Gwen in her current state ignores the attempts of Merhiv trying to get away from her and clings onto him tightly.

(hah! i like how the farmer is no help once so ever)

((hey, Gwen can do Gwen. If that's how she would react right now, then go ahead. Remember that Korrik already disapproves of the "relationship" between Gwen and Mehriv)).

"Whoo," Syli looks inside her cup. "This is nice. Not as strong as the rotgut ol' Urkish would brew up, but it's not fighting me all the way down."

She then glances up at Gwen apparently trying to get extra job benefits, and shakes her head.

((Sure - Whatever you feel like having her do is completely fine. I'm deliberately trying to keep the mechanical effects of alcohol largely separate from the behavioural ones so the choice of what she does while tipsy is left up to you guys))

((Unless dlover wants to have Mehriv respond to Gwen first...))

The gnome farmer eventually returns to the kitchen with his son in tow, rolling a half-size barrel with him. The side of the barrel is stamped with "DOGWOOD MEADOW MEAD / Special Reserve".

"Well, here we are! The promised payment for a finished job. I know this might not all have gone how you liked, but I can't tell you what a relief it's going to be to not have to worry about losing any more hives.

Now, this here is the good stuff, so don't try drinking it all at once."

He gives Gwen another grin and a wink, while his son helps himself to a generous slice of pie and wanders back out with a grunt.

What do you guys want to do next?

I have me some, enjoying the food and the relatively dry, if overly large, shirt.

((What does it look like outside? The storm moved off, does it look like weather's decent to head back to town now?))

You can hang around until it passes, it probably won't last more than another 30 minutes or so.

Mehr gives a withering look at the suggestion to 'take it up with HR,' "I am HR."
Mehr's willing to wait on the rain to stop, since they still have plenty of time to reach the ship, spending the time trying to evade Gwen's attentions, though prioritising avoiding damaging anything in the farmer's house.

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

I return Mehriv's glare with a smirk. "I know."

I return to my delicious pie and bread. Mehr helped her launch this ship, he can damn well be the one to row it back into port.

Gwen slips her grip on Merhiv a bit, holding his arm while waiting on the storm.

By the time the storm passes, it is around 4.30pm and Gwen's buzz is on it's way out.

I don't believe you have any outstanding business to take care of in town. If I remember right, Bren at the Dancing Minstrel Inn knows to hold your rooms for you until you return, and that you won't be using them tonight, and Otherwise, Otho is probably waiting for you back at the store, assuming he didn't burn it to the ground by accident. You just have to be at the docks by dawn tomorrow morning and ready to begin the trip upriver.

Have I forgotten anything?

We should deliver the mean barrel to Otho to sell, as well as telling Bren that we're leaving town for a while, but other than that I can't think of any tasks Mehr has to deal with.

As Gwen buzz starts to wear off her smile slowly turns to a frown. She still clutches Merhiv's arm but more out of emotional support than anything else, looking distant as they walk. Halfway there she admits her guilt.

"It's all my fault. I should have done more. I ssshould have tried talking both down and instead I made things worst. She wouldn't ran from us, so stupid. I'm better than this. I made her dumb so she wouldn't see illusion. That's why dumb enough to go home. It's all my fault Merhiv, Syli, Korrik,
others... I should have messed with her senses instead. Then wouldn't be able to go home. And when I saw her I just killed her. I killed her and it's all my fault sshe'ss dead. I am too dan-dangerous."

"It'sss why I like illusions.They can't kill."
