Vampire: The Masquerade (OOC)

Post by Runsaround » Tue Apr 19, 2016 6:44 am

The IC is up, so go in and post! I just thought I'd tell you that you ought to add a few details missed in char creation (A basic description, etc) before we hit the meat of the game. Tea, I hope you're still here. :P

So how are we going to be dealing with disciplines as we didn't stat them out?

I just need some confirmation on a couple of specialisations I wasn't certain on:
2: Acrobatic (Muscle 2? Nerves?)
3: Impressionism/Acting (Face 3? 2?)
I'm not sure whether Acrobatic would count as a Muscle or Nerves specialisation, and I'm not sure whether Impressionism would be specific enough for rank 3 or 2 of Face.

Character copied from signups, for my convenience:

My game:
Hunters of Letrua; Character list
Also Player / Monster stats, skill lists.

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

Impressionism is +3. Acrobatic could be either, muscle for jumps, flips, and nerve for balance.

Cool, it started! Yay! Runsaround, could you please include our chars in spoilers in each post? This would be very nice. :)
Let's see where the story leads to.

Oh, about the disciplines. Auspex and Obfuscate will affect things mostly passively, giving a bonus to stealth and perception, as well as Auspex being usable to break illusions and perceive magic and Obfuscate being "Flex"-able to do things from change one's appearance to completely disappear in shadows. Note that neither these nor the other "Magic" disciplines (Animism, Dementation) but Quietus does.

When I've ironed it all out I'll add it to the OP.

Ah, right. And Chimerstry counts as a "magic" discipline?

Thanks for that, though the "secret" probably won't last overlong. Any vampire with some wits to them should recognise what Merrin did isn't just a trick. And as far as I know, there's nothing except Chimerstry for deception.

It's been quiet, but in case anything happens over the next two days there's a pretty good chance I'll be away from the computer. Then I'll be back. If the dialogue's continuing feel free to skip over me, to help things move along until I return. Croaker is not very likely to be that verbose at the moment anyway.

Now I'm back. Doesn't look like it's stopped being quiet.

Quick sketch while I figure out what Croaker's anti-sunlight outfit actually consists of (well,...besides covering every bit of potentially exposed flesh with at least one layer of material). I'm working on turning this into a more developed version.... but I don't expect that that will take any amount of short time to finish (if I don't get fed up and restart.) Thusfar: cowl, mask (still needs work), gloves, boots, jeans (or something similarly sturdy, which I'm considering not having to try sticking tucked into the boots), t-shirt, and possibly a spare scarf not being used as the cowl.

Foreleg perspective, I see you. You need adjusting.
