Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
Ah, that'd be good. I'll wait until level 3 and treat it as though I'm using the on-level swap, I just feel like that's more appropriate.
Also, Mehr is especially shiny. Because scales.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
I can't really say much that hasn't already been said regarding this last fight. I don't think I made a secret of thinking that this was potentially going to end in a TPK (albeit of a more KO variety than an actual kill), but that had more to do with the dice than anything.
I was also feeling pretty strongly how limited Syli was, albeit that's half my fault, a quarter the fault of the dice, and a quarter just unavoidable happenstance. Between a weapon that only hit at spitting distance (and Syli is NOT a melee fighter), three spell slots, and no combat forms for wildshape, I'm actually surprised Syli made as much of an impact on the fight as she did. This is actually going to be one of my first times playing a character who has a primary role of battlefield control in combat, and it was interesting watching how that Entangle partially fouled up the flanking attack on Mehriv and myself, even with the lizards easily beating the save against it.
Mostly, though, the lesson I took from this is that I need to go find a dire wolf/tiger/other CR1, so that the NEXT time our casters get exposed and flanked, the attacker winds up being the one getting mauled.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm pretty much broken from lack of sleep right now. So... talk amongst yourselves. Sorry.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

Well if she is he will just club her and bring her back. That was the original plan before the sneaking failed.

Hopefully it doesn't get used each time you cast it.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
It'd have to be a pretty damn powerful spell to warrant consuming a 50gp object every time.

Came across this today...
I'm fine with it taking however long we rolled, just thought it was interesting and possibly relevant?

Seems like a time saver and appears to be relevant, especially now since we are in the proverbial "danger zone".

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
Ok, cool that's an obscure rule I would never have considered but if JC says it's good, then go ahead and roll your hit dice (if you still have any) and you can be back to consciousness after the 1 hour instead of 4.

Re: The Wandering Archipelago (OOC)
I should probably roll one too, even though I'm waking up at the same time, just so I come back with more than one hp.
1d6+2 = [4]+2 = 6
Hrm... Since if I rolled maximum healing on a second die it would only just bring me to full health, I don't think it's a waste to use the second die.
1d6+2 = [5]+2 = 7
So Mehr heals to 13 hp at the cost of both his hit dice.

And Varsk had been doing so well. Damn.
At least he may have gotten some support for the group before getting lost forever in the jungle.
