Wonder how long it will take Minmax to remember Oblivious.

The question is whether he can move his hands sufficiently to try to grab his sword.
No grabbing movement -> no sword.

Also Big Ears Axe of Prissan is not above him, otherwise he could will the sword to fall through him and possibly snap a vine on the way down.

Next time Minmax summons Oblivious, his hand will be gray and the background red (I think) so I guess they are gonna get out of this one in some other way.

Note, how everyone calls Complains of Names as "Complains" and Minmax calls him "Names". Now, everyone calls senor Vorpal Kickaxo "Vorpal" and Minmax said "Kickaxo". :shifty:
I wonder, why didn't he call Forgath "Bladebeard" :meh:

A textual one, then - Thac0 misses a question mark in "What?". I know it's hard to convey tone through text and we can't see his face, but he's still asking MM something.

Actually, that'd be here - Ears needed to get him out on the next page.

It's Complains of Names. And he often just says "What.". (Panel 2, Panel 5)
Maybe due to him being a part-demon.
I noticed a few times before.

Indeed, last page it was Thaco in the second-to-last panel...

For me the missing questionmark just convey a certain disinterest... Just like some say "Why?" jsut to be polite, without any real interest in hearing an answer.

I Must admit I still admire MM's train of thoughts... When first that old ineffective steam powered brain gets going there is nothing stopping it... Not even the obvious mistakes it makes...

....Yeah, since it was established earlier it makes sense to imagine it this time.

Why are they not trying to cut them? Thaco's hand seems pretty loose.

Yup, Minmax is still a complete moron. Unbelievably so too. Good to see that never changes... No offense, but I found nothing funny or remotely interesting this comic. *shrug* Maybe next time.

Yep, consistency of character and stats. Good to see that happen. I found this comic to be quite funny and interesting. More please!

I cannot agree. This, this and this show that Minmax is capable of far smarter solutions to problems than he is showing in the current strip. That is very inconsistent.

He is, but he is also capable of the most profound stupidity available as we all know. This is just one of those moments.

Minmax is painfully missing Forgath's influence to try to keep him out of trouble - they were a semi-balanced team. They were even better when they included Kin. It's hard to witness Minmax acting without counterbalance - THunt is rubbing it in how lost MM is without his teammates.

Yeah, I also didn't find this page hilarious or funny, this exact formula of "Minmax being continiously unable to understand the futility of his action, but still repeating it 3 times nonetheless, while Thaco and his son discuss it" was already used. So, it felt a bit deja vu. But still, the page is good, I like this better, than 3 jokes jammed into 1 page, like it was in the Forgath meets Bowst & Idle ones. Good stuff. Keep 'em coming.

Heh, that makes me wonder if they're going to be trying to sneak up on something when Minmax grabs his sword.

As far as oblivious goes-

Id be surprised if minmax is even capable of initiating the thought process required to use oblivious for something non-combat related to get himself out of a situation.

Minmax is often clever when combat's involved, and moronic otherwise.

One of ru-readers noticed another one: on the middle frames of the last row, one of the ropes holding Thaco's right hand is missing, the one that goes across diagonally. It's present in the last frame and in the first row.

Colored version is up http://www.goblinscomic.org/06072015/
Although, it doesn't fix fangs or the ropes.

Could be the ropes just happen to line up from the angle in those panels, one behind the other.

I think the action lines around struggling Minmax might look a little too hard with the face blurred like that. I'm not sure how it would look with softer lines, maybe thinner? Or maybe I just need to get used to it.
