I think I will get out of this game. The thing is that I won't really be able to play for the summer, beginning at the end of may, and I don't want to leave at after two weeks of play. Maybe for another time!

This game seems interesting, and I like the Warhammer 40k universe.

I have no experience with any D&D rules, etc but would be willing to just pick up Reirrac's pre-made character (with some cosmetic changes like name, height and weight).

That is if the game isn't already dead...

I was planning on Specializing in Medic and we had that Veteran Stuff. How much experience was that?

Edit: Ok, I looked into it and modified some stats for the Medic thing. Now I just have to spend the 1500exp. How do aptitudes work. Do I already have to possess the skill or just the "Starting Aptidudes"?

I guess I can help with that. You spend XP to improve attributes, skills, and get new feats. Post what you have as your character so far and I can give you ideas of upgrades to purchase and their cost.

Ok, here is my character with the Exp spent.

For people with access to the books, what you do to spent the exp is find the Starting aptitudes on your Specialist section, and add General to that, since everyone gets that. Then looks through the characteristic, skill, and talent advances and see what you want to buy. There is a list in each Specialist section that recommends some things, but you are not limited to that. You spend however much on that advancement depending on whether you possess the correct aptitudes. Having both is the best, as you spend the least amount of Exp on those.

If people need, I can post the stuff they get from whatever specialist class they wanted to be. The Basic Guardsmen Specialties are Heavy Gunner, Medic, Operator(As in, Vehicle or Tech Operator), Sergeant, and Weapon Specialist. I don't think we can be any of the Support Specialists, but here's a list of them as well: Commisar(Leader, enforces moral with Iron fists and Bolt Pistol), Ministorum Priest(Leader, runs around with Chainsword), Ogryn(Big Ogre Thing, Shock Troop), Ratling(Little Rat Thing, Sniper/Infiltrator), Sanctioned Psyker(Psychic Wizard, Dangerous to Everybody), Storm Trooper(Elite Troop, usually alongside Commissars), and Techpriest Enginseer(Cyborg Mechanic).

You forgot to factor in our -1 wounds for being from a hive world and your Heavy Weapon of choice. For that, you choose from the Missile Launcher, Heavy Stubber, or our Regimental Favored Heavy Weapon, the Heavy Bolter.
