Re: The Sundered Way

((I deleted a previous post where I said I'd made a mistake, but that was a mistake. Tess's 60 ft dark vision is enough to allow her to clearly see the low stone wall, and maybe a bit of the body nearest here within the red area. Everything else would be beyond her 60' darkvision, and thus still dim light, which her Perception of 4 isn't enough to make out much at all.))

((Glad you like Ily. Hope Holger doesn't cast fireball on himself.))

Okies. Do I need to re-roll stealth or does the last roll count since the eagle-eyed skeleton is dead?

PS bramble and Rusty better be ok! ((Not that I have any reason to suspect they're not of course :P))

((You've not taken an action to have broken stealth, so your previous one will suffice for anyone who you managed to hide from. It's possible the drag marks you followed were that of a mule being hauled down here... but no one passed you dragging a mule... though you did explore a dead end for 20 minutes or so...))

Ok sweet. She'll move up the wall 30 feet and then see what she can see from there.

Tess: You see more of the pit or depression... now that you can see more, it looks sort of like a fountain, but without any sort of water feature... or water for that matter. In fact, it seems to have dead bodies in it. You can make out a few humanoids... and a horse? Beyond the skeleton standing by the last brazier on this side is a gong or some sort, and there is some sort of snake statue in the corner of the room. In the middle are steps leading up to some sort of raised dais.

((You still have an Action.))

Ok, she'll bonus dash north, then ready an action to return fire if the skeleton up there shoots at her. Otherwise, she doesn't want to break cover.

Zephyr runs up, pulls out her javelin, and hurls it at the zombie in front of Maji, where it punches through its rotting flesh and falls out the back side.

Zephyr: Javelin: 1D20+5 = [10]+5 = 15
Zephyr: Javelin damage: 1D6+3 = [5]+3 = 8

Coljin will move 25 feet east, then shoot his crossbow at the zombie that is pretty much north of him, not the one in melee with Maji.

Xbow attack: 1D20+3 = [5]+3 = 8

((Go ahead and roll damage... Zombies are really easy to hit (sorry Burns ;) ). You'd also end up going in front or behind of Zephyr to get as far over as you can with your 25, which would you prefer? You'd end up adjacent by either her front or back corner.))

Back of Zephyr, and I didn't think I hit!

Coljin: You shoot off the zombie's pinkie finger, but it doesn't seem to notice or care.

Image

The zombie nearest Randy shuffles to the other side of the brazier, and swings a fist at him, but his armor takes the blow easily.

Zombie Slam: Randy: 1D20+3 = [5]+3 = 8

The zombie that Maji pulled the pants off of clobbers him in the snoot, and the one that Coljin just shot shuffles over to attack the giant lizard of a druid as well, but swings past his head.

Zombie Slam: Maji: 1D20+3 = [17]+3 = 20
Zombie Slam: Maji: damage: 1D6+1 = [2]+1 = 3
Zombie Slam: Maji: 1D20+3 = [5]+3 = 8

The fourth zombie lumbers quickly towards Ulmwin and Holger.

Ily clings to Holger's shoulder.

Let's have Ily jump down now and sneak to the right-side wall.

Sneak: 1D20+4 = [7]+5 = 12

Great job buddy.

"How hey now pal! Back off, will ya?"

Ulmwin takes a couple steps back, before hitting with a dissonant whispers.

((That's a wisdom save, yes? What's your DC?))

Zombie Save: 1D20 = [3] = 3

((Pretty sure your DC is better than that!))

The zombie shakes its head in pain, a withered bit of dry flesh rattling against its cheekbone. It turns and shuffles away from that awful bard and his bad sounds.

Randy swings at the zombie, while winding up PW again.

Randerwaith: You fan the zombie lightly with your blade(s).

((Just a reminder, both your offhand attack and your Planar Warrior feature use your bonus action, so you can do one or the other, not both.))

The two skeletons nearest the far end of the room both fire on Maji, both arrows punching through his scaly hide. ((You should be at 5 HP in your giant lizard form.))

Skeleton Shortbow: Maji: 1D20+4 = [16]+4 = 20
1D20+4 = [14]+4 = 18

Skeleton Shortbow: Maji damage: 1D6+2 = [6]+2 = 8
1D6+2 = [1]+2 = 3

The skeleton near the upper right brazier fires on Zephyr, but she tosses up her shield and it scatters wide.

Skeleton Shortbow: Zephyr: 1D20+4 = [3]+4 = 7

A final arrow drops out of the darkness into Ulmwin, burying itself in his side.

Skeleton Shortbow: Ulmwin: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [9, 12]+4 = 16
Skeleton Shortbow: Ulmwin damage: 1D6+2 = [4]+2 = 6

Maji clenches his teeth and makes a loud hissing sound as he starts to get irrate (going into rage) he bites at a zombie caring only for the undeads' demise.
Rage bite: 1D20+4 = [12]+4 = 16
1D8+4 = [6]+4 = 10
hey I hit something!

Edit: I forgot to specify a target. The zombie that hurt maji the most

Maji: Getting a bit irritated now, you rage and chomp into zombie that you only got rotten clothes of before, latching on and tearing a chunk from its abdomen. Dry dusty entrails spill out.

Holger: You fire off a bolt of fire, but the skeleton easily avoids the hit, clattering its teeth in your direction.
