Mail box bug

Postby ChuckDaRighteous » Wed Dec 17, 2014 3:11 pm

I wasn't really paying attention and I let my forum mailbox fill up. And then I received a new message. It says I have one new message, and my email has a notification that says I received one on the forum, but when I go to my mailbox its got nothing new in it. Even after clearing the mailbox out a little, its still stuck saying I have 1 new message at the top of the screen. Its not too big of a deal. Though I'm constantly checking my messages now out of OCD before I remember the (1 new message) message is bugged.

This is not a bug, just another weird "feature" of phpBB.
There should be a link "Receive new messages" present. It is not automatic, you have to follow this link after you cleared some space.

I'm guessing you had never seen this lot.

Chuck, yes, when it gets full you have to click on a thing to get it to reload and sort in your new PMs. It isn't a button, just some linked text. Mouse over stuff where it gives you the notice, I don't remember the exact wording, but it's something similar to what was mentioned above.

There is a nearly unnoticeable report button (exclamation mark) beside a quote button. No need to answer to necroposting spammers, just report them.

Ah, didn't see that the rest of the thread was a bit old and likely resolved.
