'll lose what we already achieved. I mean, Lauren and the main group had taken down the trike, Brigitte had survived an encounter with a pair of hostile raptors, Alex had befriended a handful of minis (Alex isn't coming back, but still.) I'm sure we'll have plenty of new adventures with a restart, but I'm going to miss the progress we'd made a bit.

I think last time round, everyone took the lead that the first poster set out with their intro and had their characters black out/die/etc so they could wake up as raptors. But not all the characters were mid-death or at least mid-nasty-situation - iirc, Anoki had just hit the jackpot on a slot machine in the casino where she worked last time, and this time round the little kid was at her birthday party.

Yup, as Nikohl said, death isn't required. You're just kinda snatched away from a given moment and... then you're a raptor. I've got a nifty backstory worked out for it, even, that I plan to give you guys through the rp.

Death is just one possible way to end up getting to where you guys are, but its not THE way. For the most part it just happens...and since no one sees what happens after who is with you now, no one can say what actually happened to you beyond what you see now.

Small in game boon if you can guess at Gilroy's past life; the more accurate, the better the reward. I think I'll call em Hoff Tokens :D
