GAL: Q4 - Completed (please move eventually)

After Robert gave his rousing speech and selected a few "Brave" looking goblins from the group, he told them where to go and the group set off. As fate would have it, the tower in the swamp of horrible evil was actually only a few miles from the human town and the group quickly found themselves staring at the Tower in the distance.

As the group approached the tower through the swamp of horrible evil, they found quickly that it was very poorly named as the only enemy they found were tree-rabbits which were cuddly, soft and harmless. A few hours later, they found themselves standing beside the lonely mountain in the middle of the swamp of horrible evil in which the tower set upon, seeing no other way to enter but a small cave entrance, the group entered and the shenanigans began.

Tells begin to move into the next area to the left of him (Dont know if it left or right to go further into the cave?). "I cant wait to use some of my jokes on this wizard just you watch I'll have him laughting in no time"

[spoil]I should have probably mentioned before, but anything my ex-players have that provides a 'temporary' effect has a duration decided at the current GM's discretion. Badge - PM me if you want to know how I was using them, but there's no reason for their effects to be consistent between GMs as far as I'm concerned >:D[/spoil]

Since they are gonna be sneaking about in caves, Laughs uses a minor action to shape his beard into something more suited for stealth. He will then move to the right (I'm basing L-R on screen, not on position of character, as that can vary. This should mean he's going in the same direction as the others, if I read their actions correctly. I'm assuming the small entry on the left is where we entered...)

[spoil]Oh..my apologies for not making that obvious, sorry, you entered from the left and moving right will take you deeper into the mountain, there is nothing to the left except for outside, freedom, escape..etc.

(Not to worry though, when people said where they want to move I'm assuming deeper into the cave...I will fix this so that the picture shows what I'm talking about.)

Okay, I posted a new image for the goblins in the cave, Also, please notice your softer colors.....as long as you know who you are it shouldn't be a problem in my opinion. Also, i made it quite clear which way is outside. :D[/spoil]

If they run into anything hostile (in reach): Poke it with the pointy stick.

(Just to be clear: hostile means - in this case - they would/do attack us, first.)

Soars will move deeper into the caves staying behind the main group since he doesn't have an actual weapon yet.

(Also Badge I meant to leave the Pirate map behind in the inn if thats ok.)

As the party moves into the next cave, they find a giant worm shaped thing happily slurping up the red stuff that is splattered everywhere, it is ignoring them...for now.

For someone who has never been on a quest before and has no equipment, Tells steps boldly onward without fear or hesitation. As he walks he jokes about joking the Wizard to death.
Unlike his comrade, William walks forward confident that his armor and pokey stick will be enough to face any foe, either way, he moves onward with Tells.
Laughs moves to the right while fiddling with his beard to make it into a stealthier shape or at least out of the way. He ends up tweaking his beard, which moves fluidly beneath his touch, into a hipster look.
With a bit more concern for her safety, Walks creeps to the right pokey stick at the ready. Luckily for her, nothing in the room attacks anyone.
Feeling naked and less confident, Soars is happy to slink back to the back of the group in case anything tries to attack them.

William will go to the far side of the rocks with red all over them from the worm and see if he can place a small bit on [s]his finger[/s]The blunt end of his spear to smell and see what it is...
William will also say "Thanks Walks...might have done something foolish there..."

Without him stating this, Laughs only knows he's inspecting the substance, and is willing to guard him regardless of where he chooses to put it. ;) For all he knows, William will taste it after smelling it.

Not trying to put words/actions into your mouth/post, and BA will be updating based on what you say he's doing, not what Laughs thinks he might do... :D

"William, you might want to use your stick to get some of that red goo. It might be corrosive." Walks advises to use caution and stands ready to fight the worm - in case it attacks - with her pointy stick. If no such thing (anything attacks) happens, she'll take a peek into the next cave (= move on if 'just looking' doesn't work).

William pushes the end of his pokey stick into the red stuff. As the stick breaks the hardened surface, the smell of blood is instantly recognizable.

As William breaks the surface of the blood, the creature finally notices you. It brings its ugly head up and screeches at you with the vigor of someone who just got disturbed during their dinner time. Already quite bloated from its meal, the worm decides against fighting six at once and it slithers to the right as fast as possible.

Laughs stands at the ready to swing at the creature if it moves to attack
Tells tries to sound confident as he offers his help "Ill just wait here and back you guys up if this worm is hostile".
Soars continues to stay near the back of the group but makes ready in case the need to fight arises.

Walks moves forward after the creature and finds herself in a large cavern.

The worm thing has found itself backed into a corner.

William will go into the next room and see if he can use the ovals in the wall to climb up to the next level. Though if the worm attacks he will attack it. Note he will use the far ones that do not appear to have any blood on them.

If the worm attacks: Walks will poke it with the pointy stick.
Else: Walks examines the 'ladder holes', especially that one discolored one (with the tail? O.o).
If it is safe to climb up, Walks does so, and goes left.


@ team: That worm seems to be a carnivore/bloodsucker/carrion eater. Letting it live could be risky (especially if it multiplies after having had its fill :paranoia: ). OTOH, it hasn't been hostile so far. I kind of don't like the idea of killing off everything everywhere just because it's there. What does everyone else think?

OOC: I personally don't see a reason to kill the worm unless it makes threatening moves towards us
Soars will move into the next cave and assuming the worm doesn't attack he'll climb up to the second level avoiding the discolored handhold.

Haven't played this signature game in a long while but I'll try it out again.

Having overcome his fear that he may die on his first adventure, Dies hurries after the group.

Everything is going smoothly until William starts to climb the grooves. The worm screeches something that sounds like a mix of pain and anger and charges at him and strikes him, but his defenses save him. Luckily both Laughs and Walks are ready to stab and whack at the thing. A well placed smack from Laughs in the belly of the beast causes an explosion of blood and gore which sends globs of blood and flesh in all directions. Walks & William are hit with the majority of the splattering pieces which covers their fronts from head to toe. Laughs is only hit with a little bit of the splatter, but his bendable beard absorbs the color and turns a deep shade of red.

Oblivious to the battle as it was over as they arrived, both Tells and Soars climb up the ovals that have been cut into the wall and ascend to the next level and then enter the top left cave.

New Information
Fake Beard thing - Can absorb/change color when in contact with a new color different from its current one.
Cave 4 - The black and brown thing, if you didn't guess is a tunnel which will lead to a new cavern within the mountain, you will run into more of these.
