Okay lets see here..... Maji moves 2-3 (not sure cause he is on a line) downright, 1 down and then fires his acid lazer on as many as he can with hitting as few allies as possible

Maji: You hurry to support those at the well, unleashing a torrent of acid (that Randy leans back to avoid the splash of) that melts two of the little twigmen into bundles of sticks.

Re: The Sundered Way
Holger grimaces at Randy's lack of response and decides to take a chance and cast sleep near the well. I think I should be able to get the one near Krodop and the others at the well with one spell.
Holger sleep: 5D8 = [7, 7, 2, 7, 8] = 31
Holger wild magic: 1D20 = [7] = 7
Whoops, a bit more powerful than I expected, might take someone down with the twig blights
Might be too late but here's a roll for Holger to know whether the creatures can be put into a magical induced sleep and he would change his attack into a fire bolt at the creature he is flanking
Holger arcana: 1D20+2 = [11]+2 = 13

Re: The Sundered Way
Holger: You're not quite able to fit all of the blights in the radius of your sleep effect, so opt to make sure you hit the ones near the well. As you mutter the incantation and flick your hands in the proscribed manner, you see the four twig blights slow their agitated movement, and halting, root themselves into the ground, looking just like dead bushes once again. Unfortunately, Randerwaith also sways on his feet before crumpling to the ground unconscious.
Krodop clobbers the one in front of him, sending it scattering.
Top of the Order
At Camp: MAP!
Nemeia up, sleepy Randy's naptime after her.

One more HP and it would be Randy and Coljin down. Randy got to take a nap on the flip of a coin.

Eh? Did Holger ask something? I don't see it.Theis2 wrote:Holger grimaces at Randy's lack of response and decides to take a chance and cast sleep near the well. I think I should be able to get the one near Krodop and the others at the well with one spell.
Well, as long as nothing tries munching on Randy, he'll be slightly annoyed, but since it made good tactical sense he'll probably applaud the strategy. (Although, he might be a bit suspicious that Holger did it deliberately since he's the only one down.)

I believe he was looking to Randy as the expert to weigh in. Turns out there is nothing in the MM that says they don't... so... sleepy twigmen.Theis2 wrote:"Can they sleep?"

Re: The Sundered Way
I seem to remember in the old rules that as long as it had at least animal intelligence (provided it wasn't an artifact like a golem or an undead), sleep would work. Sorry, missed it in the conversation. Randy wasn't deliberately ignoring Holger. Lurks was skimming through the conversation. (I've missed test questions because of that. )

A very crucial question that could have screwed us over extremely if they couldn't sleep as I would have knocked out all of you instead

Re: The Sundered Way
Nemeia decides that Holger seems to have the south-east area covered and takes aim at the twig-creature to the south-west of her location, completely fluffing the roll.
ATT: Ranged attack+Dex+Prof: 1D20+2+2 = [3]+2+2 = 7
She curses but stays put.

Re: The Sundered Way
Nemeia/Tess: You punch one of the arrows through a bit of cloth, and lighting it on fire, loose at one of the creatures near Holger, the flaming bit perhaps a bit distracting as it arcs into the night.
Randerwaith: You are currently sleeping without fear or concern.
One of the twigmen rushes Zephyr, its claws scraping across her shield.
The remaining two within the camp attack Ulmwin and Holger.
The bard gets raked by wooden claws for 2 damage.
Holger attempts to get out of the way too late... ((using your reaction?))
Those of you that heard the rustling of a fleeing twig blight earlier really have to strain to still hear it...
At Camp: MAP!
Zephyr, Ulmwin and then Rudolph are up.

Ulmwin will strike at the blight again, this time more aware to strike it, if with a bit less force.
Ulmwin attack (rapier with flanking bonus): [1d20+6] = 13+6 = 19[1d8+1] = 4+1 = 5

Re: The Sundered Way
Seeing all the branches by him shudder and stop, Rudolph looks for an active threat and rushes over to dispatch it.
If he can get a diagonal flanking angle on the one fighting Ulmwin he'll head there and cleave (=14 or 16 flanking) his blade through thewooden branches.

Re: The Sundered Way
Zephyr slashes at the remaining twigman Attacking: 1D20+5 = [2]+5 = 7, but apprently wasn't putting her heart into the swing. She withdraws from the twigman and begins to move in the direction of the others. if that means taking the AoO, then that's okay.

Re: The Sundered Way
Holger: As the twig creature swipes at you, you hastily cast shield, its wooden claws turned by the bubble of force wrapping around you.
Zephyr: Seeing your companions fighting on the other side of the fire, you slash at the one in front of you as you turn and head towards the others. You swing goes high as it ducks under, but as you move away, it slashes at your ankles, but you are too quick and have already moved away.
Ulmwin: This time you manage to skewer the head of the twig blight, as it dies, it loses the humanoid semblance, reverting to the appearance of dead brush as it falls from your blade.
Rudolph: You hurry to help dispatch the last standing one near the fire here, and easy shear it in half.
At Camp: MAP!
Coljin, Maji, Holger, Krodop.

Re: The Sundered Way
So the only one not dead/asleep is the one that ran away and the one north?
In that case....I think I want to cast burninate(druidcraft create fire size of a campfire) on the southleft tree that is away from other trees.
