I was shooting to get to 5D of the open arena, if rows are numbered and columns are lettered, back pressed against the wall in the middle of the arena.

Jakar moves 2 squares NE diagonally, then up 1 square (20ft total). If he sees anything at any point, he stops.

((Yeah, looks good I think. You throw with DEX + prof; Damage is +STR. So yes, +5 in each case I believe))

(SRD says you throw with the same stat as you would melee, so a thrown dagger is dex but a thrown axe is strength. I think that means javelin is strength, too?

I didn't add the proficiency bonus because I thought we had to earn it in this game.)

((All melee weapons, thrown or otherwise, use STR for all modifiers, unless they are Finesse weapons, in which case you can use either STR or DEX. The only melee weapon that can be thrown with DEX (as a Finesse weapon), are daggers. Handaxe, Javelin, Light Hammer, Spear, and Trident all use STR.))

((Ah! Then never mind! I thought we got the +2 proficiency from our classes though right? I thought the proficiencies we had to earn were for unusual, very specific things (like beating someone with a dead animal)). Did I get that wrong?)

Chicken team:

All but Karn blasts the poor bird with magic with so many energy types that you can hardly recognize the chicken afterwards as it lies motionless on the ground.

Karn throws the javalin at the chicken with all his power, striking it at the tail? Huh, maybe not just an ugly chicken after all. It screeches at Karn and flies straight at him and another screech is heard behind the wall before a third bird like creature flies out of cover and straight at Martin. Both the bird things are pecking at the two people in question, Martin nimbly manages to dodge the bird while Karn is surprised by the ferocity as it starts pecking at his eyes.

Bort follows Viskek before Viskek actually moves, how it works, no one knows but Bort is just stupid enough to defy the laws of turn orders. Jakar moves up next to the wall and gets a good look at the enemy. At the same time, Rez seems to get a feeling that some part of him resonates very well with what is behind the wall. What Jakar sees are three mushroom men, granted one of them looks more like a child, being half the size.

Jakar got 15 ft of movement left and an action. There won't be any interruption between Jakar and Viskek.

ETA: You're saying a 17 (assuming I do have the proficiency bonus) wasn't good enough to hit it? It's a Displacer Chicken or something?
