My Friday's start at 5 am, and include lab, office hours, lecture and a 5 hour shift at the second job this semester, so my forum time is dependent on how much free time I find in between things during the day... I'll spin that as Ah'sereen keeping the shadows and observing.

Sure, my schedule is similarly variable to be honest. Some days I'm mostly just sitting around watching paint dry codes run and other days I don't get a break at all :) The last couple of days have involved more of the coding but we're starting to swing back round the other way a bit. Eh. We'll see :)

Well Warryn is still definitely in the Maze, and according to the con artist, not too far away. She mentioned the room of stairs being close by. So we could meet back up fairly soon, provided we don't miss each other.

Oh yeah, I forgot she said that! Warryn wasn't there for that bit though, so he has no idea how far away he is. He's just trying to get away from that stupid bird and those damn ghosts!

And seeing how you guys have three doors to choose from, and me two, there's a pretty good chance we'll just miss each other entirely no matter what. Maybe if I stumble across the dragon-lady she can point me in the right direction

Can Warryn see which route leads to the others?

Not any more easily than he could before. If you try to reach them I'll use the perception check you already rolled, but I thought I'd wait and see if you had other plans now that your "buddies" have shown up :)

Oh right, I forgot Warryn was invisible- We're obviously not going to be spotting that.

So I was just looking through the Players Handbook when I noticed Fighters get an extra ASI/Feat option at Lv6 and Lv14 compared to the other classes. But when I look at Art's character sheet he only has the Lv4 stat increase, and no feats. Am I missing something, or did you not realise there was a Lv6 ASI, NotStickFigures?

(Also, is there a shorter name I can call you? Not? Stick? )

I just realised our group is really lacking in the "face" department. Our highest CHA characters are Sereen (13) and Warryn (12) - both of whom are sneaky and want to hide in the back most of the time. Oh well, at least our Deception is pretty good

(Speaking of CHA, I think you messed up your CHA skills a little, Mort? Shouldn't Persuasion be only +3, and the rest +0?)

Oops, yeah, you're right- I accidentally added the save value from my class twice to all of them. Fixed.

Sticks if fine, Dusk. Or I'll answer to whatever you call me.
Oh, Yeah, I sure did miss that on the character!
Thanks When I get home tonight I'll do some rules searching and make the needed changes. Thanks!
I'm surprised I didn't screw more up, heh.

I'll try to catch up a little latter. I just spent awhile exercising "verbal jujitsu" with a rather angry vet. Situation under control now.

@Sticks:

Basically, it seems like the painting needs the light of a full moon to activate the portal. When she turned the painting around, she cut off the moonlight and closed it.

That makes perfect sense and somehow I mis-read that or missed it.

So it sounds like this snake-lady is gonna attack the 4th person to enter the room no matter what we do. And there are five of us.

Which I guess means our options are either 1) fight her, 2) split up, or 3) avoid the room entirely and find another route.

(My vote goes for 1, I want to Fireball something  )

Option 4: trick a character we don't like or an npc to go through the room

Also OOCly, we should probably ask ourselves whether the guy that just passed through there counts towards the limit and if so do groups entering count as "one" or is Stick about to be eaten.

Great, now I'm imagining that 'roided up Stoat dancing through the room

It would probably have attacked by now if it registered Art as the 4th to enter, so let's assume it refreshes for each group. We could maybe see if Familiar's count, and sacrifice either Erik or Dain's cat? Problem is I doubt Warryn or Dain would be prepared to give them up for the good of the group.

Dain would likely fire off a spell of some sort first. Or just go another way.

Updating now I've found them all

I figured out, I think, what I want for my missed stat increase/feat.
Lucky.
The one thing I'm unsure of, when it says I can have an enemy attack re-roll another 20, is that after I have seen the outcome, or must I state I want two rolls before the posting and die is shown?

For my rolls I understand I can re-roll on attacks or saves if they are bad and get a second one at that point.

For your own skill checks / saves / attacks, I read it that you can spend the luck point after you've seen the roll, but before I tell you what it means.

To influence an attack against you, I read it that you can wait until you see the outcome, but it will cost a luck point simply to roll the second dice. Otherwise, the wording about choosing whether to force it to use the original roll or yours is stupid (why would you ever keep a higher roll if you didn't have to?).

Does that work for you?
