Goblin Eyes

Post by Davis8488 » Tue Jan 27, 2015 11:07 pm

I had a thought today (as my eyes were filled with dirt) that the protective eyelids of Thuntonian Goblins would be particularly effective for repelling dust, dirt, sand, and similar debris. I wonder if we will see a situation where gives the GAP an advantage in combat. (Minmax would likely also do well in such a situation, as he has an indestructible purple eye.)

If anything I say offends you I am sorry. It is likely late and I am tired, or I'm upset and I am not thinking straight, and though I sincerely wish I could, I can't express myself in such a way that helps you be less of a crybaby.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

The last page actually makes it look like the black eyes are the pupils expanding. This doesn't seem to make much sense, but look at Complains's eyes as they're going back to normal.

I think that's more area lighting reflecting off glossy eyes. Particularly as tears starting welling up just before his eyes revert back.

I forget where, but I believe Thunt has explained the black eyes as a type of protective eyelid.

It's an actual hardening of the eyeball, somehow. Sort of like how you can tighten your abs to better take a punch to the gut, goblins have muscles or something that harden the eye itself.

I have no idea what is going on there, but it seems like a bad idea.

Wait, so the purple stuff covering Minmax's other eye is actually functional?

Yep, it was even demonstrated later with Forgath's beard which was regenerated by the same method.
