Hang in there, Thunt.

And remember, surgery is a good thing. You'll feel better afterward.

*shrugs*

Personally, I think being honest is worth being called an asshole. But I say that as someone with pseudonym on an anonymous forum, so I totally understand that you as someone using their real name and exposed to their entire audience (and beyond into the wider internet) need to protect yourself by keeping your opinions private. And I'm sad if this means that you won't be doing any more podcasts, since regardless of its slant it's fun to listen to a bunch of people joking around and relaxing.

Thank you THunt. I think a break from personal internet publicity is a good idea. It will give you a lot less stress I believe.
Hope the surgery turns/turned out ok. Take it easy! :)

Hey Thunt, you probably won't see this until after your surgery, but thank you. I really appreciate your acknowledgment that I wasn't being intentionally hurtful. I know what it's like to be in the grip of a strong emotion and say things I end up regretting later. What you've said now, after having time to think about it with a clear head, supersedes your emotional reaction in my book.

All of which is to say that I accept the apology, and I also hope you're feeling better. Regardless of who is or isn't responsible for your emotions, it still sucks that you went through a bunch of lousy ones. So I hope the coming weeks will be better than the previous ones!

@Thunt_Goblins: Back home. Still alive. Very drugged.
Sounds like the surgery went as well as could be expected. Here's hoping it actually fixes things. He's been in a lot of pain for a long time.
Mostly offline/inactive due to chronic health issues. PM me if you really need attention.

Twitter: Vote on Storylines

Post by Krulle » Tue Nov 24, 2015 6:16 am

On Twitter, there's right now a vote about story line preferals:
@Thunt_Goblins wrote:Which story arc do you enjoy more in Goblins?
[ ] Minmax, Thaco, etc
[ ] Forgath, Idle, etc
Let's crank the number of votes a bit more up (I was vote number 257)...

Alas, Twitter's read-only for me; I stubbornly refuse to register an account. So I'll just say here that, me? I'm still more invested in the MM/Goblins story-thread.

That may change, of course, as the new storyline unfolds, but right now, it's amusing enough but doesn't have that "Wait, what happens NEXT?" force pulling me into it.

The vote is over, but I cannot see any results.
When I voted, some 83% voted in favour of GAP+MM as intermdiatry result.

Dies was alas not a choice, I would have preferred that too.

I believe Asks meant the MAP.. the Monster Adventuring Party, not the map. :P

Asks doesn't have time for capitalization or punctuation. ;)

Ah well. The MAP will not be a major player anyway.
If I remember correctly, Thunt alluded to us meeting them again, but in the context of one of our narratives encountering them during their travels.

And this shows that a minimum of punctuation and capitalization is really helping to transmit what you want to write.

The GOBLINS logo on the website is purple. How long has it been purple? It was green before.

the "s" also looks like a "5".
Yesternight I did not notice that (I did look at the logo for some reason). So can't be that long.

Why does it look like a "5"? Because we're in book 5?

Well you certainly are living up to your name there, Mr. Wants-to-waste-newly-introduced-major-characters-and-add-conveniences-which-is-very-contrary-to-this-story.

If the theory that these new guys are the 3 other players from the beginning (the drow then the samurai team) is true, it could well be that they're destined to die horribly and quickly after their introduction because that seems to be what they do :)

Thunt's said (before they came in) that Idle/Bowst are his favourite characters. That doesn't mean they're immortal, but they're sure to get decent screentime (pagetime? paneltime?) before departing.
